Mae left the apartment complex with newfound resolve, as she directed her steps towards the Station. The sound of her shoes scraping over the asphalt echoed all over the empty streets, and with each one she took, her determination to find Charles only grew in strength. It hurt to leave San Malarus behind, but right now, she had to focus on someone she needed. And besides, the city was safe behind a massive barrier that probably wouldn't break any time soon. Once she reached the station proper, she stopped for a moment, thinking of which island she'd go to first... Well, out of all the islands she had to pick from, there were only two that really stood out to her as a place Charles would be at. Lunapa, or Penecia... And since she was more familiar with the latter of the two, that's where she ended up going first. Before heading through the barrier protecting San Malarus from intruders, she summoned her Soulbound, taking one last breath before she took her first step outside the protective bubble covering her home island. Now on the other side, there was no going back. She wasn't going to return until she had found Charles... She WOULD find him, or die trying.
She picked up the pace, after a little while, moving at the speed of a light jog through the tunnels aiming for Penecia Island. The girl was on the alert for anything and anyone that may ambush her, keeping the soulbound at the ready at all times. //Charles... Hang in there... I'm coming...//
