Appearance:
Chhaya is a small and frail boy, standing at 5’ 3’’ and weighs 97 lbs, an obviously weak and sickly frame about him. He has an oddly violet tint to his hair, violet eyes, and a sickly complection about his skin. He has a polite and tired look across his face, often times leading him to appear quite creepy. He’s seen wearing very formal clothes, usually seen in a slightly oversized suit. He is also never seen without a strange teddy bear he calls Futago.

Personality:
At a first glance, Chhaya appears to be quite unsettling and creepy looking. However, the boy is actually quite polite and nice to those who get past his appearance. He’s known to be very thoughtful of others as well, often times remembering small details about others that most wouldn’t notice.
He’s, however, notably sickly and frail. This is what gives him his naturally creepy appearance. He’s known to have fits of lightheadedness and heart problems when engaging in most physical activities. Due to this, he’s considered a failure amongst the Vetomon and is reminded of this fact by his parents quite often.
Because of his rather unhealthy relationship with his parents, it can be said his mental state isn’t completely perfect. He’s not known to have bouts of insanity or to even be depressed, but the boy shows signs of paranoia and anxiety that will dictate his actions. Regardless of these mental issues, the boy appears to function quite well and hates to worry people with his physical and mental issues.
However, Chhaya appears to have evident issues concerning his parent’s treatment of him. Being the outcast and failure of his family has caused him much heartache, and in trying to regain his family’s acception, he has studied hard and long in hopes of becoming a cadet. It’s said he’s creating a fortress around him that one day he’ll be accepted back by his family, though, whether this is true or not is hard to tell.

—Description: Chhaya is an observant individual, capable of noticing the smallest detail about a person’s appearance and actions. This is a prominent skill of his as he’s capable of quickly understanding an enemy’s tactics in fighting and battle and can respond to said tactics promptly as a result.

—Description: Chhaya has a very elegant way of speaking. Though he may appear strange and creepy at first glance, his personality is very much different and boasts a friendly air about him. Aside from this, his etiquette is prominent in his actions and postures, showing very a well-mannered and proper person.

—Description: Chhaya is the leader and creator of the Media Sorority, and as such he has a common knowledge of the current events going on within the city of Endymion. He’s known to be constantly informed about the going-ons in Endymion and has created a network of information due to this.

—Description: Futago has the ability to change their appearance freely. For the most part, they appear as the bear Chhaya carries with him. However, they can appear switch to their true forms freely within and outside of battle.

—Description: Chhaya is physically weak and isn’t capable of performing physically demanding actions. This also makes it to where physical and real world hits have more of an impact on him.

—Description: Chhaya is an ill and sickly person. The bond he shares with his shadow is one that cripples his body and makes him noticeably weaker than others. He can become light headed and faint if participating in physically straining activities such as running and hand to hand combat.

—Description: While Chhaya seems cool and collected, he suffers from an intense anxiety. He stresses and worries over the possible failures that may happen in everyday life and is even said to be a catastrophobic.

—Description: Chhaya suffers from paranoia as well. He’s known to act strange around his parents and is said to even be afraid of them. He fears he may never be accepted back into his family and is afraid everything he’ll do will end in failure as a result.

Weapon Description:
Futago has two forms that it switches to and from. The first form is a teddy bear with an eye patch and small vest. This form stands at a foot tall and doesn’t act as a means for attacking. Futago’s second form, though, are a pair of twin demons. They are both six inches tall and appear to be small dolls with bat wings and horned hats. One wears pink and the other blue and both are capable of flight and fighting while in this form.

The Background
|
History:
Chhaya’s story is one that the Vetomon name is ashamed of. While Kero, his sister, is a new and promising member of the Vetomon name, Chhaya would appear to be the mistake they wish to hide away from the world.
The Vetomons are a military family that originated from Cambodia over ten generations ago. They have served in many wars and even had members in both world wars. They are a proud and strong family and are said to have more members loyally serving different militaries than any other family. As such, Chhaya was raised to be a member in the military, being pushed towards military tactics and war studies. Kero on the other hands seemed to be lacking in determination and maturity as the two trained alongside each other.
It took until the Great Divide to occur for the Vetomon family to find a way to ‘fix’ Kero. They found such a way in a Forgotten laboratory that had captured a demon during the Great Divide. While chaos was still running, Kero and her demon bonded exceptionally well, so well that Chhaya’s parents wished to have him bound to a demon as well.
However, Chhaya wouldn’t share in his sister’s luck as his binding to a demon ended in horrendous failure. The boy’s health quickly declined as he was bound and eventually he became completely unfit for military duty. Due to this failure, the Vetomon family have hid him away, permitting him to go to the academy simply due to the tactical training he retained.
The ill boy slowly, but surely became a prominent member within the school’s system. He founded the Media Sorority and became its leader and even created the school’s newspaper and news show. His hard work and determination accompanied by his tactical mid set makes him a promising cadet regardless of his rather frail body.
It’s unknown what will become of the boy, though, it’s said with the determination he holds towards showing his worth to his family is admirable. He may succeed, or he may be swallowed by his sister’s glory. Though, could it be said he’s simply lying to himself? It can be thought that the boy is building around him a fortress in hopes his family will one day accept him again. Will this become fruitful? Or will the boy’s fortress be torn down? Only time will tell for the failed experiment.
