Masaru stood ready besides the evacuating civilians over the sound of the warning sirens. He knew what was coming. They all did. The Insanity-Infected, the Mad ones, they were approaching. He nervously watched the horizon for the horde. How long ago was it that the announcement was made? 10 minutes? 5? He didn't have a watch, and he couldn't remember how long it would take them to get here. He just hoped they wouldn't come for a little while more. Just a little more time, already, most of the civilians were inside. He wanted to run, honestly, go into the shelter. His powers were on the fritz, and he was limited to Bes, who's powers had... changed. But he didn't dare mention this fact, because reinforcements were still far off. Oh, how he wished he could run right now.. But he couldn't let even one slip by him, and nor could he run for that same reason. For if even one infected slipped into the civilian shelter somehow... Well, he didn't want to think about it. At that moment, he began to see the first signs of them, immediately hitting the button for reinforcements on a nearby intercom. The announcement that followed told him that reinforcements would be there to help him in about 15 minutes or so. The question going through Masaru's head, though, was "Can I survive 15 minutes against a horde?" "Here we go..." He whispered in a slightly scared tone as he was about to find out the answer to that question.

Control Of Masaru now goes to you, Dan. Combat starts next turn. Your goal is to survive 15 turns until reinforcements arrive at your position in a P.vs H. battle (check the battle guide and rules for more details under "Horde".) Prepare yourself.

At that moment, the horde came shambling towards Masaru. From here on out, until reinforcements arrived, he would be on his own. Civilians were still evacuating as well, and he would have to pray he could hold out long enough for everyone to get to safety. At that moment, a foul mist filled the area, the first sign that they were here.

Much of the horde was blown back by the powerful gust of wind, but just as many kept marching on, some even trampling the ones that were knocked down. At that moment, they began to swarm him, trying to infect him with their poison.

"Not to use a cheesy pun, but that looked like it really blew you away- ow, he bit me! Ow, he bit me too!" That required a rather hasty retreat, or at least a quick dodge. The first bite attempt was successful, with it coming a lot of concern. Can it spread through bites? Just like zombies?!
At least he avoided the second bite attempt. The less of that, the less likely he'll have to find out.

The winds had blown back the horde entirely, finishing it. However, Akira knew better than to assume that he had won just yet. He knew that typically, the hordes came in waves, and as a result, he knew this was only a brief respite. Best for him to take advantage of it while he could, because he could already see the next wave coming at him...
Enemy Stats:
None. Defeated... for now. Turns survived: 3/15.
OOC:
Each time a horde wave is defeated, you will have two turns to yourself in between waves. Take note of this, because this might just be how you survive this...

OOC Soundtrack Shift: A More Fitting Battle Theme:
Mad Surge has been changed to Legend of The Lunatic~Act 1 in the Personal Soundtrack.
The Walkie-talkie began to crackle to life, speaking in a somewhat static-y voice: "Hey... Masaru? Masaru! Come in, Masaru! We have received your call for reinforcements. We'll send you a unit to back you up once we can secure the main areas, so hold out until then! I repeat, we have received your call, and will send back-up as soon as we can!" It said before being cut off, another sign of the infected, the weirdness aura they gave off in large numbers creating a jamming frequency. Which meant another horde was coming, led by one of the infected holding a flag. Right at that moment, he could see them. No bigger than last time, thankfully. He might just live to see tomorrow yet.
