Eris, the spirit of strife was amazed to find that one day, there was a conflict that she herself did not start. She did not need to throw the Apple of Discord in order to start this conflict, which trouble and intrigued her greatly. Who could possibly make a conflict without me? She thought to herself as she investigated this odd occurrence. It didn't make sense, she was the spirit of strife! All conflict had to start from her. Unless...
No, it couldn't be! Was there a deity that could start a conflict without the need of her apples? She was the reason for every conflict! Was there one who was more powerful than her? On equal power levels? Hopefully not the first. But there was really no other explanation. She would feel the conflict that occurred. She felt the anger, the stress, but not from just the deities involved, she learned that this conflict was a lot greater than she thought. She felt others that were involved.
They had powers that she didn't quite know about at first, but after watching the events that unfolded so far, she learned a few things. She learned that the deities were Philemon and Nyarlahotep. She knew them, but was lucky not to meet either of them. They were powerful, but she learned that she too could grant powers like they could. When she investigated into the Power of Persona, she learned that other gods and goddesses were able to give this power to humans, but usually with either disastrous or fruitful effect. Eris would continue to watch with interest.
But there was a problem! This conflict was so boring! Eris, who was interested at first, became disgusted at the sight before her. There were so many soldiers in the war between Philemon and Nyarlahotep, but they didn't even know that their enemies existed! How lame. She was rather angry. The only conflict that she wasn't powerful enough to create, yet the two gods involved would keep it this boring?! She couldn't stand for this, she had to do something.
A text message would later be sent to the cell phones of all of the current Persona Users and Nyarlahotep's Children.
>>Hey losers! This is Eris, the spirit of strife. I'm informing you all that you are pathetic idiots that can't even wage a war correctly. That pisses me off. So you know what? I'm going to join this battle. There are others that are like you, they had your potential, but they didn't unlock it yet. Well, as you read this, they are currently becoming my slaves. Now I'm sure that you may be worried, so let me help you out a bit. There's a green door in your precious school, Kizuna Academy. Enter it and you'll find my arena, The Hippodrome. If you come in, you may be able to save whoever was taken by me, if not, they'll just hunt you down. I think this is a delicious twist to your horrible conflict. In the end, it'll be a deliciously bloody battle. So whether you ignore me or not, expect me. Later losers. <3 >>
The message would end suddenly like that. Now the choice was up to those who received the call. Would they answer her call and battle her? Save their friends? Let her come to them? Who knows? This is their story, Eris is just creating the prologue.
