Dose it come in red? (Zero)

Today... was the day... The day Jack had been waiting for sense this time in July.... The day that angels sang of in the ancient hymns of praise to their lord high above... The day that prophets and sooth Sayers a like foretold in their age old words of wisdom! This was the day that those fortune cookies you got at Hibachi Grill and Buffet told you about! Yes it was a weird fortune at the time but hey... makes sense now doesn't it? For the day they spoke of has finally arrived... As Jack woke and greeted the dawn he looked to his wall calender and took in the sight of awe inspiring beauty that was the current date... ,"The day... Has come..." Jack carefully removed his limited edition Featherman: Operation Overclocked comforter and sheets and stood from his bed... He calmly changed out of his night clothes and prepared himself for this day... He quietly opened the door to his dorm room and shut it softly behind him... he took a deep breath and let the day soak into him.

Then he shouted...," IT'S HERE!" Jack sprinted down the halls of the dorms and towards the school's library. Those in his path were quickly shoved aside with a quick and half hearted apology. His shrieks of joy and excitement resonated through the halls of the school as he ran.

His heart began to beat out of his chest as he approached the library. he quickly flashed his ID to the man at the front desk, but paid him no mind as he quickly ran to the new releases section.

Once there he eyed the nearly empty rack of books with mild suspicion. Something was wrong... no no... it couldn't be... He had to check again! Not on the top row... not on the second... the... the third..... and the fourth and last rows were empty... This... What... No.... It couldn't be! It wasn't here! Maybe.... Maybe they haven't put it out yet... Yes that has to be it! It has to!

Jack quickly rushed to the front desk and look at him with hungry pleading eyes. In a rushed voice he would ask the check out guy, a student no older then himself mind you,"Where is it?" he looked worried and on the verge of tears... and would say no more until the young man behind the counter answered his question.

Etsuo typically, enjoyed his time in the academy library in the morning, the sun shined so nicely as it rose, and the people that typically entered the library were calm and orderly. He had no idea to which things today were going to have to be written down as an extreme exception. If one were to find him, it would be of course at the front desk of the library, where was enjoying a nice book, he rally didn't get why it was so good until he really got into it. It was his curiosity that had drawn him in to this book, and to be fair, it was a new book as well. He read it now because he was able to, and who would really notice such a thing was missing from the new book shelves. It was an especially important book though to the one that was only moments away from arriving, Etsuo felt however, like he was reaching the most anticipating part of the book. Just as he was about to flip the page, something traveling comparatively to a bullet recently shot, to him passed by, moving everything out of the way in it's path. Forcing him to raise his head to notice a certain student with his id out dashing towards the new books section. He seemed like he was in quite a panic, like he could cause trouble for the library as he seemed to be reaching a point of panic as he searched the shelves a few times.

Etsuo would put the book away under the desk before the fellow student would arrive at the front desk asking a single question, that he was probably expected to answer. "What is it, sir?" He would ask in return. "And might you please properly show me your student id?" he added, a tad bit annoyed by how he had and was acting it seems. This man did strike his curiosity and sense of adventure however, he seemed like he was on a journey or pursuit of something important to him, more likely than not a new book, that wasn't on the shelves, he could only wonder which one though, as he had added more than just a couple today to the previously deserted shelves. " I'm sure that I can help you find whatever you are looking for today." He would say as an encouraging gesture, to not let the guy give up any hope on this quest of his. Etsuo was also glad that the actual librarian was not quite in yet today, otherwise, this adventure would be cut extremely short with the guy before him getting forced out of this place. But there was also only so much time before that arrival occurred, as they would be in a race against time that he hoped wouldn't distrub the other guests of the academy library.

Jack may have been at his wits end, but that didn't excuse his behavior and he knew it. Luckily the library clerk was much more polite about the issue then he had been. If he hadn't handled Jack gently... oh who knows what could have happened! Probably not something pleasant that's for sure... Ether way Jack felt... bad for snapping at the man, after all it couldn't be HIS fault that the greatest piece of literary work created by the hands of man or god has gone missing... Surely! Jack took a deep breath and calmed himself. If he was going to get his book he would have to be calm, collected, and most of all kind. He took a second breath and let himself let go of his tension. Once he was calm he pulled out his wallet and took his Library ID out once more and handed it to the man with a small nod,"Sorry I uh... was in a bit of a rush... didn't want to wait I guess.. heh..." If the man took the ID, Jack would wait patiently until he returned it.

"Sorry for all the trouble I'm just a bit excited. Ya see, the Auto Biography of Hiam Saban comes out today... And I just... Had to get here before any one got to it!" Jack scratched his neck nervously. Just the thought of learning the every intricacy of the life of Hiam Saban, the man who brought the world the Americanized version of Featherman Rangers.... Who introduced continuity to Sentai! The man, without even realizing it, made Jack into the man he was today! To say he was grateful to the man was an understatement. In fact, the world itself should thank Saban! He inspired the worlds first true Featherman Ranger!"It wasn't over on the new releases rack so I was just wondering if you guys hadn't put it up yet."

Jack would wait for the man behind the counter to offer help.

Etsuo found himself in a point of life where you curse the small chances that occur against you in life. His classmate, seemed to after accepting that he couldn't find whatever he was searching for to finally calm down and better compose himself within the library. The place overall became a much quieter place at the moment, a place that Etsuo didn't mind spending his day in, reading about the adventures and fantasies of others. All coming towards Etsuo wanting to forge his own adventures and stories to tell to others about, whether they would be works of fiction or an actual living event remains to be unseen within his mind however. So, both Jack, from the name that appeared on, and himself seemed to be at a little bit of a conflict, as the book that Etsuo found himself divulging in was in fact the very same, "Autobiography of Hiam Saban", the book based on a man that created grand shows of adventure and heroes for all to enjoy. This was also the moment that Etsuo became irritated at the chance with how the odds of this were suppose to be slim to none. Trying to remain calm he took the id from Jack and placed it on the desk before him for it to be scanned, pulling up his library account that was connect with his student account. He also took the moment to type in the book's title even though he knew what would clearly say that it was in, even though the book was technically in his possession. He was quickly approaching a dangerous crossroad of choices, so e would have to decide very quickly. "Thank you, Jack." He stated as he returned the id back to it's rightful owner.

"So you came here looking for said book huh, and didn't find it in the new book section...., in most likely case it has been either misplaced or someone is using it within the library." He continued with and was being quite honest, that he was reading it earlier, however, Etsuo didn't really want this person to become frustrated more than he already appeared earlier. During his speaking, he was typing in the information of the book into the computer, like he would do so normally, making use of the large size of the library, he would hopefully be able to get him to move away, so that he could take the book out of its hiding spot right under the desk. "Probably would be best if you tried looking for it in the nonfiction section with all the other biographies, I'll try to figure out if it was set aside somewhere, instead of being put on the shelf." He finished with and hoped that would get Jack to divert his attention away from the front desk and instead anywhere else. If such was successful, then he would quickly pull out the book from it's hiding spot and put on the check out number for it, before he would take it with him as he went off to find the returned and new book carts for stocking. After walking over there he would stay for a moment as if he were truly looking for a book that he already had. Finally he would return to the front desk with book in hand, as he would await the return of Jack, or Jack was waiting on him. In either case he would go behind the front desk once again and scan the book, adding it to Jack's account. After that with a small smile, he would present it to Jack hopefully. "Sorry for the inconvenience." He would have said if everything was going smoothly and according to how he wanted it to go.

"If you don't mind if I ask, but what has made you so interested in that book? Just a big fan of his works?" He would ask to finish.

Jack took his Id back and smiled, this guy was WAY nicer then the normal check out guy he had to deal with. Why just the other day Jack wanted to renew his copy of HitchHiker's Guide for the fifteenth time, a very reasonable request! But noooooo! He had to cite rules and regulations that state that you can't check out a book more then five times and be all indignant! Jack just wasn't done with it... Then there was this whole thing with a book cart and assault charges... Long story short Jack wasn't allowed withing 100 yards of that guy... Good thing he had the day off today.

Regardless, Jack would thank this much nicer librarian for the helpful advice and take his ID card to go search the rest of the library. His first stop would be the nonfiction section, more specifically the biographies. First he checked in the Hs for Hiam... nope... nothing... Grumping to himself he would then check the S section for Saban... Nothing! Worrying.... Wait.... Wait just one moment.... That Librarian... He was very quick to send Jack off... Could it be... no it couldn't be. Jack cupped his chin and eyed the library... it was still early so not many people were here, and of those people here, none had the book... So that left one of three possibilities.

One: The book merely was not here. This was impossible however. From the way the Librarian was speaking Jack could determine that he knew the book was here...

Two: The book had been shelved improperly... However After a quick search of other possible places where the book could have been improperly put... this theory was also debunked...

That left only one option left...

This librarian was in reality a henchmen of an ancient space demon who had stolen the book to keep Jack from reading it and uncovering a secret message put there by Hiam Saban himself that would lead Jack down the path of righteousness, culminating in a final confrontation with said demon in which Jack would defeat it and save the universe!...

Of course! Why hadn't he seen it before! With not a moment to lose Jack ran to the front desk! Prepared for the battle of his... oh...there it is... Huh... must of just been misplaced... Jack took the book and looked upon it with awe....

He looked at the librarian and smiled at his question. "Well... Calling me a fan wouldn't do it justice... this man's works have shaped my life for as long as I can remember. I just... I owe him so much that the lest I can do is read his biography heh..."

Etsuo was quite glad that everything was ending quite nicely, and after that beginning encounter, Jack seemed to be quite a nice guy from his perspective. From what he heard, he was guessing that Jack lived quite an interesting life, a person that perhaps he could get along with later on in the school since he had not really been hanging out with anyone specific in this school. Now that he had his book however, there was much reason for the guy to stay, unless he liked reading his books only in the library. Looking around the front desk, Etsuo tried to search quickly for something to keep him around, eventually his eyes would scan and come across the coffee maker, which had made it's morning batch, even though he has yet to even have a cup. It seemed to be one of his few options, with little time left to make a different plan in mind, he had to play the game of chance that Jack was a morning coffee drinker or bust.

"You drink coffee at all?" He would ask him, while making a pointing out gesture to the coffee machine. "I would like to offer you a cup for the inconvenience, and you seem like a pretty nice guy." He added on.

Depending on if how Jack answered him with yes or no, he would go over to the coffee machine and pour himself a cup of coffee and maybe, Jack a cup of coffee. From there, he would either hand Jack his cup of coffee or wave him off from the library. "Ya know, I really don't have too many people who come here in the morning, so if you want to come by for a cup again, I won't mind." He stated. Etsuo would also bring out spoons and the sugar with creamer, not having a clue how Jack would like his coffee or if he even liked the stuff at all. From there, the cups would be made and they were able to be enjoyed as they pleased. " I still haven't met too many people at this school yet, so it has been a pleasure to meet you, Jack." He would finish with and allow Jack to take his leave or stick around if he so wished it. Etsuo would have to remain here in the quiet library for a little longer before he would be free to go elsewhere in the school/

Jack was honestly surprised by the offer... The one thing he had come to expect from the school library was pain, persecution and restraining orders... not free coffee and pleasant conversations. He took his book under his arm and nodded smiling. Truth be told the only thing he had planned for today was to read his book and in all honesty he could probably spare a few minutes to sit with the nice man and enjoy a cup of joe.... Well... stare blankly at while pretending to drink would be more appropriate. Jack and coffee... well they didn't mix. He had always thought the taste was disgusting to say the least, far to bitter and oppressive. He preferred sweet or citrus flavor with his drinks but... hey, to turn down a gift is to insult the gift giver, and while Jack loved a sarcastic remark or two... He felt it wasn't the best way to thank him for his help in finding the book.

"Sure! Extra cream and sugar please,"  Jack would say hopping over the counter and joining the man. After they sat and the librarian had said his piece about not knowing many people, Jack would tense for only a moment. He thought for a second on how the libraian knew his name when he never gave it... but then remembered it was obviously on his ID... Duh... Jack nodded and smiled"The pleasure is all mine! I don't think I caught your name though," Jack would sip the coffee and cringe slightly... even over loaded on sugar and cream... it still tasted bitter...

Etsuo was delighted by the fact that Jack had accept his offer for coffee, he was glad that it was something that not very many people would turn down. At the instruction of the receiver, he added a large amount of sugar and creamer to coffee, which was very different in terms of sugar, however he did add quite a bit of creamer to his coffee. It did catch him a little bit by surprise that the man had jumped over the front desk to join him in coffee, but he would very quickly catch up with himself and calm himself from the slight shock. It was once again convenience that the actual school librarian wasn't in to make note of such an occurrence in the library. Etsuo on the other hand, wasn't bothered by the ask being committed in terms of being uncalled for, just a little surprised was all. So eventually, both Jack and him found themselves sitting down and enjoying their coffee, the best time for a conversation to begin, of course.

At the notion of explaining that he still had not met many people at this school, Jack responded and then, asked indirectly as to who he was, or at the very least, what was his name. "My name is Etsuo, Etsuo Fukui. Recently transferred here after traveling across the world, practically." He explained to answer Jack. "Although I must say that I think I find it better to be stuck in one place at the moment, this area seems to be just the right place." He explained and then took a sip of his coffee. If Etsuo was asked about it's taste, he would have to say that it was quite bitter no matter the amount of sugar that you put in it as well, however, it served it's purpose with him, giving him a good wake up call at dire times. This was all that he could ever ask out of the very bitter drink before him now. Switching back to Jack, he thought of something to ask him to keep the conversation going after a moment. "So what do you think of the area, Jack?" He would ask hoping that would keep the ball rolling, it was only a matter of time until they were done with there coffee and the conversation over. Then Jack would leave, and Etsuo would be left back to running the school library, not that it wasn't a bad thing, but it could get very dull without a good book on hand.

So he would try to enjoy these swift passing moments as best as he could.

Jack tried to sip his coffee again... Bleh... More sugar..... Perhaps now? nope... Still the most disgusting thing he had ever tasted. Even after turning the coffee into more of a slushy with the sugar and cream it still tasted as if it was possessed and rancid. Whoever made this was the true evil of the world... If only there were a team of Rangers back when this dark liquid of evil was brought into our world... Then perhaps he could be drinking hot coco right now... Ether way Jack smiled at Etsuo's name and nod happily,"Nice to meet you Etsuo. Huh... that explains why I haven't seen you around here much before. Where all have you visited?"

Jack would nod and comment on his answer, but blink in response to his question... The area? Heh"Well... I find the area to be a vile pool of crime and villainy! This town needs a savior! And I!... I mean , The featherman Rangers are just the team of hero's for the job! Have you heard of them? I hear they're stopping crimes all around the city!

Heh... Yeah Jack was fishing for complements but hey... Gatta take what you can get.
