| Oswald Schritt "Don't take it personally. I'm just doing my job..."
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Oswald Schritt Aliases: The Beast of Berlin Gender: Male Age: 23 (Post Time-skip) Birth Day: 9th of April Arcana: Strength - 15% Boost to Dexterity attacks Place of Residence: The BackLight. Academy Semester: Graduated
Full Time Job: Blade-for-Hire. Mercenary
Appearance: Oswald is roughly 5'9 inches tall. He's very athletic, preferring speed over brute strength. His hair color used to be a bright red, and both of his eyes shared the same color. However, after being Infused with the Shadow of Brionac, his appearance changed slightly, most notably his eye and hair color. His left eye is now a blue color, while the fringe of his hair turned white as snow... He prefers wearing a black trench coat, which he can use to conceal his Shadow Weapon easily underneath. Generally, he wears t-shirts or long sleeved shirts underneath, depending on the weather, and all manner of trousers, from Jeans to chinos. As long as it's easy to move in, he won't complain.
Alternate Appearance: Oswald is not a terrorist at the start. If he's swayed, I'll make proper changes to his sheet when it becomes relevant.
Personality: Oswald Schritt is a very proud young man, who sees his Shadow Weapon more as a gift than a curse. The Schritt Household have been involved in the war between the two gods for a long while, either directly involved, or as a weapon supplier, depending on circumstances. Oswald himself is quite calm and collected for the most part... mostly due to being infused with Brionac and the escape from his family has made him tougher than he used to be. These past events truly did shape Oswald into the man he is today. He works as a Mercenary, and thus is impartial in the war for the most part, participating on either side, depending on who pays him more... However, he still has his own moral code to go by. He despises contract breakers above all else, and he will, without mercy, find anyone who breaks a contract, teaching them a lesson. You can't really place him as either good or evil... He's mostly in this for his own survival. A Shadow Weapon has to make a living. And why not use your given powers for that purpose, eh?

The Potential
|
Strengths: Oswald has 3 Battle Related Strengths and 1 (2?) Social Related Strength(s?)
—Strength Name: Wings of Brionac —Description: Oswald, while in Last Life, has a pair of wings he can use for flight, and evasive manuevers, increasing his agility in combat. PvS Effect: 10% Boost to Hit/Evasion Rate while in Last Life.
—Strength Name: Ambidexterous —Description: Oswald has always been good with both hands, and thus can use two similiar weapons together, one in each hand. The weapons themselves must be at least somewhat sword-like for him to be able to use them properly. This gives him one extra Dex Attack while holding another weapon.
—Strength Name: Battle Tempo —Description: Oswald is quite adept at manipulating the flow of combat, and thus can perform both offensive and defensive actions in rapid succession each post.
—Strength Name: Follow Me —Description: Oswald has been forced into many situations in his life where he had to make a lot of difficult decisions. He's rather adept at making the right call at the right time, making him an excellent leader. Not that he paticularly cares much for the role... Allows his other party members to move the same distance as Oswald without meeting the word requirements.
—Strength Name: Shadow Disguise: Hand-mirror —Description: Outside of battle, Oswald's Shadow Weapon is hiding in form of a small hand mirror, which he can easily hide anywhere. While in battle, the mirror makes up the Hilt of Brionac's Sword form.
----- ((A floating Strength is a strength you've gained inRP. For example, if you were on a Kendo team for some time, you'd naturally know Kendo which is where this strength would come in. However, be aware, it will not be as strong as any of your actual strengths and is a small plus)
—Floating Strength Name: —Description:
Weaknesses: Same as above
—Weakness Name: Principles —Description: Oswald, in the end, is a man of principles, which shouldn't be suprised given his profession. He will not, under almost any circumstances, go out of his way to do anything for anyone unless they pay him either money, or gives him some other incentive to do so. Depending on Dungeon Difficulty, he might need more money to gain his alliance. If you SOMEHOW manage to befriend the guy, or make him owe you a favor of some kind, then maybe you'll get a discount, or perhaps even get one free job, depending on what it is.
—Weakness Name: Lightweight —Description: Due to Oswalds emphasis on speed and agility, he's very lightweight, which means that all forms of Strike damage has a 10% chance to knock him down.
—Weakness Name: Fatigue —Description: Oswald has a tendency of overexerting himself in combat scenarios, meaning that while Oswald's HP Remains below 20%, his PmEnd is lowered by 5%.
—Weakness Name: Demanding Bond —Description: Oswald's link to Brionac isn't as strong as one might think from a forgotten, which causes his resources to drain quicker than normal. Any Skills that cost SP has an increased cost of 15%.
—Weakness Name: Blunt —Description: Oswald is quite matter of fact, and sometimes even rude in the way he speaks to people he doesn't know well.
----- ((A floating weakness is one gained in RP. It could be a fear you inherited during RP, or an injury that hinders your character. Some can be temporary while others can be permanent.)
—Floating Weakness Name: —Description:
Shadow/Demon Weapon: ((This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow/Demon. You have a parasitic relationship with this Shadow/Demon, and as such you will always want it near you as it is the source of your power. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Shadow/Demon Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.))
Weapon Name: Brionac Weapon Description: A Longsword, whose blade shines in a way which makes it look like it's made of ice. The hilt resembles a hand mirror, and it does function like one. The blade itself is about 93 cm long. Weapon Image: Weapon Attack Type: Slash Weapon Element: -
Side-Arm Weapon: Revolver
Side-Arm Name: Dewloren Side-Arm Description: A standard looking revolver, with an icy, blue sheen to it. The handle is golden in color, modeled after the .357 Magnum, for reference in dimensions. Side-Arm Image: (Not necessary) Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: Revolver - Single Shot - Accuracy is increased by 20%. Consumes only one type of ammo per use. Can shoot only one enemy at a time.

The Background
|
History: The Schritt Family has been involved in the conflict between the two gods for as long as anyone can remember, either as a weapon or medication supplier to directly supporting either side as Persona Users or Children, which isn't that often considering how rare it is for anyone to awaken their slumbering powers. At the age of 11, Oswald was turned into a Shadow Weapon, just like the rest of the the latest generation of the Schritt bloodline. They were all genetically enhanced to specifically become Powerful Shadow Weapons. That generation consisting of Belle, Oswald and Gustaph. The three have been training extensively for Shadow Combat for the vast majority of their lives, and it wasn't until very recently (in Oswald's case, the age of 11) all three of them were converted into Shadow Weapons. And this is where Oswald met Brionac, his Shadow Weapon which is a broadsword now. Belle, Oswalds younger sister, met Gungnir, the Staff, and Gustaph reluctantly got infused with the Shadow of Unicore in form of a spear. After this, the heads of the Schurit Family feared what they had created, and decided that the three children should be executed, before they turned into a major threat. This was mostly caused by sheer paranoia, and nothing else, really. Or perhaps, Nyarlathotep had a hand in that. No one knows for sure what happened... But the three siblings made it out alive, and decided to split up, to make their escape from their family an easier process. Belle and Oswald stuck together. They started working as Mercenaries for various people all over the world, and now... It's led them to Endymion... As to what happened to Gustaph remains unknown. He's either hiding really well, or the Family has caught up with him...
Oswald and Belle decided to do the same... Now, the two work as mercenaries in the War between the two gods. One moment, he may work with the Persona Users... the Next he might be aiding the other end of the spectrum. He's just trying to make a living. Nothing more, nothing less... No hard feelings, right? Oswald decided to take part in the war on his own terms, rather than fighting like his family had done over the course of time.
