...wow. Looked like Maverick had quite a rough early life. Perhaps worse than hers in a sense. At times, Brittany would think being an orphan was better than having a dysfunctional violent family that could potentially mess your life and mind up. With wide eyes, she preferred to not comment on that, mainly because she didn't know what to say in first place.

"You mean, "hungry"...?", the girl smirked, Maverick's english and pronunciation weren't that great indeed as she was warned before. At least he was trying to stay civil and polite, contrary to the disastrous first impression. With a playful nod as demonstration of Maverick's chivalry, she entered the Starbucks, taking a careful look for the environment. "So, have you decided what you're gonna ask? I doubt they serve meat here, but...they serve mate! See? Meat. Mate. Almost the same thing!" Okay, maybe not. But the joke made her chuckle at her own attempt of being humorous.

“Oh? What’s mate?” he asks, expecting the answer to be an edible food. He looks around, seeing many people on either the phones or laptop. The place reeked of slightly higher society, but he kept his expression straight. The place did have coffee. Lots of it He looked at Brittany laughing at something. He found her whimsical nature somewhat cute. Though slightly annoying, he found her to be all around adorable. Though he would never say that aloud. He smiled slightly and went to the counter. Starbucks where he came from had many more food items, but this one will currently do. “I want your most caffeinated beverage. On the double. And get whatever my lady friend here wants too.” Maverick looked away at the counter to get another look at the people who were there. It was surrounded by people who looked bluntly meek. They all were skinny, most were in their early 20s. What a bunch of nerds.

Frankly, she was already expecting that question, to which the answer was right at the tip of her tongue. "It's like...tea! But the taste is very different from everything you know about teas. I mean, it tastes like tea, but it sorta doesn't at the same time. Dunno who invented it, but it's great! Just like, hum....cappuccino! I don't like coffee too much, but cappuccino is just fine. It's like a coffee that, you know, doesn't taste like coffee! Speaking of which, I'm gonna order one. The biggest cup ever, because I need a lot of energy this day and because you're so kind that you wouldn't mind paying for me!" The girl grinned mischievously to Maverick, a sign she was perfectly comfortable with the guy treating her for a drink. It didn't cross her mind any flirtatious nature in regards to their interaction, but a display of kindness she made no ceremony to accept for the fun of it. "So, do you like it here? Is it too different from your home?"

Maverick thought about his old life. He shuddered. The thought of his former life was a strain on his mind. He felt unclean about it. As if it was a disease. In truth, he felt as if coming to Endy was a pilgrimage, to please the deity that was his untamed nature. "It was luxurious I had maids and butlers catering to my every whim. I hated it. I hated being guilded. I am a man who likes the more...unorthodox things. I like activities where the blood is pumping. And with everything going on in Endy, I can get into some activities like that. How about you? We're you born and raised here?" He started to think about his dad. Probably in his office, working with the mob, managing his drugs, or hookers or whatever illegal shit he was in to.

"Wow, really? That's soooo rad!" Eyes widened and eyebrows rose once more in surprise the moment she heard the mention of butlers and maids serving Maverick. Giving it a deeper thought, he was definitely not the type who'd suit a bountiful, wealthy life, taking into account his mannerisms, brash attitude and vulgar language. He can easily be mistaken for a punk rather than someone of aristocratic lineage. That is, despite using the word "unorthodox". If anything, this part of the redhead's vocabulary is the only thing remotely high-classed in him.

"Oh yeah, I was born here and all. But nevermind, tell me how was it back then in...Ireland, right? Did you see leprechauns? Here, we only have leprechauns as garden ornaments. You know, the little statues to attract luck and scare little animals. Like scarecrows! Oh, was it cold there?" Brittany laid her elbows on the table, resting her chin on her hands as she awaited with great expectations (and a little bit of naivety) the tales about Maverick's life in a foreign country. It didn't look like she would stop asking questions about him instead of telling about her past; having nothing better to do as of now, spending quality time getting to make acquaintanceship with new neighbor and a foreigner sounded too exciting of a pastime.

Maverick sighed. This lass is beginning to be more trouble than she's worth. Time too eject.
Maverick did enjoy his time with Brittany, he really did, but he could only take so much talking. He looked at his phone. "Oh shit. I gotta get going. If you ever want to drop bye, be my guess, you know where to find me. Same apartment. Bye. Maverick left the table as quickly as he could.
