Gideon is a Caucasian male with oddly golden eyes. He stands at 5' 10" and weighs somewhere between 175-185 lbs. His hair is a light brown color that is somewhat unkempt, but rather short. He has a light brown beard that covers most of his chin and becomes a light mustache, it is a hairier beard, but does not look disheveled or unclean. His clothes are rather casual. In the winter, he can be seen wearing a sweater on top of a casual button up shirt, he wears khakis most of the time and darker shoes or boots. His look is odd, he has a look of the outsider, of never relating to anyone. A look into his eyes shows a lack of understanding or relating to anyone that he comes into contact with, even if he does understand or can relate to someone.
Personality: To rule over power does not guarantee an understanding of the gifts that were bestowed to that said person. Gideon is a true example of this. He hasn't really come to terms with what it means to rule over power. He has never understood what he is or what he has to do with his own life. His whole life has been one battle to the next with his identity, but he constantly fails to find a true identity for himself. It's like he's had an identity crisis his whole life. He knows the simple things, such as personality and his likes and dislikes, but he's always wondered what it was like to have an identity.
Gideon also lacks an understanding of humans. He never quite understood why a human is the way that they are. He doesn't understand the freedom that they have to make their lives the way that they want it to be. If anything, he can honestly say that he is jealous of humans. The freedom to be what he wants to be is not totally in his grasp. To be a being of the Velvet Room means that one's destiny is chosen for them in a sense. Personas and Shadows are their life. The guy with the big nose is his everything. He will never live a life that doesn't include these things, that's why he mainly jealous of humans. Most humans will never have to worry about the things he worries about.
Does this mean that he won't help out a human in need? Of course not. Gideon understands that his purpose in life is to assist others. Most of his human interaction deal with those who have the gift. His whole life was preparing to help them in the future. He understands his place well and will not veer away from his path. He is a very submissive person at heart. From being the type of "person" that he is, he is used to following orders and helping those who have less power than him. It has shaped his personality over the years. He is not shy, but will easily become passive in arguments and let his opinions go flat to others, even if their opinion is worse or his/her strategy is horrible.
But this lifestyle has many advantages. Life for Gideon is a constant adventure. Life is fun for him and he can honestly say that he enjoys everyday that he experiences. The experiences that he has fuels him to look for his identity and his understanding of his life. There are no wasted days for him. This optimistic outlook on life has let him discover many things about his life, but at the same time, he feels better about his life. His life is worth living when there is an adventure to have with Gideon. But does that mean that he is reckless? Of course not. Being reckless would mess with his destiny of assisting others. Going against his destiny is going against everything he believes in.

—Strength Name: Devotion —Description: Gideon is passionate about his goals and finding his identity. Nothing can stop him from finding out something about his identity, or making one for that matter.
—Strength Name: Knows His Place —Description: Gideon won't challenge those who are above him. He knows that he is not in a position to argue, so he will not. But this saves him from many situations that others may face about not knowing their place in a group.
—Strength Name: Not Difficult —Description: Gideon isn't very confrontational. He won't be one to find himself arguing over something with someone, nor is he hard headed. Though he is not open minded, he is just someone who isn't confrontational.
—Strength Name: Adventurous —Description: If it means learning about himself or others, Gideon is all up for it. If it has to do with his destiny, he will go all out to follow it. He won't be reckless with such things
—Strength Name: Don't Mess With His Destiny —Description: Gideon will not let others mess with his destiny of being an Attendant to the Velvet Room. Nothing will get in the way of it. He takes his job very seriously, there is no room for jokes when it comes to his duties as an Attendant.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Identity Crisis —Description: Gideon doesn't actually know much about himself. He can't really place himself into an identity, because he believes that he doesn't have much of one.
—Weakness Name: Soft Spoken —Description: He isn't quite shy, but he is easily talked over in a group and he doesn't express his opinions as much as he should.
—Weakness Name: Jealously —Description: He is jealous of humans and their freedom of destiny and identity. They can forge their own paths in life and identify themselves in anyway that they wish. Gideon does not believe that he has as much freedom as humans.
—Weakness Name: A Destiny Not of His Own —Description: Gideon believes that as a Attendant, he does not have his own destiny. It is tied to the Velvet Room and that will be how it stays. He cannot change it. At least, he believes that this is so.
—Weakness Name: Doesn't Quite Get Humans —Description: He doesn't understand how humans work. He doesn't get what fuels them, even if he has a "human" reason for doing what he does. He wants to learn more about them, but doesn't know how to go about it.

The Background
History: Ever since Gideon could remember. He always knew his place in the world because he ruled over power. Being an attendant came with a lot of responsibility, Gideon always knew that. From a young age, he accepted this responsibility and handled it with care. He always took his work seriously, making sure to keep Shadows at bay and handle all of the duties that came with being a Attendant.
As he got older, he realized that there wasn't much work to do when there wasn't any trouble with the Shadows. He luckily got permission to head out into the real world. He learned quickly that he didn't understand humans. He would acquire a job that would help him become more accustomed to humans: He would be a teacher. He didn't want to be an actual subject teacher, he wanted to meet all kinds of humans, so he became a substitute teacher. He would meet up with multiple people everyday in work and in his personal life. Though he lives in the Velvet Room, he has learned to function in normal human society. He doesn't understand what makes them tick, but he easily became accustomed to the functions of human society, which is different from the emotional and freedom aspects of the human condition. Today, he constantly visits the quiet region of Ueitawa, he teaches at the highly esteemed Kizuna Academy and learns more and more about humans everyday.
