Faithful Shopping [8D]

Liam always delayed his shopping needs until the last minute, when he almost didn't have anything to eat anymore. He didn't know if it was because he didn't like shopping for anything in general and took a lot of time deciding on what to buy in the end or if it was the reminiscence of his grandmother that still lingered in this activity, but nonetheless here he was again.
The red-haired boy got all he needed in some bags and is now walking in the streets aimlessly for a while, seeing if something new is up. Letting yourself to observe the people and the things happening around you once in a while is rather nice, and maybe something will pick his interest.

AH! What a beautiful day to be back in town. Wait... Why is 8D here? Shouldn't he be over in Backlight? After all he just got back and Little Tokyo is far out of his way... Well lets just say he had a little detour on his way home ehehe...-And leave the passage of time and events out of this- Regardless of why he was here, he LOVED the Tokyo strip. Though he himself was not particularly interested in the various knickknacks and frivolities that tended to line this part of town, he could appreciate the atmosphere and the people watching. Oh the sites just filled his robo heart with so much JOY! It almost made him want to sing! But there was no time for that... He was infact here for a mission...

With a happy smirk he would duck into an alleyway for a moment to disappear from sight. Only a moment latter would he return with a table and table cloth set up on the side of the sidewalk. Ehehe. Sense he was back in town and flat broke... Might as well make a bit of VC to fill his pockets.

Everything was like the normal day into the Tokyo strip until Liam saw that strange booth in the sidewalk. What was that? Te man approached curiously, looking from the side of his eyes before really making a move. ~Uh...What are you doing, Mister?~ It sure was a sight to see, as the man conducting that little place was all colorful and a little strange himself, but maybe something interesting would come out of that.

-Well Well Well! Our first taker, Ehehe, Oh and he's one of the many unknown ones... How quaint...Well no point in being rude to the kind fellow! I might as well put my best foot forward! Well, go on! Get me a soci-8D let out a happy and heartfelt laugh as his very first costumer of the day approached. My my my what a well built fellow hate to be the guy that gets on this wall of a man's bad side. "OH why hello there my friend! My name is Grins the Mysterious! I see all and know all! The eyes behind this mask can peer past the veil and bare witness to the lands beyond! And for a modest fee I can share my vast sight with you my good man." 8D paused for a moment as he twirled his black sphere on one thin bony finger

"Trust me my good man, it is a... SIGHT to behold! Ehehehe," He cackled at his own pun happily, momentarily forgetting that this bear of a man was even still standing at his shop.

Sure the strange man picked his interest, but his way of saying things was a little bit... Strange, to say the least. Liam would glance at him with doubt on his eyes, but after some thought he would put on a sly smile. ~ Okay mister Grins... Yes? How can i know you aren't just a ruse? I'm not gonna pay to be fooled, you know? ~ He passed all his shopping bags to one hand and grabbed an apple inside one of them and took a bite, still eyeing the clown. It was not that easy to fool him, although his trick with that sphere was really interesting.
The response to that joke was just an raised eyebrow, before taking another bite of his apple. That guy was truly eccentric, huh?

"You wish for a demonstration of my incredible site do you? I suppose that is only fair, after all, to catch the.. APPLE Of your eye I'd have to be rather good! Ehehe..." 8D nearly collapsed in laughter at this next pun. Oh how witty could one robot get! Though it was almost like Mr.Strong here didn't like his jokes... Twas a shame, if this guy didn't have a sense of humor they wouldn't get along or very long...

"I'll tell you what! I shall read the immediate future of one of these passers by, and when you see their fates come alive, you to shall believe. Ehehe." A large toothy grin took 8D's face as he pointed out a young lad dressed in an academy track suit,"That young man shall soon come into a great fortune!"-And low and behold... Guess what happened to the kid who just happened to be passing bye? Well I'll tell you, A chance breeze fluttered past him carrying a 20 vc note on the wind. When the kid noticed he took off like a bolt after it. Running past the table and Liam on his way-"Ehehe.... Reading the distant future is a bit hazyer, but I do believe you get the idea. Ehehehe" 8D's voice was chearful and infectiously happy.

Though... That was miraculous.... Could this strange man really see the future?

~ Uh...Okay? ~The red-haired took his time to get the joke, he was not particularly entertained with puns, except the ones he himself made so he didn't get why he as laughing so much, but still smiled nonetheless.
~Let's see what you got ~ It was a real surprise to see the man getting that the boy would find some money in the middle of the street. He was not expecting someone who says he know the future to get that right because they are always just saying general things to get people's money, but this one seemed more genuine than he thought. ~You got me there, huh. ~ He thought for a while before digging into his pockets to see if he could find some money to give to the guy, seeing the future was not that bad after all...
...Pity he had spend all of what he had on his shopping earlier. As always luck was not smiling to him. ~Aw man... ~

"No cash? I see well that is a problem though isn't it!" 8D chuckled to himself slightly as he watched the man fumble for his wallet. Though this was only to be expected... Er, that is to say 8D knew he had no cash! Yeah yeah! Cus ya know the whole Seeing into the Future and being able to peer past the whatever and into the void or something. Yeah that sounds plausible!-Ehehe, you're terrible at this... you know that right?-

"Well my good man, how about this, sense you seem to be lacking funds why don't I let you have one for free! You've put up with my puns for a bit so it only seems fair. Though as the old saying goes, you will get what you pay for. So don't expect this divination to be very clear... Ehehe." Grins paused and took a deep breath, closing both hands and holding them to his chest. He sat still as a statue for a moment before springing back to life clutching a black and white orb, one in each hand.

"I foresee a great calamity! Will this bind you or will you be free? You hold the choice to fight or flee, from this great calamity... Two coiled beasts, this you will see. But listen and be warned by me, that this will forever change you, this Calamity... Ehehe" With a flick of his writs the spheres were gone once more, leaving Grins empty handed and smiling.

~...Well, yeah. ~ He got a little sad about that, but it was not the first time something like this happened to him. He already lost a lot to his lack of luck, and this was just another on of this happenings. Or so he thought.
~Really? That's so kind of you! Thank very much Mister Grins!~ Now he was pumped, finally something nice happening to him! What would that guy say to him about his future?
...And he didn't understand a thing. So another Grand calamity was bound to happen? That was not a good thing, not at all. ~ If what you say it's true, we are all in danger right now. You know that, right? ~ His smile faded slowly from his face as he tried to push away the memories of everything he lost because of what happened 5 years ago.

"I dunknow, I'm just a fraud how should I know anything." 8D waited for a moment, just to let that last one sink in before bursting into laughter and nearly collapsing on his table. OH... Oh that was good... No doubt this big burly bear was gunna rip his head off for wasting so much time, but then again that could lead to some head puns so that to would work out rather well... Though the talking clown head may scare him... And that wouldn't make HIM happy at all... Hmmmmmm Quite the conundrum.

"Sorry Sorryhehehe! Ah... You gatta admit the timing on that one was good! Ahhh...." His smile faded as his voice took on a serious tone, one that all together clashed with his jolly outfit, "Though even if there was another event like that one... We have the new government to protect us... They can send in their dogs to clean up any demons or people who threaten the status quo... Aren't we so lucky lucky lucky Ehehe... As for your fortune and whether or not I actually am a fraud. That's for you to decide."

Dramatic pause. Was he that naive to believe a guy in a clown outfit in the middle of the street with the simplest of tends and talking about the future? He had to facepalm himself. He practically set the trap for himself there, and he even believed the a-new-calamity-is-around-the-corner saying, which was rather common in this peaceful era. ~...i can't even... ~ He was not even mad with the clown, he was smart enough and could have capitalized into luck playing in his favor, he was just thinking that he should have been more cautious into believing other people.
At least it was good enough to let out the bad memories. ~ I can give you that, at least...~ he said before being confronted with the serious face of the clown. He gave very mixed signals, but for the time being he was going to bet on that strange luck of his. ~ Good thing the government at least protect us, I hope they can keep everything under control, y'know... About that, we'll see. If you're right, I'll search for you again, mister Grins. ~

Not that it truly matters in the end... After all when all is said and done the outcome is always the same." 8D chuckled slightly and flashed a wide toothy grin to the large man. Whatever this bot was talking about he sure seemed to be full of-What am I talking about indeed Mr.Liam? What will happen come night fall dear sir? What will happen when you are given the choice to give yourself to the one that crawls deep or to turn your back on the ones who have defended you against the night?... It will be very interesting to see. Or perhaps I don't rightfully care.... Ehehe-himself.

~ ...Hm, You sure say a lot of foreshadowing for a lucky clown, huh? ~ He crossed his arms, looking doubtfully at 8D, which seemed to travel between lie and truth or happy and serious pretty fast and that was confusing him a lot. He didn't quite get the feel of what he was saying, but he knew that they would meet sometime soon for some reason.... Eh, what a strange feeling to have for a street performer that wants to get some coin, right?
~ Heh, I don't think so. Not right know at least.~ He divided his shopping bags again on his hands, grabbing his long forgotten bitten apple and getting another bite. It was still good, at least. ~ I'll see you around, Mr. Grins ~ He smiled before placing another apple on the other's table for his services and turning away, going into the mass of people and disappearing from the clown's eyes, finally heading home.

"So long good sir, I hope our next meeting will be as..." 8D grinned as he picked up the apple and inspected it for a brief moment before spinning it on his finger like a basketball and bringing one sharp nail to it, pealing it in one fluid motion "APPEALING as this one was! Ehehe"

He waited for Liam to turn the corner before tossing his makeshift stand into the dumpster and walking deeper into the dead end alley and out of sight.
