"What an.. interesting choice." Serenity spoke with a curious tone at Maria's decision on what reserve Cadet to call. However, she must have surely wanted this woman called for some reason, so she placed the call. Now all they had to do was wait. Serenity stood off to the side, more so in her own thoughts, while tinkering with her glove on her left hand. Every few seconds or so it'd give a violent shock before calming down. The violet eyed young woman was trying to keep her mind off Julius' situation and potentially what could have been happening to him. Little did many know, the world for the past five years was chaos. This peace now came from sacrifice. Sacrifice from her Mother, and her Brother. They did all they could to stop the demons, but not just them. Anyone who was a follower of the same chaos that woman followed back then. Though Serenity had never met the woman but her Mother knew much of her. If there were those following her footsteps it was best they were removed from this society.

When Vivian arrived, Serenity's eyes would look towards the woman. She, of course, couldn't recognize her. Her eyes weren't as keen as Julius when it came to people. But regardless, they had waited long enough. The Princess patted herself down and looked towards the two females. "Okay then, let's continue. We've spent too much time standing around." She didn't sound commanding, but she was rather stern towards moving forward. Who wouldn't want to make sure their brother was okay?

As the call was being made, Maria tried to take this time to rest up as much as she could. She dug Andraste's spike into the ground and started to lean on the Demon Weapon, carefully balancing on it so that it wouldn't fall over. Whatever respite this time period provided, it wouldn't be enough to alleviate the symptoms. Every nook and cranny of her body experienced painful discomfort. The places where the Church's surgeons had cut into her skin throbbed painfully. Even with all the teeth gritting, she couldn't bear to pretend it didn't affect her for long as her breath started to show signs of pain in irregular rhythms. Maria continued to pretend they were nothing, hoping Serenity wouldn't notice.

There were irregular beats in her heart, making her feel more in anxiety than she should be. The Forgotten hadn't experienced these symptoms for a while now. Was this because she started to use Andraste more? She had expected that her body would undergo potential side effects. Yet to feel them now for the first time, it wasn't the ideal situation at all. Strangely enough, her teeth started to throb uncomfortably and there was an odd thirst in her throat as she glanced at Serenity's smooth neck.

The sound of footsteps and the newcomer Cadet's greeting brought her back to attention, hopefully without the Princess noticing Maria looking at her. Her name was oddly familiar, but looking at her appearance, she couldn't quite remember who she was. It irritated her slightly, possibly fueled by her awful symptoms exhibited from her body. But, she decided to forget about it. They had a job to do and they wasted more than enough time here. Maria righted herself and shouldered the massive gun that was her Demon Weapon.

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Oates. Any assistance is appreciated, support or otherwise," she nodded at the older woman and then addressed them both, "Very well. We need to get to the bottom of this and verify the Prince's current condition. I will lead forward, please support me as best as you can."

Maria had confidence in her toughness, even if she was suffering from her condition. But seeing how she was going to be the party member to deal the most damage, it only made sense that she continued forward.

Of course Maria wouldn't recognize her, she had looked far different many years ago, though she was nonetheless disappointed that she didn't feel the shock of seeing an old acquaintance. Vivian nodded as Maria simply went on ahead to lead. She still was half tempted to leave the group and stay at the beginning, but what else was there for her to do here, but move on? She certainly didn't want to leave them to their own affairs after they just called for help. In the end, she would have to bite her tongue for now and continue forward. If the time came, then maybe. Either way, Vivian's mouth curled into an almost cocky grin as she joined the other two ladies. "Naturally, I will be like a badger in the night." She looked at the two for any lighter smiles, and then remained silent as she continued down the path.

Though, as they continued, the area did give her pause for thought. "I wonder why they decided to change this area of all places. If the terrorists here are like the others, and even if they aren't, they must have some purpose to use this location for their weird lab. Any ideas about what might have spurned this, or is this just par for the course weirdos in strange clothes? They love to make a show for themselves." She asked as someone who worked at the Maid Cafe. But in her defense, it was a place normal and allowed in the city, so who were the others to judge?

She stayed behind the two, watching the rear end as they made their turn. Never know when you might get jumped by folk who took the wrong turn heading to their underground night club. She did however look to Serenity during the walk this time to directly speak to her. "I've heard there were other new Cadets that joined some time ago. I'm sure the bigger ones are busy, but are the other newbies doing something in particular, or just sitting on their thumbs? I would love to know they are being more productive than I was at the time," she asked. She had not been keeping up to date with the events due to her own workload and house, so she had put herself on essentially a tertiary list of people that were called if requested or absolutely needed. She had yet to truly put herself out there to try a mission. Now that she was pulled into this strange escapade, that all might have to change and she would need to start putting in more work towards the Cadets and less on her Cafe. Times were tough here in Endymion.

Maria raised a confused eyebrow about Vivian's claim about being a badger. She couldn't quite make heads or tails at all about this woman. But she nodded again as if to give an awkward acknowledgement to her claim. "I'm not sure either. But I can't throw off the feeling that this might be related to the mission to capture Alice. The timing is too suspicious... Especially when Julius is here. What could they want here? In fact..."

Maria paused for a moment as she bit her lip in thought, then she began to ask the Princess, "Ma'am. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of business did your brother have here? I remember he was supposed to be patrolling tonight."

Maybe it could bring to light to specific details and theories. But that would have to wait and hopefully Serenity would answer once they were finished with the new batch of enemies.

Was this in fact a trap set up to catch Julius, or was he in the wrong place at the wrong time when dealing with them? Maybe he had caught onto their trail and they realized this. The ideas rolled into her head as she got ready for a fight. In the end it didn't matter until they rescued him. The dangers of today outweighed the fears of tomorrow.

"Sorry, but I do mind you asking. He'll be the one to tell you any of his personal business." Serenity did not look towards Maria when she said this, but instead would keep focused straight ahead. She didn't talk down to Maria or show any contempt, that was just how she felt about it. So her tone was still smooth like honey, and kind on the ears.

Well, that was fair. Not good to pry and the like, they had bigger issues like a Demon that was surely going to give them problems. She was obviously rattled, but she couldn't run just yet...until the first sign of trouble showed up. Her Persona came to her, with hands appearing around her neck, before they let go, and the ring behind Djinn shattered, transforming it into another creature entirely.
