A Not So Purrfect Day [The DJ]

The velvet room had grown boring in the past few days, it’s like no one would show up; and when they did, they would just go to the commodities then leave. No one really went there for advice anymore, and they defiantly didn’t go in there to talk to any of the attendants. Jinx fully understood this, which is why she didn’t want to admit that she wished someone would show up. It’s not like she could enter the world on her own and be trusted not to talk to random strangers, causing people to freak out in the process. But it also wasn’t so often that she just sat in the room waiting for something to happen, especially when she could talk to one of her siblings, though most of them seemed busy at the time. Moving towards a blue colored couch, she would jump onto it, slowly sitting down onto it. Taking a spot where she could watch one of the doors, she still was waiting for something that could pique her intrest.

Hm hm hm... So, this was a velvet door? It was weird... Kinda blue... Honestly, where they even called velvet doors? It looked more blue than velvet... So blue doors! They where weird... The DJ had been into the room once before, by accident mind... But hey! She got to use those weird coins she found in that Easter egg! The DJ wanted to revisit the place again though... Maybe find something useful about the singing lady and stuff! That'd be so totally rad! And so with one step she went to open the door only to blink as she appeared inside the room before ever touching the door. Wow that was weird...



The DJ called out as she looked around the sunken ship. The DJ wondered where the ship was... Was it in another world? Or maybe the doors where kinda like teleports? Honestly, the DJ didn't know... Only that this place made her feel Tamara more than usual... Kinda weirs... Kinda scary... But eh, who knew? The DJ just wanted someone to talk to her about things...

Her ears would perk up as she heard someone enter the room, and they certainly didn't go to the commodities right away like they  knew what they were doing at all. Jumping off the couch, they would move towards a table near the entrance the female came through, jumping on top of it and meowing to get the female's attention. "Welcome to the Velvet Room. A place between dream and reality, mind and matter." Her ears would perk up more in excitement. "I've always wanted to say that. It does make me feel purrfectly powerful." She'd nod a bit, looking up at the female again, trying to keep her attention on the Cattendant. "Anywaysss. I'm an attendant of this blue place, we guide our guests and help them on their journeys along the way. Most guests choose an attendant and have them assist whenever they need it, though we can't intervene much." After reading the terms and agreements, they'd laugh, shaking their face a bit. "There I go trailing off again, my name is Jinx, I'm the Cattendant... Get it?"

Hmm hmm... So, there where fish here... And, wait, huh? The DJ turned to the meow and blinked. The cat had a hat... A witch's hat? What? Weird... Um, take that back, the cat talking was the weird part. Uhm... The DJ kinda stared with wide eyes and a slightly open mouth. Whaaaaat? Did, like, all cats talk? Or like... Whaaaaat!? What was even life any mooooore!? Ahem... Um, stay calm. The cat obviously seemed intelligent enough... For a... Talking... Cat... Seriously, what the hell?

"U-Uh... O-Okaaaaay... So, like, the DJ's asleep right now or like, inside a dream?" the DJ asked, the initial shock of a talking cat blowing over a bit. It was still odd... Really odd... But um, hey! If the DJ was dreaming, then this was perfectly normal! Maybe! Who honestly knew!? The DJ didn't! That was for sure!

"Um, so you're the DJ's... Er, cattendant then? Oh, that's like, really useful! Okay! So! Um... What's the singing lady inside DJ's head supposed to be?" the DJ asked with a light tap of a finger on her temple and leaning forward a bit. She needed to know... Like, badly! It was bugging the hell outta her that she didn't know anything! It was so maddening! She was going to turn into Alice at this rate...

"The DJ gets ya. It's punny. But um... Can Jinxy help the DJ out a bit?" the DJ asked with a pleading look, looking as desperate as possible. She really needed help... Like, really really really badly! Hopefully the cattendant would help... Pwease? Hopefully? Maybe the DJ should have gotten a cherry just in case... Hm...

Had she just indirectly gotten a guest without even trying much? Granted it was hard to do so without a compendium to use, but she of course could request to receive one from Igor again. After losing it the last time, she vowed to not request for it back unless she had a guest under her belt. "... Singling lady? Mrew." She'd think for a little bit before getting a quick idea that might be the answer. "This voice... That's probably your purrsona. It's your inner power and blah blah blah." Laughing, she'd try to contain her excitement to continue explaining it. "It's pretty much another side of you, you can use it to protect yourself from anything you'll find in the other world. But of course you shouldn't use it on any human that doesn't attack you first, that would be bad in itself."

Hm hm? So this cat did know things! So, singing lady was called a persona? (Yah, nice try kitty cat, ain't gunna fall for your purring tricks!) Hm hm... Though, it seemed more in depth than the DJ thought... She just thought Tamara was magic~! Um, there was more to it than that, right?

"So... Other worlds? Are those those shifty thingies with places in them? Like, portaly thingies?" she asked, tilting her head a little to the side. She was curious, and the talking cat strangeness was kinda worn off by now. Sooooo, shower the DJ in knowledge cat thingy!

There was soo much excitement to have at that very moment, since she had barely had any guests in her entire life. She had a couple in the twentieth century, but that was about it before she even about dance clubs and having fun. "I'm intrigued, is your name actually 'the DJ?' " After awhile, having guests was a burden, she juggled having six at once who all needed help on something. Jinx is the type of attendant to help her guests any way she can, even if it means intervening in places she shouldn't. Which is the reason she lost her compendium the first time. The second time was for neglecting her duties, which she's been trying to make up for since them. "Sort of, you got the right idea." Letting out a little 'heh,' she would jump off the table and make her way towards one of the couches, jumping up on one and sitting down. "Any other questions, Miss. DJ?"

Hm hm? Well, the DJ supposed talking kitty cats didn't know much... I mean, it made sense for them to simply be aloof of a lot of things... Right? The DJ couldn't imagine talking cats in the real world... They'd probably scare everyone off or something! Like... Blood Bag... But um, that didn't overly matter... Eh heh... Jinxy here definitely wasn't like Blood Bag... She was to cute ya know? Regardless, the DJ would follow Jinxy to the sofa whilst looking around at the fish there. They where so beautiful... And some even swam out of her way! This place was soooo cooool!

"Hm hm... Nope, DJ's real name is Rin... Though, everyone calls her the DJ... Even herself." the DJ said with a light laugh as she sat on the sofa, looking towards the cat with a light tilt of her head and hum. So, now to think long and hard about super important questions... Hm... Ah! That's a good one!

"So so... You never told me if I was sleeping in the real world, or like, all here... Or something... It's kinda confusin..." the DJ said with a light scratch to her head, humming again. This was hella confusin and complicated... Wonder if it would get easier... Hopefully...?

The Cattendant would listen to the Dj, trying to resist the urge to groom herself in the process. Once the girl was done speaking, Jinx would laugh a bit, shaking her head a bit. "The Dj it is, and what an unusual name it is indeed." She'd bow her head slightly before speaking to Rin again. "And as for if you're asleep or awake; I don't really know the answer myself. I'm pretty sure you're entire being is here at the moment, but I might be wrong." Her head would be tilted to the side as she tried to think more; what the Dj had asked was not something she was equipped to answer, which wasn't something they liked at all. "I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful in that aspect, do you have any other questions to ask me? I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge."

Hm hm... More questions? Well... She wanted to make sure she knew everything right right! So, listy list... DJ didn't make one... She wasn't into the whole idea of writing down things that wasn't music so she winged it! Yayah! So, questions... Hmmm... OH! This was a good one, no?

"Oh oh! Okay! So so... Sense ya couldn't help DJ with her first question... How about DJ's second one!? Hoe does DJ use her persona right?" DJ asked with a curios tilt of her head. She wanted to know how she could do things correctly with it... She didn't, like, wanna summon Tamara and make her do something zeta terrible! That was the last thing she wanted to happen... Control would be needed, right?

How does one use their persona anyways? It wasn't that often that she even thought about that. It was simple for her, crush a card with a book and balm, persona that can heal. But what about regular persona users, did they have different ways to have power? "Well I have an assigned persona, and she can use healing abilities. My other skills are based on my guests when they sign themselves into my compendium." She'd think for a second before wishing she could facepalm, trying to speak quickly to cover up the left out explanation. "A compendium is a book that stores my guest's personas, like a copy of them. Then I can use a skill from them with their own persona, it usually helps me be well equip to assist my guests. Of course I don't have my book so I can't summon a persona at all." She'd laugh a bit, looking up at her guest. "Anyways, I don't know how you summon your persona. She should be calling out to you, she will tell you how to summon her when the time is right."

Um... Well, this kitty didn't seem to know much... Weird. DJ thought someone living here would know everything! But like... Kitty didn't... Kinda annoying but maybe she was new to this whole attendant business? Maybe... But DJ didn't really know... But um, DJ didn't mean that the way Jinxy thought she did...

"No no... DJ knows how to summon Tamara... DJ wants to know how to use her persona right. She doesn't wanna, like, hurt someone... She wants to beat up Blood Bag so he can't hurt anyone anymore." DJ said with a nod of her head. It was confusin... But DJ didn't want to accidentally use her persona for bad... DJ wanted to make 100% sure she was doing the right thing. Mhm!
