Part Time Job: Nori owns a Fortune Telling Tent located in a small public park on San Malarus Island (she also has the proper paper work to run a business there). It's mostly used to offset her living and tuition expenses.

Appearance: A young woman of about 159 centimeters in height and with a slightly athletic build. She would be considered pretty, if not for the eye patch she wears over her left eye, some jagged scar edges peeking out from under it. As such, she looks... off putting, with one pale amber eye through half set eyelids. that seems to show a deep sadness. Aside from the eye patch, her face is surprisingly symmetrical, a thin tapered nose between her eyes and a tight, turned in set of lips bellow that. Short cropped black hair cut close to her head in the back. A thin, but short neck supports her head on her shoulders which are broader then most women's, due to her old martial training.
Her body's build is on the athletic side, more toned muscle then fat and as a consequence her bust size is smaller compared to most women her general size and age, though she doesn't really mind.

Personality: Nori is an interesting paradox of conflicting personality types. She is at her core, an honest, loving woman who desires friends and peers to respect her. But, she hides that under an icy, aggressive, confrontational front that keeps her isolated, aside from select people in her Studies class. She acts lethargic but also despises people who waste her time. The only time she seems to be her true self, is when she's tending to her fortune telling stall at festivals and holidays. She has a complex about her missing eye and the scars left on her face, personally considering herself ugly. She's also a habitual chain smoker and routinely runs through a pack of cigarettes a day.

Strengths:

—Strength Name: Ryūkyū Kobujutsu
—Description: Nori knows a sufficient amount of Ryūkyū Kobujutsu to be considered adept, or brown belt. Though she has since stopped taking lessons. She is trained in the Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Eku (boat oar) and her personal preference of the Tinbe-rochin, or short spear and light shield.

—Strength Name: Fortune Telling
—Description: Due to her background in both religious practice and her obsession with the Occult, Nori has learned and nearly mastered over twenty different forms of fortune telling and Divination. She keeps all her dedicated tools in her fortune telling booth. But she also carries on her person a Rider deck of Tarot cards, a set of seven different dice and a small stack of Shinto fortune strips.

—Description: Nori is a Font of almost unlimited information when it comes to anything related to occultism or religious cases, which branch out into Cryptology, cryptozology, urban legends, conspericy theories, religious cover ups, Mythology, Psychology and History.

—Description: Though she's a smoker and is slightly out of shape due to abandoning her martial arts practice. Nori is a very hard woman to tire or injure. Her particular brand of Karate being a very defensive and counter heavy style not withstanding.

—Strength Name: Omniglot
—Description: Nori has forced herself to learn several languages to make sense of the esoteric material she studies. She is fluent in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean, and is conversational in Latin, French, German and Russian.

Weaknesses:

—Weakness Name: Winded
—Description: Since she is now a heavy smoker, Nori is frequently out of breath if she's forced to exert herself. Not to say she tires easy, she just finds herself short of breath easily.

—Weakness Name: No Depth Perception
—Description: Having a lost an eye, Nori no longer has depth of field and routinely walks into things if she's not careful

—Weakness Name: Focused Knowledge base
—Description: Nori only really cares about her Occult, Religious and Esoteric studies, so unless it's been in the news lately she doesn't give a rats ass about it.

—Weakness Name: Melee only.
—Description: Nori doesn't know how to use a gun, nor does her style of Karate deal with ranged weapons in it's curriculum.

—Weakness Name: Skinflint
—Description: Nori is very paranoid about money and will haggle over everything, with anyone, except for her fortune prices. those are set in stone and no amount of talk with make her give anyone a discount.

Soul Bound Weapon: (This is the weapon you'll be able to summon to your hand while in combat. This weapon is special for your character specifically and allows you to fight Shadows without the need of summoning your Persona. This can be anything but a Gun (Or gun related weapon))

Weapon Name: Koritsu (lit. Isolation)
Weapon Description: Koritsu is a small spear that measures about a foot and a half in length, with a spear tip that invokes the appearance of a Japanese Kaiken dagger. Tied around the base of the spear tip are two stark white Gohei streamers. Nori also carries a small round shield into combat, but it's just a mundane item.

The Background

History: Nori was born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, to a family of clerics and priests who serviced one of the many satellite shrines to the main Atsuta Shrine. Since her early childhood till her seventeenth birthday Nori was taught the skills a miko would require. On top of her miko studies, Nori was also a practicing martial artist, having taken up learning Ryūkyū Kobujutsu from a schoolmate's black belt older sibling.

Her school life wasn't all that outstanding or amazing, she generally was able to keep steady mid to high grades along with the hardships of having an expecting family and a draining extracurricular hobby. Nori was apparently fully capable of coping with having this much on her plate without any stressful explosions or mental breakdowns. If anything, she was actually looking around school for a club to join on top of everything she already had, since she also had one or two free nights a week that she felt were going to waste.

This all changed when Nori was sixteen and, along with five of her friends, was scouted by a small time talent producer one Friday night at a local Karaoke bar. Since she was already hyped from singing all night and consuming an unhealthy amount of carbonated drinks, Nori and two friends agreed to become idols. After a week or two of negotiations, Nori and several of her friends signed contracts to become idol singers. They were promoted not too long afterwards, and they then began practicing, all the while being bombarded by love letters, confessions and people generally trying to get their hands on the girls.

Nori herself turned down several people, and eventually, when they debuted in a small concert at the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Nori was attacked by one of the many students she turned down, the young man having rushed the stage with a box cutter in hand. The security staff managed to wrestle him off her, but damage was done and Nori was shipped to a hospital, when she awoke later that day she was informed about the loss of her left eye and that there would be severe scarring around it. Slightly later on that same day she was then informed that she was being terminated from the idol group she had formed, but was given the severance deal written in her contract.

She tried to keep in contact with her friends when they reformed into a five person group. They kept in text contact through their cellphones, and occasional phone calls and letters. But eventually they stopped calling and texting, and she eventually lost contact with them.

With the loss of her eye, dream and most of her friends in one move, Nori's entire outlook changed. She neglected her shrine duties, dropped her martial training and started slipping in her academics. Eventually, she managed to graduate high-school, and elected to move to a different place for university, having managed to at least secure one, in a city called San Malarus. She had to leave, the memories, and pain haunted her too much to stay in Japan any longer.

That was five years ago. Nori is still a student at the University, taking courses in Religious studies, focusing her interest on occult and esoteric studies, in a weird attempt at justifying to herself why her life changed so dramatically in one singular event from six years prior.

Apps usually get buried in recent posts and we miss them. Don't hesitate to bump them after 24 hours if no one gets to them.

Since you're new and joining at a delicate time, your character will have the exception of joining not only Azores, but any side plots and the next plot aswell so you do not need to make a new one. However, when joining the next main plot, you'll still start off fresh with everyone else considering the rules will be abit different from Azores now.

You could also choose to make another character for the next plot and keep this one in the Azores Side Plot that will be a sequel to the one running now. It's honestly up to you. The app looks fine as it is, but just let me know your plans.

Since Azores is about to end (which is the current main plot), I know making a character and participating in it can be alittle upsetting. It's like picking up a video game and the only save data is at the final boss. You really don't get to enjoy the game. You can still join to RP with people in this plot until it ends, and bring the character over to the new plot to start over again.

However, since the plot is almost over, we are deciding on a mini plot to run between the old main plot and the new one coming. You can use your character for this plot and still use them for the next plot aswell, considering this mini plot is sort of like a stand alone one. It doesn't really effect the others.

Then comes the new plot. This has yet to be released and started. Normally, because of plot reasons, old characters can't transfer to this one. But seeing how you're new and you literally had no choice in the matter since the Azores plot is ending very soon, I don't mind you bringing this character over to it when it starts.

At the end of the day, it's up to you where you want to use her, though.

Now, since Azores 2 has officially started, I'll get to the grading buissness. Seeing as it's very much Azores based, I'd guess that's where she's gonna stay.

Alright, I don't see any issues with her strengths or weaknesses. The Fortune telling buissness is interesting. The Shield itself is not a part of the Soulbound, yes? So you can't parry soulbound strikes with it. And seeing as you have a strength covering the reason why she has one, it could still parry real attacks from physical weapons that does not stem from the soul. Just wanted to make that clear. Nice character with a unique twist. Hope you'll have fun with her.
