| When was the last time the DJ had been at one of these doors...? It felt like ages... Though, she wanted to stop at the Velvet Room before heading to Standasen... She'd only be a short while... Just, maybe give her peace before possibly dying maybe... Her nerves where on edge... With a deep breath, the DJ looked at the door with a slight tilt to her head. It was such a weird way to get to a place that was supposed to be so helpful... Though, was it really helpful...? Maybe... You could never know until you tried after all... With a step forward, the DJ moved a hand to the door knob, promptly being enveloped in that blue light and lightly stumbling as she appeared in the Velvet Room. It was so much weirder than going through rifts... Maybe better in a weird way.
"... Hello? Anyone here right now?" the DJ called out, a light coming from her ear as a small being made itself visible upon the DJ's shoulder. Mellow had never been here before... What was this place? There where little things flying around too! Where they like her? She had never met something like her before... Wonder what they're like?
The DJ lightly smiled towards Mellow, glad to have something she held dear to her so close by... A bronze whale as her father called it... Something you held very near and dear to you thought you never knew exactly why... It made you happy, and that's all that matters. Regardless, the DJ took a step forward, Mellow humming gently as a few of the fish swam towards the DJ and virtual pet... Such an interesting place... It was beautiful in its own respect... A peaceful place, really.
Though, that thought brought back memories... Bad ones... But, good ones at the same time... Her father and his abusive words... But the praise he gave her when she was a child and brought home perfect report cards. Her mom and the way she'd constantly scold her for being any bit creative... But the times when she'd let her into her study to read those big beautiful Japanese books and the times they'd spend hours smelling the exotic scents they'd buy from over seas. She missed those times... Even though she was, like, saving the world now or something... She wished she could still be with the parents she loved...Regardless, the DJ huffed and stepped farther into the sunken ship, her eyes drifting around as she admired the place. It was certainly an interesting place... A calm and quiet one... She could fall asleep here and be content with that... Though, she knew she couldn't. She had her family to think of... Calvin, Mallory, Pico, Oki, Hyde, Mom, Dad... That was her family... And she'd fight for them in this crazy mess... Even if it meant her life...
Where were these thoughts even coming from? Was she worried about the mission at hand...? Possibly... Though, jeez, she'd just get depressed at this rate... Or, maybe she was just analyzing her life or something? The conductor hummed in amusement within the DJ's mind, causing the latter to roll her eyes. She was overthinking things again... Well, might as well not bother with the thoughts further, yo.

| "Oh? This, I didn't expect." The Attendant sat to the side, near the corner of the room this time, looking at the door with a smile as she held her notebook in one hand. "Many guests seem to be arriving lately. You are... hm, interesting, I don't remember seeing you around. What's your name, child? Come in, go ahead, I won't bite." The greenette elegantly got up off her seat in the corner, closing her notebook with a light thud before letting it float where she was, seemingly unaffected by the water."Welcome to the Velvet Room. Seems it's only me around today, even our Master is away for a while. My name is Rin Kouhei, it's a pleasure to meet you." The Attendant stopped in front of this new guest and did a small bow, just as she would to anyone else. Now that there was no-one around, it seemed the job came to her to greet new guests... fair enough, though, this didn't bother her that much. She wasn't created as an Attendant, but she had pretty much all the abilities of one, being the same kind of being. This wasn't very routine for her, but it had happened before, occasionally. After all, this wasn't the first time the Velvet Room welcomed guests. | |

| The DJ hummed once more before snapping out of her trance, Mellow humming as the two laid eyes on the green haired lady. Oh, she must be like the man she met here before. The DJ smiled lightly and watched as the notebook floated beside her. Wow... Flying books? Or was it swimming like the fish here... It was kinda confusing, but the DJ was impressed regardless. Mellow didn't quite know what was so impressive about it... But, Mellow didn't get a lot of things... So, no biggy~!
"Hm? Your name's Rin too? Well, that's a coincidence. I haven't met too many people with the same name as mine. My full name's Rin Akinyi and my stage name is DJ Ri Rain. Call me whatever you like, fellow Rin~." the DJ said with a light nod of her head, glancing around the velvet room once more. It was odd how this placed always seemed empty... The DJ wondered why... Maybe it was for important reasons...? Who knew...
"It was empty last time I came here too... Is it always this quiet? It'd drive me insane if it was..." the DJ said with a light laugh, gently bowing back to the attendant. She hadn't bowed in forever... Eesh, she must miss her mother... The DJ'd probably call her before heading off into the vast unknown of a shadow infested swamp... Mm, though, that wasn't important now. The here and now was, ya know?

| The book would float upwards slightly before bobbing back down, exactly as if it was floating in water but not... surfacing, strangely. Like it was suspended. Rin chuckled at the guest's expression towards it.
"Hm, this is an interesting turnabout. If you don't mind, then, so neither of us gets confused, I'd prefer to call you Ri. It's funny that this happened when it did." As Ri said, there weren't many people who shared her name, except in Japan. In this new location of hers, this was what she least expected to find... not to say it was undesirable, but it made her smile.
"Ah, unfortunately, it seems to be quieter lately. My siblings have been out somewhere... I usually appreciate silence, but this sort of silence is eerie, I must say. Don't worry about it, though, no-one usually stays in the room long enough for it to affect them." The Attendant stood idly in front of her before shifting to the side lightly. "Why not take a seat? I'm sure you must have had a purpose to come here. I'll answer any questions you might have to the best of my ability." With her free hand, Rin directed Ri at the seats in front of the door. If she chose to take one, Rin herself would sit on the opposite end, pointing her Rod of Justice in front of her as it sprouted two greenish holographic blades from each side, looking more like an open book now than a blade. Rin would look at the guest with a smile, waiting for what she was going to say next.

| Ri then? Yah, that was fine with the DJ. She was used to being called a plethora of different names that sounded like Rin. Ri, Rinny, Rin-do... The list went on and on, yo! At least Ri was something she was used to hearing... And not like, Rinferno or something like that... Heh, no matter.
"It is, isn't it? A nice one too, if you ask me." the DJ said with a light smile. It wasn't every day you actually met someone with the same name as yours. It felt kinda special, ya know? Especially somewhere so far away from Japan no less... She wondered what her mom was doing now... Hm...
"If you say so, Rin. Though, if it ever gets to quiet, I'd probably play a song to drown the quietness out... Quiet can drive people insane ya know." the DJ said with a light laugh, tilting her head before nodding and taking a seat. She crossed her arms and hummed gently. What really did she want to ask? There really wasn't much for her to ask that she didn't already know about... Weird, huh?
"Well... I'm not really sure... I kinda came here on a whim before risking my life again... Maybe just to say goodbye just in case, ya know?" the DJ said with a light sigh, a weak smile crossing her face. She wasn't to confident with how her last mission transpired... Oh well, you can only go up from there, right?

| She nodded in agreement to the first statement. She liked her name, yes, it was short and pretty. Easy to remember, really. Was that all, though? Rin knew just how strange these events could get. She was no stranger to strife, after all... though, really, they were few and far between, it wasn't like she could actually speak for all of them. The similarities usually only kept themselves to a few odd facts too, that's all. Well, maybe she was getting sidetracked, actually.
"I see, I'll keep that in mind, then. If I'm ever in need of music, I'll call for you." The Attendant tapped lightly on her tablet-like compendium, typing... something, whatever, in. From the back, the markings on the tablet looked like gibberish, some strange language. Rin raised her brow at the guest's answer, though, putting the compendium away in its 'cover'.
"Risking your life? That doesn't sound good. It's a shame I can't directly interfere with a human's destiny, but I can at least offer you consolation. How about a reading? Divination isn't my forte, but I can at least attempt to do what my Master does." The greenette dug her hand into her breast pocket and took out a deck of small cards, barely the size of her palm, and set it out on a table between the two. Yes, they were Tarot cards, as per usual, and though Rin wasn't skilled in divination, she at least knew the basics of what to do, having learned them a while ago.

| She couldn't really imagine someone being contempt with this much silence... Didn't it drive people crazy...? A day in here would probably drive the DJ bonkers if not more... Oh well, to each their own, yah? But, regardless... The DJ didn't expect Rin to go and stop her... These Blue people all seemed the same in a way... One the DJ couldn't exactly pinpoint either... Oh well... It didn't really overly matter, right?
"I'm not risking my life for no reason... I'm doing it to kinda save the world... Someone has to do it, ya know? I'd rather it be me than someone I care about..." the DJ said with a weak smile, she brushed a strand of her hair out from her eye, sighing lightly be perking up at Rin, tilting her head gently to the side. Her tablet was cool... Though, divination...?
"... Hm...? I guess so... It might help ease my head, heh." the DJ said with a light smile, nodding her head to Rin's offer. Maybe it'd be a nice thing... Though, the DJ knew they could just as easily be bad... Heh, oh well... DJ'd take whatever with a smile, yo!

| Truth be told, Rin herself wasn't content with too much silence, it meant something was wrong in the Velvet Room. Some times, she loathed being unable to directly change what went on outside... her siblings were somewhere around there, she knew that much. Hell, Akumu had told her as much. So many other children, risking their lives... it was a shame, almost, and this new guest was no exception.
"Oh, trust me, I know you aren't. Despite your looks, you don't appear the type to be reckless. Selflessness is a very good trait to have." Rin lifted her hand above the deck, it too floating upwards before moving towards Ri. "If you're okay with it, please shuffle the cards yourself. I don't have much experience, but I at least know the questioner is the one to do it." Should Ri do it, after it was done, the cards would float back to the side of the table before ten were separated from the top and laid out on the table, four to Ri's right, laid out in a straight line, while five split into a sort of cross right next to it, a final card lying sideways on top of the middle one of the cross.
"Feel free to pick the card you want. I know the positions of each meaning, I'll read the meaning of the card you choose." Rin crossed one leg over the other, leaning back while placing her Rod of Justice propped on her upper lip, just under her nose. She only knew the standard divination spreads, but she hoped this was enough. Ri had already said what she was worried about, after all, so all that was left was the reading.

| Eh? Did she look edgy? ... Er, don't answer that question~ Actually, forget the DJ ever thought of it~ That worked as well, no? Eh heh... R-Regardless, the DJ would smile gently towards Rin, nodding her head gently at the attendant. It seemed she gave off a good first impression, that was good, no? Regardless, the DJ would nod her head towards Rin, taking the deck in her hand and shuffling it as best she could. She wasn't really into poker or the poker-isk card games and TCGs weren't her forte... So the shuffling was sloppy at best before the DJ moved them about to be neat and orderly once more before handing the deck back to Rin.
She stayed quiet as she watched the cards being laid out. She had never done this before... Weird... Regardless, the DJ looked up at Rin and nodded, going to point at the card that was in the middle of the cross.
"This one." the DJ said with a nod of her head, wondering if she picked a good one... What even was a good one in a fortune...? Eh heh...
