Nilo sat back in exhaustion, staring dumbfoundedly at the puppet that sat in front of him. He didn’t understand the animatronic at all. It had repeatedly moved around his room on its own accord, once even in front of his eyes, but now it sat there completely life less. The gears and motor within it where in working condition but it simply didn’t move. The puppet did have some odd secrets about it though as the boy went to investigate the robot’s arms again. He thought they were nothing out of the ordinary, but the more he tinkered with the small puppet, he wondered what secrets it held.
The odd puppet was filled with gears and long iron rods that when moved, moved other parts of the animatronic's body. It was brought to life by two engines, one located in the head and one in the chest. He had taken them out and even opened them up but nothing seemed out of the ordinary… Yet, how did the thing know how to move? There were absolutely no computers within the puppet’s engines, not even a computer chip. It confused the boy as he debated on what motivated it to move.
His thoughts drifted to the other worlds, but he would have felt if a Shadow or Persona manifested within the marionette, after all, he sensed Charles’s power before. He couldn’t pin point the mystery as he went to take off the puppet’s mask again. The odd mask’s smile seemed to dull as it was removed but the boy simply placed it down with a muttered sorry. He began rummaging through the puppet’s head before pulling out the box, taking it out and opening it.
A small engine was there, electrical by nature but without a single computer chip. Simply put, it was nothing more than an over rated battery in Nilo’s mind. He looked over the sketch in his note book of the interior of the puppet, sighing heavily as he returned the battery to its original place. He returned to humming along with her, finding it easy to sooth his frustration towards the puppet. He placed the puppet’s mask back on it as he leaned back in his seat.
“… Could you raise your arm? Maybe tilt your head?” he asked the puppet in a proper tone. He waited a few moments before sighing, glancing over the puppet again.
He didn’t really know what to do with it… It was just to odd of a machine for him to even contemplate over. He sighed and glanced over it one more time before noticing a glint from within the puppet’s sleeve. He tilted his head as he went to investigate it and pulled out a small ornate gun. He blinked, looking at the hand sized musket. He looked at it with a raised brow before looking up at the puppet; it had moved its arm up with a few ticks, a paper falling out of its sleeve.
The boy picked the paper up, it containing one sole word.
“Evoker…” the boy said in a hushed whisper. He held the gun up, looking it over with a curios eye. He brought his hand to where you would place gun powder and the bullet in, almost shocked to realize there was something else there. In fact, what /was/ there baffled him. He couldn’t describe what he saw as he held the gun up to his face. Then he heard her.
“… Use it to summon me… When you need me…” she said in an intelligent voice before receding to her humming. Akumu told him that he would need to summon the card, but something had felt off about that. He didn’t rightfully know how or why, but now he had a means of summoning her when he needed her.
“I’ll protect you…”“If you’ll stay with me me…”“We’re Persona…”“And User…”“You’ll stay with me…”“If I’ll protect you…”
