| Kido Katsuhito No use stressing over everything if there's nothing you can do about it
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Kido Katsuhito Aliases: Katsukido (Screen Name) Gender: Male Age: 16 Birth Day: August 8 Arcana: The Star Evoker: Tarot Card Place of Residence: San Malarus School Year: First Class: 1-A
After School Club: None
Part Time Job: Professional Gamer
Appearance: Standing at 5'7 and weighs aproximately 60kg. He possess a fairly average build, somewhat more sturdy but remains relatively thin due to lack of exercise and the like. Medium long brown hair that extends to his neck. Wears a pair of black rimmed glasses, framing his deep gray eyes
Usually seen roaming around with a doctor's cloak, whether it's because he's just into the look or likes to play pretend is a bit of a mystery. The fact stands that he's keeping a lot of these somewhere though. While usually seen wearing that he's not unknown for changing pace once in a while, wearing hoodies and the like to temporarily blend in with those around him. Also known for cosplaying if pressed.
Personality: He's a confident person with a strong sense of self. He can be loud and jocular, and he doesn't really care who hears him. He don't spend too much time stressing about how other people see him. If they like him, well, good for them. If they don't like him, well, that's their own problem. While hard to anger he gets especially annoyed when he feels people's making too big of a deal out of what he would think of as trivial at best.
He's quite capable and talented, possessing the sort of intellect that makes you question whether he should still be in school. While that is so he's extremely unmotivated and laid back, very selective as to what to put his effort into. When he decides to put his effort into something though he usually comes out on top. Most of his effort is taken in by Video Games and the like, making him neglect school to play games. He makes no effort to cover anything up and prefers to be straight with people, his painful honesty sometimes mutilating people at worst; being more reminiscent to an insult than an opinion.
His talents and praise of the past has painted him quite a picture of himself, at some point assuming that he didn't need to put too much effort into anything to be superior to the average person. While this may be perceived as arrogant he shows no disrespect towards those he'd consider below him but pay them no greater heed besides that. He knows how to recognise his equals and perhaps those that would stand superior to him in some ways, perfectly aware that he's not perfect in any way while while still tending to judge people a bit fast.
He's somewhat obsessed with bizarre and strange events, welcoming whatever breaks the overall pattern of the world, being somewhat bored with how dull the world can be compared to games and the like. Also tends to get a bit too excited whenever the pattern is broken. He's also a bit on the eccentric side, especially when he really likes someone or something; almost getting clingy.
People need to earn his respect in order for him to really start taking them into consideration. He might bend himself over backwards for a friend or family member, but he's not going to give that sort of special treatment to any old Joe Blow. The ones that manage to crack through his shell know that under that bold, brash exterior, there is a person who is loyal and even clannish at times. He will fight to defend his friends and family from any and all comers if able. With these special few, he drops his joking exterior to be his true self.

Strengths:
—Strength Name: Creative —Description: Having played a lot of games comes with its perks as Kido has observed and absorbed lost of the creative thinking needed to come up with and adapt to new concepts and situations. —Strength Name: Humorous —Description: He's not only a bit of a jokester, he's really good at it. Having an answer for almost anything you throw at him, being able to come up with at least one witty comment even if such a comment would come off as insensitive an uneccessary. Happy to at least have lightened up the mood if anything.

—Weakness Name: Overthinking —Description: While intuitive and creative thinking is a good thing in most cases he tends to overthink it sometimes, making connections that would've made Sherlock Holmes proud except the fact that the answer might be much more obvious than he's willing to give credit for.
—Weakness Name: Impatient —Description: He's somewhat impatient as a result of being forced to bide his time as he waits for new games to be released, rendering him somewhat impatient with a lot of things.
—Weakness Name: Bad with weights —Description: He's not the most physically adept person around, save his hands and fingers. As such there's considerably less punch behind his attacks, decreasing Dexterity with 5%
—Weakness Name: Brittle —Description: His physical inability strikes again as he takes slightly more damage from physical damage than the average person. Taking 5% more damage from physical attacks.
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name: Plug-In Weapon Description: A strange slightly curved sword that looks like it was freshly ripped out of a computer with severed cables extending from the hilt. Measuring at 1m in total lenght, light enough to move around virtually unhindered; relying more on the sharp edge than the power put behind it. The Background
|
History: Kido was born into a relatively normal home, a somewhat higher stationed middle class family. His father an engineer and his mother a doctor. From early on they had great expectations for him, often helping him out with schoolwork and pushing him towards a profession like theirs as a doctor or some sort of scientist. Either way they pushed him really hard and he didn't mind at all. With the grades and praise he gained from all his hard work he was soon isolated from his peers. He was lonely a lot and no one would approach him, leaving him alone for most of his early and mid childhood.
As the world isolated itself from him he did the same, soon growing into video games; a hobby his parents approved at first since they felt he deserved a bit of fun like that. Eventually he grew too much into it in his parents eyes as his grades decayed somewhat and he was suddenly a bit of a veteran after a few years, his screen name showing on some leaderboards in various games. Having even been invited to conventions and the like.
Of course his parents wouldn't approve of such distractions and made it clear to him that they didn't want him wasting his life on games, saying he'd get rid of it all and get back to studying. That's when he snapped, this was one thing that he really enjoyed and he was good to boot and now they're just taking that from him too? He wouldn't have it, telling them he didn't appreciate having them controlling his life anymore. A fight broke out and they drifted apart considerably. His parents backed off, decidedly not caring for what he did anymore. Dissapointed looks following him around whenever he left his room.
Feeling a bit guilty over failing to realise how their son felt about everything they figured they could make it up for him while still trying to put him back on a good path again. So they managed to pull some strings and made it possible for him to apply on his past merits, the good ones and sent him away to San Malarus to attend Zela Academy. Kido thinking the whole time that they had just grown weary of having to look at him. Deciding he wouldn't care for what they or anyone else thought anymore he settled into an appartment and just took the money they sent him, perfectly pleased with this setup for now.

| Because being technologically and programmatically adept are two different things, I recommend you split those strengths up into their own or making a weakness that covers two things together. How it would work inrp if you kept it this way is that if you chose to stick with having two in one, for example if you decided to make a program, and someone else had a strength in just programming and designed the same one, they would make the better program, because they used an entire strength for one quality. Just make sure it is balanced in some way and you are approved. | |
