| Well, that's that, eh? He sure had some persistent company. But he didn't particularly mind right now. Until he'd get himself roped into dragging someone's butt out of trouble. Alas, he couldn't tell others what to do. He would hum, choosing to respond to the last commentary on the way. ''Not a dolphin, no. But I can swim.'' His Shadow used to be a type of a beast, but that didn't exactly matter. Besides, he probably wouldn't be sporting claws and fangs, had he been bound to a dolphin. Would have to be quite the feral dolphin.
Regardless, he would keep heading in the direction of the nearest beach and shore, keeping an eye on the commotion in the sky once in a while, in case something swooped down again. And if nothing did, they would eventually make it as close to the water shenanigans as it was currently possible. Hmm, so what was this about...? ''I hope you're ready for whatever may happen.''

| "a beast huh? How did a guy like him get captured and placed in your body? Ever asked him that?" Sada would say with a semi curious tone, he wondered how the shadow managed to get captured if the shadow was so intelligent to begin with. " Don't worry, I already know the deal. At the very most, I shouldn't bite off more than I can chew if that was the case. That's a big if, won't know what you're ready for until you face it head on. " Sada was obviously ready as he followed along. | |

| It had been difficult to work his way through the screaming crowds, but Julian managed to slide by, trying his hardest to keep his eyes off of the crowds. He wanted to jump in, help those people, get them indoors or away from those things, but he knew it would be pointless. People were panicking too much to listen to one young adult. And though for the first time in ages he felt two familiar, oddly comforting presences in his head, he knew summoning either one of them would do no good; that would just make people panic more, because it wasn't as if people could tell the difference between a persona and a monster. So he pushed on, heading towards the shore, anxious to see if there was some way to stop the monster influx.
As he was approaching, he very nearly ran into two men, able to slow down enough to where he stopped about twenty feet behind them, breathing heavily from his dash over. He was tempted to yell at them, tell them to get out of there, but he managed to hear a snippet of their conversation that put that thought on hold. "Be ready"? ...Now that he looked at them, they were very calm about this whole situation. Here he was, running over, and here are these two, casually strolling up to the water. It seemed strange to him, maybe even off-putting, but he figured they must have been curious about where those things came from. Whether or not they had the same..."background" as him was unknown, so he opted to play it safe.
Jogging up behind the pair, he called out, "Hey!", hoping to grab their attention. If they stopped and looked at him, he'd come to a stop behind them and, in a pensive voice, question, "Do you two know anything about what's going on?"
If they continued to walk without recognizing him, he' continue to jog up to them, calling out "Hey!" again in hopes of grabbing their attention.

| As they hit the beach, the glow on the ocean seemed to dim the closer they got there, but the water seemed as though it circled something, and if they looked closely, they could see ahead, images of strange things in the middle of the pool. Images of worlds that appeared strangely below the surface shone through. Did that make all this water the gateway to that world? Many of them experienced this type of gateway before, but here it seemed almost overwhelming to the point where they all got a sudden drowsy or dizzy spell the closer they got to it. It was as though it became night time and everyone was suddenly a little sleepy. They could tell that jumping in meant being sucked towards whatever that epicenter was meant to be. They had done it before, but did they have the nerve to do it, and risk whatever was on the other side? An ominous chill swept the shores as the waves howled in the air near them. | |

| Sharaku would shrug lightly. ''No one is undefeatable. I'm sure there are plenty ways to do that, and I never quite cared.'' A Shadow could be strong, but that doesn't mean it won't get caught in trouble. As for the other thing....''The second answer is an easy one. I don't need to ask. It isn't like I slept through it all. I was quite conscious during what went on.'' It wasn't fun. But hey. ''You can't know for sure, but you can gauge your own power to an extent. It's usually not that hard to tell that something may be beyond your capabilities.'' Although, in some cases you don't have much of a choice anyway, and have to face the disturbance, hoping you will somehow pull through. These happenings...weren't exactly giving you much freedom. Do nothing, and all you will accomplish is...well, waiting for your own death. It's as simple as that.
He was going to say something else, but got disturbed by another voice interjecting. Ah? He would turn around, coming to face another guy that seemed to have been running over here, based on his appearance. ''Only the obvious, really. Some creatures are flying around, being dangerous.'' There was hardly enough to assume right now. ''It would seem they are trying to take over the islands? That annoying one died too quickly to say much, though....'', he would add, the second sentence moreso to himself. Anyway. Regardless of how it went from then on, they would soon be faced by the oddness inside the water. Ah, wonderful. Portals again. This...was odd though. He didn't like this feeling. This was certainly something else...
He would frown slightly. ''This is no good. Rifts hardly mean a positive thing.'' Now what? This wasn't exactly what he expected to come across. The question was...is it even a good idea to go in? It felt unlike those from 2 years ago, and who knows what is on the other side. On top of that, he hardly knew the two he was with right now, and what they could really do. Hm. Either way, he would have to ask, first of all. ''What do you think about it?'' Hopefully, he wouldn't just get a 'let's jump in' as an answer. For now, he would watch it from a safe enough distance, not wanting to faint or something.

| Sada was going to continue his conversation with Sharaku until he was interrupted by someone who looked to be a native of some sort. Sada rolled his eyes immediately, this guy had no idea what he was doing. " Were being attacked, these thins want us to surrender the islands to them. They seemed to be coming from the sea of some sort, so that's why were here. But this information is useless to you if you can't fight in order to protect yourself. " Sada would then shrug. "In this case,m you need power to survive and crush the invaders , it's better to check the source and see if we can do some damage. " Sada would then make eye contact with Julian. "Who are you? Or better yet, are you a person worth knowing or an innocent bystander that's even more left in the dark than we are?"
Suddenly, Sada would notice the portal and the strange feeling that it gave him as he went closer. He was cautious, but excited nevertheless. "And there is the golden ticket to the other side. " Sada would say sarcastically as he looked towards Sharaku."You experienced things like this before? A rift ehh? So there's something over there afterall, where the monsters are coming from right?" When Asked what he thought about it, Sada would shrug. "Its a hole in space, what am I supposed to think about it? Even getting near it is equivalent to motion sickness and we don't know if its a one way trip if it does take you somewhere. Or if it rips you apart overall and its a trap, but we have ways to test that. We can always toss this guy in there.
"Sada then turned to Julian one last time. "Oi, wanna be a hero? Jump in that hole. We want to see what it does." It was delivered in a more demanding tone, but who would be a better test dummy than some nobody?

| The dark-haired male, the one with the tattoos, was at least blunt about it. The other one, the prick, caught his eye, and as he jabbered on, Julian just gave him a blank stare, waiting until he stopped flapping his lips before speaking. "Are you done?" he asked. HE was tempted to add on some kind of sarcasm or dig to the rest of that sentence, but there were more important things to consider. Like the fact that there was something in the water Julian had been both dreading and hoping for for the past two years.
It took him a second to gather his bearings, the pull from the swirling water and the sudden drowsiness threatening to severely incapacitate him. But after a moment, he managed to bring himself back, and looked to the tattooed man. He opened his mouth to reply, only to close it and purse his lips a moment later. Before the guy finished the word "hero", Julian cut him off. "If you're just going to be a prick and not take this seriously, by all means, feel free to go fuck off somewhere else and get your kicks taking on a platoon of the demons slashing away at the innocent people outside." Normally his patience was much longer, but he was already on edge from the fact that his home was being over run by demons, and innocent people he couldn't help were being hurt. Add in the fact that this guy was supposedly on board with trying to save his friends and family, and it took little for Julian to snap.
Taking a breath to compose himself, he focused on the other man, the one not currently pissing him off. "You're right. And since you're seen this before, I'm guessing you were a part of what happened a couple of years ago." He thought for a moment. "I doubt we're going to find any ideas about this portal here." His eyes lit up barely a moment later, and he dug through his pocket before pulling out his cell phone. "But I might be able to reach the other side with this." As he began dialing a number, he explained (albeit focusing on the more polite male), "Before the rifts closed two years ago, I was able to set up a way to talk to people in another world from here. When the rifts were gone, so was the connection. But if this leads to the same place, I should be able to connect." With that, Julian hit SEND and pressed the phone to his ear, waiting anxiously to see if, after all this time, he would actually be able to reach Emmilene again...

| Strangely enough, Julian did not get a signal on his end, and only heard static. It appeared his line either had some interference, or perhaps the signal was cut. How could that be...? | |

| Seriously now? Sharaku was honestly starting to get irritated quickly. He really wasn't in the mood for this. What was it with people acting out lately? This current situation was even more ridiculous than anything else. There are demons around, the world is going to hell, and the first thing some people do..? Argue and all that crap. Aren't the demons the enemy? It kind of seemed like the two guys were making enemies of each other instead. Sometimes he truly wondered what kind of people he always ended up around. He was really starting to have enough of all this bouncing back and forth, and these two were not helping his somewhat irritable mood at all. He would scowl at the duo slightly. ''You two better be joking. There are supernatural enemies around, and you go rounding off on each other? That's how we'll lose. You two either shut it soon, or I'm out of here. I don't need to be watching you argue when there are bigger problems to solve.'' And he was still being nice about it. They definitely did not want him to snap. He was not happy to be dealing with these matters in general, and petty arguments were something he wanted even less right now.
He would answer to Julian though. ''I have, yes. This one seems quite different from those back then, though. Something's not right here.'' Even if it led to the same place, something was different about it. He would shrug slightly. ''Feel free, but I don't think it proves much. This portal is different. There could easily be some interference happening, even if it is the same place on the other side. Anything abnormal is tricky.'' It was worth a try, though. Just not completely foolproof. In case the result was negative, it didn't have to mean that the other side was a completely different dimension. You can never be sure.

| Well this guy got so defensive so quickly that it was almost comical. He was the one that decided to approach them in the first place, and has hardly yet to prove his worth. Now he was going to tell Sada to fuck off? No, Sada wasn't going to stoop to his level, he didn't need to. The fact that this guy was so quick to lose control and flip meant that Sada can probably mess with him whenever he wanted. Confirming yourself to be a toy to play with was a lot more entertaining to Sada than a continuing argument. Then he started playing with his phone, saying he established a connection to the other side with it. This made Sada fold his arms as he watched. "oh?" However, after a while, it seemed like this guy would be useful, but it failed in the end. "Looks like his obama phone isn't working anymore ." Sada would say as he gave a sly smile to the newcomer, but it was quickly exchanged with a neutral one as soon as Sharaku gave both of them somewhat of a scowling . "Doesn't bother me too much if you just up and left, i cant stop you or control your actions. Definitely wont beg you to stick around either, but you are right about one thing, there are problems bigger than this. " Sada would then look back at the portal. " Honestly, if the connection was to work before, its better to reestablish the connection again if the alternative place is different from where you set it up originally. To do that, someone has to be on the other side for it to work, not sure if it was as easy as putting in someones number and calling, and there's complications as to whats on the other side.Sada then shrugged and turned back to the new guy. "Y o, newcomer. Was it easy for you to travel back and forth from these alternate holes? If it is, cant we just walk back out to check out the place? I guess one of us can stay outside to see if the portal closes, or two. The one on the other side can try to do what you did before and call you to see if the connection can be set up again. What do you think? | |

| The sudden static made Julian flinch and pull the device from his ear. Ow...damn, that was new. Before, all he heard was silence, like a broken phone line. This...well, it was different, that was for sure. It proved the connection was there again. Broken beyond all words, but at least it was there. "I can get through. Not well, but the connection is there again." he intoned, pocketing the phone. "You're right, this doesn't prove anything definitive, but at least it tells us that at least one of the worlds that came up two years ago is back." He frowned in thought, setting his hand on his chin. "Of course, the inability to actually talk with someone is worrying. It could mean a number of things, and none of the things I'm thinking of are good."
Set up the connection again...? If only it was that simple. Turning to the man who Julian could tolerate now that he was actually trying to be useful instead of having fun, the young adult pulled out his phone again and removed an SD card from one of the side slots. "Unfortunately, that connection I talked about isn't that simple. See this?" He held up the SD card for both men to see. "When I went into that other world once, a woman there gave me this. On it is a program that allows a phone to dial her number and hers only. In other words, she's the only person I or anyone else with this program could get in touch with." He tucked the card back in his phone and put it away, listening intently to the man's idea.
"If the connection worked that way, sure. But as he's mentioned," Julian motioned towards the tattooed man, "These portals are different. What happens after one or any of us cross through is anybody's guess."
Julian let out a sigh and crossed his arms. "If we knew that this portal led to the woman who gave me the program, I'd suggest someone go in, use the program to find her--assuming the connection on that side is clearer than it is here--then have her call one of us on the outside to report back. But as it stands, there's no other way I can think of to check what's on the other side without jumping in ourselves."

| Well, as long as he didn't have to deal with useless bickering, he couldn't care less. Although, it was a wonder why would someone be so readily okay with people leaving them alone in such a situation. The less of you, the more chance you'll get wiped out in case one of those creatures makes you their target. Or perhaps a group of them instead of only one, to make it harder. Regardless, he wouldn't bother with that side of the conversation for now. There was no point.
He would look towards the portal in thought. He was skeptical about this all for several reasons. It couldn't be as simple as having some of the worlds back. Technically, they were always there. It was just about the means of travel. That, and they were connected in their own way, so he doubted only one of them would suddenly pop up. That's like one of the islands of Azores going on its own journey or something, leaving the others in the dust. Unlikely. ''If one were to be back, then I think all the others would too. They were something like an alternate version of Azores afterall. Even retained the same island names as here. It's unlikely one would show up alone. Perhaps it's simply that something forced a connection between the two realities again. I'm pretty sure time flowed on both sides during the two years. The cause for the broken connection could be anything. Even the communication system being outdated or out of sync.'' It was hard to come to a conclusion based only on what they could see right now.
He would frown a bit as the guy showed an SD card and whatnot. That only complicated things. ''Which means, that the only way to confirm anything would be to find her, for she gave you that program.'' And they didn't even know if that was possible, assuming this portal would lead anywhere close to that place. Two years can change a lot of stuff. ''It used to be a free travel in the past, but right now, it doesn't look like it's very safe. It may very well be that going back out would turn to be an issue.'' Which was not good. Getting stuck in and searching ages for an exit could be a problem. Since they had monsters rampaging on their own side, and couldn't afford to completely disregard that.
He would listen to Julian's final suggestion, before shaking his head slightly. There was a little...problem with that one. ''As far as I am aware...we had no real call signal on the other side. Thus, I don't think once one goes in, they'd be able to contact someone who stays here. And if the program you mentioned works just as you said, it would need to first be installed in both parties' phone to establish any contact between there and here. These are alternate realities of a sort. Normal means are unlikely to work at all. On top of that, they may not trust just anyone walking in there, and asking for help. We are foreigners to them.'' The only somewhat plausible way would be for Julian to be the one to stay out, since he already had that card, even if it might be old already, and hope that someone could get their own there and try winning the people there over. It might be pointless in any other way. ''In any case, I probably wouldn't be able to tell whether it is the old world or not. I've never been on the other side of Penecia in particular. I had my reasons to stay out of that one, based on what people told me about that place and their rules. The entire conflict between types of Persona Users is beyond me. They would probably eye me oddly, for I am not even one of them at all.'' The places used to have their own quirks before, at the very least. ''Is either of you willing to risk this and go in anyway? We are having issues on our side too, so we can't really abandon this either, just because shiny portals popped up. If we get stuck in there, then it's too late to reconsider, I think.'' Speculations aside, would any of them actually go?

| Sada was silent at first, hearing everything that he needed to hear from both sides before he started to speak again. “Give me the program then, I’ll go across and find....whoever this person is. “ Sada would say to julian before cracking his hand in an opening and closing motion. It’s a lot better to have you stay then Sharaku, you’re stronger than me, and I’m sure the people or things that you care about are more over here than in that portal. You and this guy over here can fight them off while I play detective in a world that leads to god knows where. “ Sada would then shrug. “Look, if I find this girl, I’ll need your name so that she trusts me or something. So what is it, give me what I need, and tell me what I have to say to her.
Sada would look out at the sky, this might be the last time he would see azores. He cared, and then he didn’t. Was it really a home for him? All of those things are debatable, but action needs to be taken right now. “Alternate users? Persona users? Types? I don’t understand any of that, but none of that matters right now. All I know is that this person you’re looking for better be strong if you’re asking them for help. Now we don’t have a lot of time to waste, and I’m sure you both can find something better to do than stand in front of a rift.

| And he was back to being an asshole again. Great. But at least he was trying to be productive, so Julian reigned in the rush of anger that threatened to burst out and instead spoke calmly. "Let me see your phone." The program would be of no use to him without one, after all.
If the man refused to hand over a phone of any kind, Julian would raise an eyebrow. "How do you expect to use it without one, then?" he'd ask calmly, resisting the urge to cross his arms and add a heaping dose of sarcasm.
If the man gave him a phone, Julian would quickly take out the SD card, download its contents onto the phone, then pocket the card and return the phone. "There. You're looking for a girl about twenty years old named Emmilene. About six feet tall, long dark hair, has a mature face and attitude." He rattled off her description easily. No wonder, either; he'd forced himself to remember it for the past two years. "Here's hoping you can actually call her and track her down easily once you're over there. If she asks, tell her Julian put you in contact with her." He was tempted to spit out "Can you remember all of that?", but figured in the interest of time and what little good relations there were, it was probably better left unsaid.

| This time around, Sharaku would opt to stay silent, looking out towards the sea. His interest in interfering was close to null at the moment. He could sense the tense atmosphere, and he was honestly not very keen on getting involved in that. Although, he did wonder why was the guy actually choosing to trust Sada with that when it was obvious he didn't like him much. Personally, he probably wouldn't have in general. He already knew Sada looked out mostly for his own desires, so...what would this really mean to him? The other guy was a stranger asking to find someone afterall. Sada had no obligations to follow through in the end, and with his general attitude towards matters, Sharaku would find that a likely occurence. However, it would be Julian's problem, was that to happen.
He would sigh slightly. ''I suppose that's settled then? Have fun working on that. I'm probably going to work this out on my own terms.'' He wasn't too interested in teaming up with these two. Not with the obvious interaction problems swirling around. That, and he certainly had better options right now than a guy who's basically a stranger, and a guy that has an ego the size of a planet. He could hardly trust Sada to be loyal long term right now, and he didn't have the time to waste on further evaluating. On top of that, the guy might just end up stuck inside anyway. His best bet was to get in contact with someone he actually knew decently and who was involved two years ago, then go from there. He had nothing against Julian for now, but he'd be more comfortable having at least someone he already knew around. For several reasons. ''Unless I'm really needed for something else at the moment, I think I'm going elsewhere now. I have other things to do before it starts getting too bad.'' He sure didn't favor the idea of standing around and waiting for God knows what. So, unless he was stopped, he would soon wander away from the shore...
