Fishy Friend! (Gabe)

The girl would gasp with excitement. "We got one! We got one! Look how cute and tiny it is!" Callie would be beaming with joy as Gabe pulled the fish in closer so that she could take a proper look at it. She had no clue what kind of fish it was, if it was just a baby or if that was its full size, she didn't even know where she'd keep it once she had got it back home. Yet despite all of that, the fishy was perfect! Hurriedly, the girl would hold up the container of water for Gabe to put the fish into before watching the little fish swim circles around its new temporary home. "I can't believe we did it! Thank you so much Gabe!" The girl would say happily, not taking her eyes off her new found pet. Once she did finally look back up to Gabe, she'd ask him a question of dire importance and of most highest honor. "What should we call it? I want you to choose its name!"

Yea, that little guy doesn't seem all that scared in being pulled from one place to another. Also, I'm glad it didn't get hurt as we were pulling the line. " Gabe then reached into his pocket and pulled out a 20 dollar bill. "Ok, so now, here is the most important things you should know. " Gabe would say as he placed a finger out. "Step one, buy a proper bowl at the pet store using the money I gave you, should only be ten bucks. It will have some nice coral, maybe a chest. it'll feel right at home. " Gabe then revealed a second finger. "Step two, buy a bag of flakes for it to eat and make sure you don't over feed it. The fish don't know when to stop eating, so never assume its always hungry or starving. Just two shakes, and that's all for the day."

The third finger came up. "Finally, you need to clean the tank once a week, empty all the dirty water and place it in clean water. That's why you need to keep that small bowl so you can scoop it out while changing the water. Having a pet is a big responsibility, and it does take patience in order for you to get the hang of it, you won't be an expert right away. Also, always ask questions at the pet store. " Gabe would then smile. "Think you can do that?"

Though, the question of the name came up in his head. "Name it? Hmm.... Yūkan, it means brave. Its a brave little fish. Is that ok?"

Okay, okay, so first of all she had to find the pet store and buy the fishy a home. That should be pretty easy, she had been there before not too long ago! She'd be sure to get it a super nice bowl for it to swim around. Then she had to buy it food, that made sense! But only feed it a certain amount, not too much cause it does what? Why would it not know when it was too full? Does it not get that stuffed feeling after eating a mountain load of food? N-not that she had ever done that before... P-promise.

Huh? Wait! He carried on talking whilst she was thinking? Something about having a pet is a big responsibility? "I uhm. Yeah! I got all that, I think. I'll be sure to ask at the pet shop for anything that I forgot, they'll probably be sure to tell me before I go anyway." The girl would reply with a light-hearted giggle once Gabe had finished his explanations. "Yukan? That sounds pretty! I like it!"

"I'll come with you to carry the things to your destination at least, just to make sure you don't accidentally drop the fish bowl or anything. Taking care of Yukan can be quite pricey, we should be gentle with his things. " Gabe would say as he started to pack up a little bit of his fishing gear. He didn't want to cut it short, but he still wanted to watch over the little one for a while longer. "I can always fish some other time, so it's not so bad.

"You'll come too? Awesome!" The now excited girl would jump to her feet and get ready to head off towards the pet store. She knew which way it was from here, she could even show Gabe a few short cuts along the way! That way she could teach him a thing or two in return for all the cool and awesome things he had taught her! "Come on Gabe! The fastest way there is this way! Trust me, we'll be there in no time!" She'd call out behind her as she already set off in the direction of her 'short cut'. Should Gabe follow her, she would take a weird winding and seemingly random path through the forest at first before appearing at the side of the city, looping then through various alleyways and eventually reaching the pet store in record time. "It's time for us to buy you a new home little Yukan!"
