New Terrain (Phalanx)

"Alright. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the warning." Were these people really that 'trigger happy' around here? Phalanx didn't see a reason to test it, as Sky's warning was more than enough to tell him that she was indeed telling the truth. And making more enemies right now was not the right thing to do... "The secret is safe with me, Sky. You can trust me on that." Indeed. Phalanx didn't not have a reason to spill the secret anyhow. And having loyal allies was going to be important if he was going to succeed with his goals...

Phalanx took the mysterious old woman's words to heart. // Gods, eh? //

"You're a good runner, I take it? Because as things are right now, we don't stand a chance if there are more than one of them chasing us..."

Phalanx looked out the window. How was he going to deal with this situation anyway...? Sure, Sky and these people were good allies and all, but if he wanted to crush SE.RA.PH he needed more than them to succeed. After all, it was a multi-billion company with a countless number of Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons at their disposal he sought to destroy. "We should get some more allies... I don't doubt your capabilities at all, but... If I want to take SE.RA.PH down by force I'm going to need more companions by my side... Any suggestions on where I should turn?"

Sky nodded to Phalanx’s words as she moved towards the train, finding herself quite pleased with what she heard the machine said.

“I’ll hold you to your words then,” Sky said as they made their way to the train. And hold Phalanx to his words she would. She had no tolerance for backstabbers or useless people to her cause. If Phalanx wanted to prove himself he had start the work now. If he could continue to impress her then when and if he ever displayed power, the transition to next steps on both ends would be that much easier; however, that was a plan for another time.

In any case, as they settled on the train and got the blessings from the strange masked woman, Sky was quite comfortable in her seat as she folded her arms behind her head and closed her eyes with a smirk on her face. The smirk only grew bigger as Phalanx asked her about running. She opened one blue eye and looked over at him.

“I am good at many things Pha-Pha. Trust me, with the gods on our side you and I will crush any tin can that dares to get our way no matter how many there are. Besides, aren’t we going to be around natural stones? Think they are just good for gawking at?” Sky asked the other before falling silent for a while. In the brief silence, Phalanx took to looking out the window while Sky simply went back to relaxing unconcerned about any danger that rested ahead. She was sure they could cover whatever happened, so why stress right?

In any case, when he asked about collecting more allies, Sky thought for a moment before tapping her chin with a nail.

“I am afraid, I don’t know. Outside underground connections on this side, I don’t know who would be in this for us,” she said and then reached over into her bag and pulled out her notebook, she flipped a few pages before settling on one in particular and showing it to Phalanx.

“This is a list of the folk the announcer called out in a broadcast some time ago. Not sure if you were awake to hear or not, but perhaps starting with the folks wrapped up in strangeness can help you. Outside of that I have someone in the insane asylum I need to talk who may be useful to our cause. From there, I would suggest scouting about in a careful fashion. Best way to find folk is to go up to them and play interview to see if they're worth sharing the information with or ringing in to step on, ya get me?”

"I know you will." Phalanx chuckled. Sky seemed very adamant on the notion of trust above all else, something which Phalanx shared. "I would do the same in your shoes." He nodded slightly at his companion.

And there it was... Malstu Island. With the massive volcano sticking out like a sore thumb compared to everything else. If anything would be a landmark for Azores, the volcano would definetly be a good contender. "...Pha-Pha?" He raised an eyebrow at the nickname she'd given him. He didn't exactly mind it, though. It was, after all, just another name. "Good to hear. And I suppose we could use the enviroment to our advantage, should problems arise..." She had a good point. Those pillars could be used to hinder the Lancets... Clever.

"I guess I just have to poke around a bit then... Worth a shot I suppose." He took a good look at the list. "Hmm... Interesting. Interesting indeed..." He made a mental note of all the names for future use. Before they knew it, the they stopped, and arrived at Malstu... The two companions exited, and began their trek towards The Lasyian Ruins...

"Huh...?" Phalanx thought he had heard something in rustling nearby... He stopped, and looked in the direction from which the noise came, and caught a glimpse of a black cloak. They were here. "Well, shit. They're onto us! Just get running! I'll meet you back at the station!" He shouted, as the two companions split up to dodge their pursuers...
