Debriefing [Lia] Empty
PostSubject: Debriefing [Lia]   Debriefing [Lia] EmptyTue Aug 25, 2015 2:48 am

Phew. Alright, after that dungeon run, both Shion and Lia definitely needed some rest... hopefully Lia agreed to come to San Malarus with her. Paradise was closed for now, but the brunette opened the door regardless, letting the performer enter first if she followed her. At this point, she would, right? There were a lot of things they needed to talk about, and a lot of information to pass on. Thankfully, her brother had done the same for her before, a while ago, so Rita could still do this herself.

"Alright now. Is there anything you want right now, Lia? The restaurant's closed, but there's still food we can get. A friend of mine runs the place, so I'm staying here for now. She'll fix something up for us, I'm sure." The brunette led Lia to a table, same one she always sat on when she came here, and sat down, letting a deep sigh out. Damn, she was tired right now. Was Lia the same way? Hopefully not.

"Alright, so, is there anything in specific you wanna know? I'll answer anything, so ask away." Shion leaned forward on the table, a bit of a bandage poking out from under her jacket's left sleeve. As she leaned on the arm, she seemed to wince a bit for a brief moment, but didn't react too seriously.

"I'm, not hungry. I don't think I plan to eat until dinner." She sat as comfortably as she could on the table. She had her hands locked with each other, and sighed, blowing up some of her ragged hair. "I don't have much to ask about. What you've told me already is enough. I know enough about those weird God things and Angel things. It's just a lot to take in is all. Not sure what to think about all of it," she said, an uncertain face staring towards the table. She could not be asked to take it all in so easily. She mostly went along with it because she knew for sure she wanted to protect the islands. Of course she was jittery after her first time outside in that world, but it did not cause her to lose faith. She was just...nervous is all.

"Really? Well, if you say so." The brunette reached inside her jacket and pulled out a small box with two slots on it, then opened it, slowly removing her colored contacts and placing them inside. "Well, I guess that's fair enough. You don't have to take it in all at once, though, okay? I'm here to help you get through it, after all. Everyone gets like that at first, but I'm sure you'll be more comfortable with it in time... trust me, if there was a way to keep everyone else out of this, I'd take it..." Shion narrowed her eyes, biting her lip. She wasn't even that sure of what to say... if there was a path for her that didn't involve other people getting in danger, hell, that'd be the best one. She never wanted Lia to get involved... but it was their home, it would be cruel to exclude her forcefully.

"Doing it on your own isn't a good idea. I joined you for a few reasons. Don't kick me out now. Hehe," she said with a smile. She didn't understand after all this why Rita was so willing to shoulder it all on her own. It was silly of course. "Well, so what does that mean now? What's your plans? Waiting around won't do anything right?"

"Do you think I'd do that? I'm happier than ever, knowing that you're supporting me." Rita extended her hand out, opening it over the table. Maybe it was something inside her that just made her want to instinctively carry the burden herself... but she had to push aside those feelings, didn't she? Having allies, no, having friends meant doing that. In the beginning, did she have any friends?

"Well... for now, I want to continue observing for a while. I'm thinking of going to Standasen soon to face Thesis, but before that, I need to make sure you get stronger too. I can't be the only one there, after all, doing things alone will just have me get my ass handed back to me." She chuckled afterwards, but sighed. Where was this coming from? "I think I know what I want at the end of this, though..." The brunette looked away with a wry smile, thinking...

Lia nodded and remained silent for a bit. She had mixed feelings about all of this, but one thing rang in the front of her mind. "I think it's a waste of time to focus on training me. We are running low on time, I think that you shouldn't worry about me. If we go now, we can take her down. I don't care about the risk at this point. If we don't hurry, who knows what could happen to our homes?" She said, crossing her arms. She was rather stern delivering that little tidbit, and she certainly wasn't going to let Shion convince her so easily.

Rita pouted and brought a hand up to Lia's forehead, flicking it. "Silly. Being reckless is what made me always be such a dumb kid. Don't be like I was, Lia, okay? We have until the end of Summer, that's plenty of time. Besides, there's a lot of things we can do to get you stronger that won't take that long if we're smart about it." The brunette brought out her... phone. Well, a new one, at least, with the SIM replaced to fit her old one. She tapped a button, lighting up the touch screen, then tapped it a few times, showing it to the performer.

"These are some missions we can do that won't take too long. I bookmark them as I go along and check in with the Velvet Room once in a while to see which are completed. Let's do one before moving onto bigger stuff, alright? All I ask." On the screen were several messages all from the same sender, VELVET, with random names thrown about. "But now there's another thing... after we defeat Thesis, we still have this Event to worry about, to make a new world... I... wanted to talk to you about that too." Tapping the same button again, Shion placed her phone down on the table, sitting up straight again.

"See... I don't think we should actually go through with this in the first place. Having the future of everyone decided by something that isn't human in the first place, even if we have a choice to follow them... doesn't sit right with me. Lia, what do you think? Do you think everyone would be happier if we stuck to our world? Your opinion is important to me... I want to make sure I'm not doing anything that might make you sad..." As Rita spoke, she seemed skittish, like she wasn't so sure of what she was saying. She needed to know if Lia was alright with this or not, though... if she wasn't, her efforts would be wasted...

Lia didn't respond to Rita's flicking, but she nodded. If that's what needed to be done; she was definitely more experienced than she was. She was just eager to take on the larger ones than small fry. Though, seeing that Rita was starting to get cold feet about following someone sobered her up. "Maybe. Humans could decide what they want. But then, if they are our makers.....I am not sure which is the right choice. But I understand why you feel that way. Maybe it's not best..." She couldn't tell for sure. She saw both sides to it, and there was no reason for her to lie about it to Shion. If Humanity wanted freedom, then it needed to oppose them, but perhaps they could work with them and take their hand, accepting them as what is essentially their God, and by extension, their rule.

"Our makers...?" The brunette didn't understand why that was important... so she got up, walking a little bit away to look outside. "I don't get it. Why would that make a difference? Maybe they're like our parents, but parents have to let go of their child some day. I won't stop appreciating them, but I don't believe they can make the right decision for us..." Rita moved behind Lia, leaning back on her chair as she crossed her arms, also closing her eyes.

"I don't think this is the right idea... not all humans want the same thing. Those who lose are forced into a world they don't want, I'm already seeing factions forming, people allying with the different Angels. Don't you want to have a world where everyone can be happy, Lia...?" Shion understood where she was coming from... but from someone like her, it seemed odd to hear. Especially with what her father had said before about letting her do her own thing... wasn't that exactly what they should let humans do?

Debriefing [Lia] 6uXhsFJ

"Though maybe you're right..."

Could she understand both sides? Well... in a way, it was almost impossible not to. What Simon said at the Rally rung true to her, but what Lia was saying made sense as well. Did she have to make a world all on her own, or could she use the guidance of all Angels to lead humans in a better direction? "Humans could get the Angels' knowledge and proceed forward in that direction... but this Event still isn't the right way for us to evolve. They care for us, I know they do, but they don't understand us. Like parents, though, they know us better than we know ourselves, but we're not a young race anymore. We span seven billion people now, all around the world, and they're leaving all their fate to just a few hundred, if that...? That's what I don't agree with... humanity should continue to advance on their own, because that is the only way everyone can truly be happy, in a world they helped create and agreed to live on, even if some didn't ask to be born here. Everyone has their downtime, but then again, everyone can be happy in this world. Won't forcing people into a new world make them sad because this isn't the life they chose...?" That was her reasoning, at least, as she turned around and hugged Lia from behind, her face frowning as she laid her chin on top of her lover's head. Maybe Shion could understand both sides... but the Angels had to as well. That's why she wouldn't kill them... she couldn't kill them. It would be like biting the hand that fed you. It would be like murdering your own parents... and unfortunately, because of her efforts, one had already perished.

"Family is family. Probably not the same thing for these God things, but it's there. But maybe you're right. It's easy to think about blindly following them and that not being a good thing. So I wouldn't feel bad about it if you are thinking that way. I just want the islands to be safe and everyone happy, despite whatever cost may be." Lia nuzzled her chin with her head and smiled. "Don't feel bad. It's easy to lose confidence and second guess yourself. It'll happen all the time you know? You don't need to worry about it. I promise, that's why you have others willing to talk it out with you," she said, placing a hand up and over Shion's.

"I'm glad you're with me, Lia... the only way I can be confident about my choices is if my friends believe in me too. I want them to be safe too... I want everyone to be safe and happy. Maybe not everyone will be happy right away, but if I can make sure they all have their moment, I'll be happy as well." Standing there, Shion chuckled and smiled. "I guess... I didn't need to worry about it after all. If there even is one person out there who believes in me, I need to keep going. That's the only way I'll make any progress myself. Wow... even now, you continue teaching me new things." The brunette slid her head down to Lia's shoulder, pressing her cheek against the performer's and tightening her hug. "You'll always have my promise. You and everyone that's involved in this. I'll make the Angels realize it too... how much we all already developed. I'm sure they'll understand, somehow..."

"Of course I believe in you. I bet a bunch of others do as well. You don't need to doubt yourself...Well, then what else did you need to talk about? I am willing to go along with what you want, so it all I guess comes down to trying to fix all of this," she didn't have many ideas going for her in actually carrying it out. Her expertise was the circus...she wished she was smarter than this, so she could think of ideas. All she was doing was bouncing Shion's ideas back at her. Was anything developing from all this? Ugh...

"Well... I don't know. For now, I'm too tired to do much of anything today. Though, um... Lia... you might want to stay close to me from now on..." She drooped, almost pouting. What could she do to counter this worry? She couldn't make sure Lia was with her at all times, that'd be silly and restricting. "I, uh... I figured something out earlier today that I didn't tell you about yet. Let me just..." The brunette reached for a pocket on her jacket, taking out a small folded sheet of paper with many creases on it, like it was crumpled. "I found this when I went to Zela yesterday, I'm pretty sure it was written by Simon Alba. Here, take a look." Unfolding it, Shion put the paper in front of Lia, displaying a list of names in sloppy handwriting:

People to Trust

Naomi
Rita Arisato
DJ Ri
Shunnosuke Kurosawa
Jack Rannells
Nilo Lockwood
A.R.

People Unsure About
Isla
L.R.
Cuore

"I've heard that a lot of people on this list haven't even met Simon, but he still knows their names and such, and was able to come to a conclusion like that... you remember what he did in the fight with Ananke?" Shion let the sheet of paper fall onto the table unless Lia picked it up herself, then grabbed a chair and pulled it next to her lover, taking a seat closer than usual. "I thought about this before, but I saw him turning invisible back then. Do you think he may be following us and everyone on this list around like that? If so, we really need to careful about what we do." Lia wouldn't see it, but Shion's hand seemed propped at her side behind the chair, ready for anything to happen. Ever since figuring this out, she had been more on guard than any other time... and just having Lia here meant she needed to be more careful than ever, if she was right in what she was saying.

Simon Alba....that name rang a bell to her....sort of. Kind of, not exactly. It was familiar. Shion clearing up that he was the man who helped them fight Ananke helped however. She grabbed the sheet and stared at the list for a few moments, eyeing all the names. "Whether he's following us or not, he may know some things. He probably knows who you are....I think. I am not worried about him personally though. I have a lot of stalker fans. Plus....I think he's a good guy, no matter what we see of him. If we find him, I am sure we can trust him, even if you aren't on his side. If this is him, he trusts you I guess?" She was spitballing everything that came to her mind. Nothing else she could think of. She wasn't the smartest person out there, so reading this didn't bring any new dedutions or thoughts in her mind.

Well, so far, it seemed safe, so Rita relaxed, sighing. "I can't say whether I know to trust him or not... I haven't told you about the rally yet, have I? Simon, uh... kinda organized a thing in San Malarus with another person. He's planning on killing the Primordials and Angels himself. I don't think that's the right path to go for, though. I suppose he and I have the same idea, he wants humans to choose for themselves too, but it just seems wrong to kill them. I want to meet with him, honestly... find out whether it's really the right way to go." The brunette pouted and rested her head on Lia's shoulder, annoyed with herself. Was it a good thing that he trusted her? Well, maybe. Did she trust him? It was... hard to say. He was a Fallen Angel, after all, he probably knew things she didn't, but even then, was what he was saying right...? No, Shion certainly didn't think so, but it was worth a meeting, at the very least. But Lia was right, he certainly had the right intentions, there was no reason not to give him a chance.
