Though he black and white hair seems to make him stand out a bit, though most people lose their interest really quickly. But he does have a mostly geeky type of appearance and most mistake him to be some smart person as he wears his glasses, though that isn't the case. Like all students, he also wears mostly jeans and some trendy t-shirts. His wardrobe at least has some other kinds of clothing like shorts and buttoned shirts.

Personality: Joshua is an indifferent individual. A lot of it is contributed to his years of being a shut-in as he usually took most of his time studying and even hanging out through the internet. In that case, it's usually a little bit difficult for him to socialize with others. Though seeing that he's in a new setting and his school years are coming to a close, he tries to become a new person.

Due to being a shut-in, he has a bad tendency of being critical of others. Perhaps it's more of a reflection of his inadequacies and he's somewhat projecting them on others. As someone with some low self-esteem, he's usually aware of this. Though it isn't like he always does this to everyone nor does he always make it clearly obvious.

But when he does, Joshua is pretty foul-mouthed.

The Background

History: A Korean American who had lived a rather average life in the States. Like most Asian families, his came for better opportunities. It goes without saying that Joshua is a typical boy for the most part. With expectations to get excellent grades, he was pushed to excel in academics while at the same time practicing some obscure martial arts as a family tradition and hanging out with some like-minded friends. Everything seemed fine. Though the first year of high school changed it for him.

His friends started to move farther away from him to be part of some kind of clique. Nothing really clicked in for them to keep being friends. And sometimes, Joshua saw it as a betrayal. But, it was pretty inevitable when he thought back to it. He couldn't relate with other people as best as he used to before high school. With the pressure to excel in academics, Joshua started to become ever more of a shut-in as he lacked any stake to enjoy life outside anymore.

But despite this, he fell short of the expectations that were forced upon him. With that said, he was sent over to the Azores as a second chance and this time he is told to try to enjoy his life while trying to excel at his studies. It's something that he sees pretty difficult to do, but he tries. Somewhat.

After leaving for the United States and having lost a court case against a drunkard who was declared innocent through bribes, Joshua does seem to have a lot of anger. Though he seems more worn out by the disappointment of the court system. His emotional and mental state doesn't help that his parents were even killed by that car accident that the drunk driver made. At times he has rather murderous tendencies which can be extremely difficult to read with his calm expression. Perhaps his years spent in a hobby of hunting served as a conduit to better channel his anger elsewhere so that no person could get hurt. It's to not be mistaken that he deals unnecessary pain to animals. He hasn't gone off that far... yet. While now as an irritable sort, he bottles up a lot of his emotions to himself. Some people who know him long enough maybe able to notice he's a powder keg ready to explode.

Angry and disappointed with this turn of events, Joshua had no way to vent his tumultuous feelings except in hunting and his martial arts. It didn't help that his father's business was closed down soon after. Without much to hold him down here in the United States, he simply decided to head back to Azores.
