Guidance (Mae) - Page 4 Empty

"Looks like we have a course of action, then. Great!" Of course, it wasn't going to be an easy feat for either of them to accomplish what they had set out to do, but that didn't change anything, really. They knew this would be a difficult task from the word go.

"Well, meeting EVERYONE would be a bit much, I think. I could fill the role as a messenger of sorts, making sure no-one is working on something that another group is already investigating. We need to be efficient, and co-ordinated in how we deal with this. The reason why I think things went the way they did two years ago was... a lack of co-ordination... The will was most certainly there, but... well... Everyone was kind of doing their own thing, which made our groups scattered, and much less focused on finishing a single goal... We need to be strong together... That's just my view on things." She knew very well that some people just didn't work well in groups, and while that was fine, outright resisting to work as a collective force on multiple tasks just because didn't sit right with her. They all carried the same duty to protect the islands from all supernatural threats, and one shouldn't need to do so alone.

"The group you were with when the mess two years ago started... Didn't you mention two other individuals aside from... him..." Of course, she was referring to the Original Survivors team... Not that she knew of all the members or anything, but having them co-ordinate with Mae and the rest of the Rangers might not be a bad idea... The two groups goals were similiar... why not work together? "Oh... That's a shame..." Well, then she'd have to come into contact with them in another, less direct way...

"Alright then... I'll leave that to you." She was confident he would succeed with that. Sharaku was a strong man, and she had to trust him with this. "Well... with that settled, I think it's about time we put these plans into action..." She would give the other two a nod, as if to say that the meeting was dismissed and they could leave. Hiro could of course stay if he wanted to, but regardless of what happened, after Sharaku left, she'd give Hiro and Aria an excusing look. "Sorry... I have to go... I need some... time for myself." She was never one to kick people out, unless they truly deserved it, which Hiro and Aria didn't. Right now, Mae needed some time to think, and with the barrier up, she could get that done while there were no demons running around on the streets, all thanks to Isla. She had to find Maria and check up on the kids back at the Orphanage... just to make sure they were okay.

Hiro would quietly study the other with a gaze that was neither hostile nor friendly when he made his comment. If tone could be an indicator, it seemed that Sharku's skepticism when it came to demons wasn’t going to be swayed. And why should it be? After all, this man had gone through such an event before and after the first introduction of the demons, he could understand while the idea would leave a bad taste in one’s mouth. Even so, he hadn’t been lying about what he stated earlier. While he could indeed wield a sword, his power rested in which demons were at his side. Aria was nice, but in the long run there was only so much she could do alone. He honestly had no choice in the matter. Demons were his source of power no matter how strange or contradicting it sounded, so he would need to face them one way or another.

Regardless of this thought, the man would simply close his eyes and nod at the words. There was no need to try and explain things at this point. They each had their own way of fighting, so one could either accept that or deny it. Honestly, it was up to the individual. Speaking of choices….

Hiro’s eyes would reopen as he listened to the light chatter when it came to gathering others. While he agreed with Mae about that point, he had to wonder about Sharaku. Gauging from what was said and facial expression, it didn’t seem the other liked the idea of teams, but why the demon summoner could not understand. Wasn’t it beneficial to have others working with you? So why seemingly go against it?

It was a perplexing point, but he supposed that team work didn’t work for everyone and while he did respect that, he had to wonder if much more was at play than just wanting to be a lone wolf. Curiosities aside, he would nod lightly at Mae’s words.

“Perhaps a messenger would be good. At least we would have more sources of information that way,” he would say before falling silent again. The need for information was a great one since whatever was happening was happening at rather accelerated rate; however, with so much happening at one time, he had to wonder if the job could be pulled off. Just how scattered was everyone now? It was a headache to consider given the current circumstances. While he wanted to put his faith in humans, he had to wonder…would they actually pull together this round and make a stand before it became too late? Another question he would rather not ponder right now. The situation was already draining as it was. No need to add to the mess.

In any case, as conversations came to a close, a decision of a sort would be made. Mae would handle Isla and himself Zachary. As for Sharaku, his goal was a bit more vague and while Hiro would've loved to pick at that vagueness, it would seem this meeting was drawing to a close. This wasn’t exactly what he had hoped for since everyone was pretty much at the same square as before this even started.

Sure some information had been given and a lose plan put into play; however, he wasn’t even sure if they had silently agreed to keep in touch to exchange more information gathered or what here. To him it seemed everyone was branching off to target their own interests...something he had hoped this meeting would keep from happening.

Sighing lightly, he would shake his head before getting to his feet. There was honestly no point in trying to fix whatever this was at this point. Between the vagueness of decisions and personal tensions, if pushed further this would probably only blow up…and quite frankly he did not want that to happen. With things more or less settled if one could call it that, Hiro would move the futon given to him earlier to a corner of the apartment for later use.

He would bid Sharaku farewell when he decided to leave and shortly after that he would do the same for Mae when she decided she need to leave to. When he was alone, he would look over at Aria who sat on the window watching everything with a quiet frown. Apparently, she wasn’t to pleased with the development either. Alas what was one going to do? One couldn’t exactly make things work according to plan no matter how hard one tried.

“Come on,”
he would tell her, getting a nod from the pixie as she took to the air again.

Together, they would leave behind the rather uncomfortable feeling room as they moved back out into the streets to perform their task…

Meh. She sure had high ideals. Last time, coordination was almost null anyway. Kind of hard to do when you have people joining different Angels with different goals. It was asking for clashes, more than anything else. Besides, in regards to the current issue, Sharaku didn't even believe that delegating tasks was truly the best way. Sometimes, it is better if more than one group passes an opinion on an investigation, to avoid unnecessary overlooking and wrongdoings. Or maybe one party alone cannot properly deal with a situation. Looking for clean cut coordination was just a headache. He found it more limiting than anything else. He wasn't going to waste time checking back with others as to whether someone was already looking into a matter when he had to pick on spot or such. This would lead to waiting on decisions, and spendng too much time trying to be efficient could also make you miss out on opportunities. And many other things. He just didn't do well with all that crap. For whatever reason, he seemed to be more against it than he has been in the past, but his reasons were his own. He'd more likely get frowns his way before he'd get a say anyway.

He would snort, giving them a defiant look. ''Well, I work better on my own terms, and that's that. I don't want to be held back by always having to check in with people to find out who is doing what. Time doesn't stop, and it won't wait for us to make decisions based on everyone else. I'd love to see how can everyone be properly coordinated during chaos, when you just have to act right away. Because I don't think it will happen.'' Probably just a futile wish. Some people wouldn't even want to cooperate in the first place, and mess with things. People like Sada who wanted power for himself and whatnot. Personally, he'd watch what others are doing, but he wouldn't bend to some invisible rules of what he should do. This wasn't some peaceful work environment where you can make plans carefully. Instead, it would happily blow in your face when you take too long to put your puzzle pieces together.

''Three.'', he would correct on the team matter, before shrugging. ''I wasn't in touch with anyone for the last two years. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen a hair of them for ages since the moment things got resolved.'' Until recently, for two of them. And still, he just wasn't too keen on this. Alphose was the only one he could at least expect to be available, but that was that. Shun was a question, but the two of them weren't the best team.

''Plans you say....hm...'' He'd wonder how long would those plans stand as the situation kept progressing. He didn't think they could start employing them today anyway. A day only has 24 hours. Alas, he wasn't about to argue with that, and it would seem that he was getting thrown out anyway all of a sudden. He doubted he could stay here since it wasn't mentioned. Not that he planned to, but he didn't expect an abrupt shut off either. Time to go wander the streets. Perhaps he'd find somewhere to sleep out there....

''Well, fine. I'm out of here then.''
