| The next time Oki could see properly, they would be floating in between the stars, walking on a white plane, while large orbs floated around them. They were in a strange area, and Oki could tell that they were far away from where they were before. The elder walked in front of them, though over time, their appearance began to flicker, and soon it took on a new shape. They still appeared to be elderly, but they looked different than before. They stopped after a minute of silent walking and turned to Oki."This is a realm that few are able to reach. It only can be reached by myself, and a small group of others. Here is the world that covers the Center of all universes and realities. I and the group that come here simply refer to it as a Core. I had an eye on you in Azores before. You used to be stable like your friend, and calculative. Yet you were willing to push forward and make the hardest of choices. I admire people like you who do not hesitate, and it is for this reason I have come to extend an offer. Our group is preparing for something larger than your world, and every world in crisis or safe. Though I am vague, I will answer your questions." He stood there to face them. He was going to give them a choice once they learned more, but they would not give them the chance light-heartedly; they needed to know the truth or why other? | |

| The world became a blank canvas as Oki felt itself be pulled from the island it was once on. It was pulled away from safety into the arms of the unknown. At first the unknown was blinding, but then slowly it would find itself in a place of strangeness as its sight came back again. It stood on a strange material that was white in color. It didn’t seem like a solid material with its strange design and yet the ground was able to hold itself easily upon it as it moved to follow the man that had brought it here. Following behind the old man, Oki would look around the place with curious green eyes. Taking note of the orbs, it wondered for a moment what it was they did exactly. Did this strange world of orbs hold some significance to the world around it? Or was it just one of those odd pockets of space it once read about in a book long ago? Quite curious about the world it was in, the creature would shift its eyes back to the man with the intent of asking a question; however, the question would dry up as it saw the old man's form flicker and slowly change. By the time the man had stopped he was already different than what Oki had seen before and as a result of the change, the creature kept a respectful and safe distance away from the older gentleman as he turned to face it. Without fear, the creature would meet the gaze of the other as he began to speak. As it listened, it would cross its arms in thought. “Hrmmm...So, you were watching the Event, huh? Well, that brings many questions, so we’ll start with the first few. First off, what is your name?” it would ask as it gave the other a polite grin before it was folding its hands before itself as it tilted its head to the left, the grin never leaving. “Second, did you have anything to do with the Event? Did you set it up to find candidates to make offers to? If so does that “elaborate game” have something to do with what you and your group are preparing for? Anything to do with this Core we are in?” the creature would begin in a tone that was hard to tell if it was being polite or not. With its Cheshire like grin and strange way of speaking in place, it had begun its series of questions, but pause to let the other answer the first round if he wanted. He mentioned vagueness from the beginning, so straight answers the creatures did not seek and yet it still sought some form of answer. Getting nothing would not turn out pleasant for either party. In any case, from what it heard in response to what it had asked, would determine where to go with its next questions. - Mood Box:
Currently, it is very curious. Even if the creature is more unstable than before (as suggested by its behavior), it seems it intelligence and ability to act remains in tact despite its issues it just takes a careful eye to see the truth behind the madness.

| The elderly man nodded confirming their first question. "Of course. It was an event that threatened your world and several others, so my attention was drawn to it. However, luckily I was not needed. I had nothing to do with those Angels, in fact, they are essentially minor gods that you all seemed to dismantle easily. That said, our group is charged with protecting what we call the Core. For you see..." (You will get PMed the dialogue) He would await their reaction. | |

| "Hmm..." the being would lift one hand stroke its chin as it took in his words. "Minor gods, huh? For minor gods, they sure knew how to stress us out and yet they were not so bad. At least the one we met wasn't," Oki said as it thought about the one it called goddess. She was so kind...too bad she wasn't around long enough to get to know even better. What would have happened if they had become closer allies?...And on that note what of Helen?
"Neh? Are the worlds blocked off from ours? The ones that the Angels protected?" Oki asked quite curious if it could enter the other side of its home and check up on the woman it once worked with.

| The looked at them. "Everyone who makes up the group is someone from another realm, picked by me specifically. In return of sacrificing their old life, they get the ability to fight and protect other realms. The worlds that the Angels were once in may not be guarded much longer, but soon that world will be in peril, and suffice it to say, I shall need more help. That is where you come in. Join us, and you will have the chance to take it all back and save the future of the realms that need it. If not, I shall return you to your world, and you can sort it out from there. I must be curt, and will not accept any kind of indecision. I had my eyes on you for a particular reason. What is your answer Oki Akamaura?" | |

| Oki would quietly listen to the other as the previous assumptions about the other were pretty much were confirmed. So this guy was the leader of this group of handpicked people that protected the worlds from destruction? The being would eye the man at that one, searching always for lies. It had no reason to doubt him, but… The creature would lower its eyes to the ground as its eyes shifted to the right as it thought. Why should it care? The world had turned its back on it before and left it quite alone. Why should it matter if it all went up in flames or what not? Why not just let them all be wiped away? Jack… Sharaku… …Helen…These people... Were they really worth tossing away? Even if it had locked its heart away long ago to bury pain, could it really just toss them to the side and turn its back on them? Could it really pass up the opportunity to learn more? “Hmph,” the creature let the sound out softly as it reached a decision in its head…no its heart. Green eyes would shift back to the old man as it gave him a faint smile. “You know….we had really thought we couldn’t care anymore and yet…” the being would close its eyes and shake its head before refocusing again. It looked back at the man again with a smirk on its face. “I’ll take the offer and see where it leads me,” Oki said as for the first time in two years a bit of its old self showed up once more. Sure it had some issues to sort in its life and the path would be hard and probably painful; however, no matter how hard it tried it really couldn’t block out the part of itself that was curious for knowledge, but more than that….determined to protect those it cared for. - Mood :
Still uncertain of the man from a personal standpoint, but at least it is willing to walk the path he is offering to learn more and perhaps heal once more.

| They nodded, and soon they would hold out their hand, and a mark would appear before Oki's eyes before they senses it fill their entire being. They could tell whatever curse they suffered was repelled, but they could feel the same material that grew on them encompass their entire body, as though they were made of it. They could feel something strange within them begin to take shape. (Rest of details in PM). The elderly man nodded approvingly and began to speak to them, telling them a few details. Regardless of what they chose to do now, they were the thirteenth member, and they would remain that way; death being the only thing that cut them from their tie to this strength. | |

| As soon as Oki had agreed to take this unknown path, the man gave a nod summoning before them a strange golden sign. It was pretty and intriguing; however, before Oki could get too hypnotized by the golden sign it began to vanish and sink into itself.
As it did, Oki felt things within in it changed as the power filled it. The sickening madness of the shadow within squirmed in torment before with a quiet roar it calmed and became silent. With its silence, the strange curse that had come with its madness felt as if it was lifted or if it wasn't it at least had shifted into something more bearable, but what had actually happened the being did not know. All it knew is that when the power finally subsided, it felt better than it had in a long time. Sure the wounds of the past and its natural madness was still there, but at least now there seemed to be some form of clarity within the darkness it kept bottled up for so long.
Looking up at the old man it would nod at some unspoken settlement before it listened to all that the other had to say. It understood without a doubt that it had made a deal it could not back out of. Unlike the Event, this deal was sealed...until the Reaper rang its bell and took it from the world. A scary thought, but one that Oki settled with nonetheless. It had chosen this path and like before no matter how hard it was, it would walk the path it had chosen. | |
