His hair is short black, and messy. It can sometimes be put into a side bang, covering one of his eyes, or have strands between his eyes. His hair kind of picks it's own style, he doesn't mind much.

He is 5'7", and wears a black type of coat, with a gray shirt underneath. The tail of the coat almost goes down to his feet, making it flap in the wind when it get's windy. Black jeans are a usual wear for him, though he will wear other pants as well. Aside from this clothing, he will wear different clothing at home, or in places he feels comfortable, clothes such as double layered shirt with pants and sandals. Or a tank top and shorts with sneakers. He doesn't have a consistent "style".

Personality: Kirito is a quiet person, saying very little things. He keeps to himself and doesn't interact with others very much. He stays at home during all of his free time, allowing him to practice hobbies. He has an active imagination, despite how alone he is, causing him to get inspired to do things easily. An emotion is rarely shown on his face, most people can't tell the way he looks when he's angry from the way he looks when he's happy.

Friendships
If you somehow manage to get him to think of you as a friend, which is very rare, you will see he is not as dark and sad as he seems. He is quite a normal person, and even can be called happy, but he hides it because he knows the world. If you even show the slightest weakness, you're screwed. So he put on a blank mask and hides his face behind it. At home he is glad to be able to take it off, and do what he loves most, which is reading, drawing, and watching TV.

Hobbies
His hobbies consist of drawing. He draws his own character, super hero's, knights and other things. Anime is a topic he loves to draw, but he never shows these to anyone, not even friends, because of his fear of being ridiculed. Reading is another hobby of his, he is quite intelligent and loves reading, but his attention span makes it hard to find a book good enough to keep his attention.

Kirito is protective, of himself and people close to him. If you insult anyone, though, he is the person most likely to tell you off, despite consequences. Jokes are something he enjoys, but make a joke about the wrong topic and he will take it very personally. He can also make jokes, and does so sometimes.

The Background

History: Kirito's mother died when he was about 5. His father was a strict man, but also compassionate. During the time of grieving over his wife's death, though, he became cruel, and mean to his son. Kirito was usually in his room, avoiding his father's anger and also to grieve himself. Many years later his father regained his old self, yet still shows signs of cruelty now and again. Kirito, on the other hand, still held remorse for his mother's death and held a heavy heart because of it. Once Kirito entered high school and joined the kendo club, his father decided to get him a gift for his 15th birthday. It was a sword he had bought at a market in town, it was a real blade, but a replica to a legendary sword. Or, at least that's what the vendor told him. He currently still goes to school, and leads a somewhat normal life. He still secludes himself, and keeps distances from others.
