| EveningThe Research and Development has been a nice one-day trip. There has been some interesting people and some... perhaps she would rather not want to meet again. But, it was a pretty swell day in any case. It was worth skipping school. Earlier, she felt a little bit rebellious. But, none of that feeling was here. She felt a little bit mellower from the experiences, even though some of them was anything, but normal. Maria finally sat down at a bench on her own, calmly and listlessly watching her surroundings. The fun was all over, huh? She was already thinking several excuses for skipping school. But honestly she was starting to feel depressed at the prospect of being yelled at. That's never fun. "Ooh... what am I going to do now?" | |

| The day had been a whirlwind as usual. While the morning and earlier afternoon hours had been a matter of hiding out for a bit from the major crowds, starting at 2:00 he had become his parents’ prisoner once more. He had a performance to do and while he was fine with that, what he was not fine with was having to spend an hour with his mother and father trying to make him look perfect for the stage. Honestly, that is what the hired help was for, but his mother couldn’t help herself. She just had to do things herself while his father repeated things regarding the performance so many time, he honestly thought he would go mad. Maybe he would’ve politely brushed them away, but that was kind of hard to do when three people were working on you and an eye liner pen was dangerously close to the eye. The typical chaos before the show.
When he was finally free of that chair it was a wonder the young man didn’t run on stage to escape what had occurred. Despite the unnecessary stress, he had kept his cool as usual and did his duty flawlessly as usual. The crowds were pleased and after doing the dread greet and meet of fans, his parents were please and distracted enough to somewhat loosen their iron grip on him, leaving an opening for escape as Lisa covered for him.
Free of the madness of the last 3 hours, Haru wandered as far as possible from crowded areas, seeking refuge in a silent area. That silent area had come in the form of a park that rested in front of a building simply known as the R&D building. While he probably could’ve gone inside to see what the building was all about, the young man opted for the fresh air as he drifted past the statutes of scientists and headed to one of the many open benches in the area.
With a light sigh, he allowed himself to collapse on the bench his body easily draping over the seat and back rest as he let his arms dangle behind him from now as he looked upward at the sky that was beginning to change colors with the setting sun. For now, he just wanted to relax and get lost in that sky without any disturbances. He needed his space to air out his brain for a while. As he sat there, he did notice another come into the area and for a moment tensed as he thought for two seconds it was fan coming to torment him; however, when the girl decided to take a seat at another bench and say something that sounded like a complaint out loud, the young man would relax again as his eyes returned to the sky.
He’d let people do as they wanted. They weren’t a concern to him as long they left him alone… |

| Maria could actually feel the despair and dread starting to set in. She really didn't feel like she would be in the mood to being yelled at at all. Who would, right? She held her face between her hands trying to consider her options. Apologies would be ineffectual as always, especially not after this. They would be worried sick alright. Perhaps she would be stuck doing more tiresome work in return for the missed day and to think she would still have to do schoolwork on top of it... Now she was really considering if skipping out on this day was really worth it.
"Ugh. Mom and Dad are going to tear me to shreds. They'll just scream my head off and try to guilt-trip me about my own obligations to the family..." she groaned to herself out loud.
She sighed and finally noticed someone was sitting near her. A boy who was older than her by a few years, it seems. Maria started blushing at this. Not because he seemed rather... presentable. But rather, because he was there while she was in the midst of despairing.
"Were you actually here this whole time," she asked him with the look on her face that seemed as if she was going to die from embarrassment.
OOC: We may have to postpone posting in here for now... I think we're supposed to do the Morning first. Sorry. Old habits die hard for me. | |
