Appearance: Standing at about 3 feet in height and 5 feet in length, Masayoshi is a Samoyed dog with pure white fur and yellow eyes. In terms of body build, Masayoshi possesses incredibly well-trained leg and jaw muscles and extremely sharp teeth, though he usually doesn't show them. Tsutaba normally doesn't wear anything outside of a black collar of the occasional sweater his owner sews him.

Personality: While Masayoshi is a dog, he isn't stupid at all, being able to understand human speech to a certain extent, while not being able to make much sense of complicated words. He's very righteous, but also impartial, he doesn't take sides unless absolutely necessary and doesn't really get involved much in conflicts, preferring his owner take care of them instead. He's obedient only to his owner but is also respectful of other people and very well-mannered... well, at least as much as a dog can be.

—Strength Name: Athleticism
—Description: Masayoshi can run for incredible periods of time and is very fast, usually being able to catch up to any opponent in mere seconds of them running away. This also results in a lot of endurance while running, seeing as he doesn't stop until he's caught the target, though his endurance is also lower than a normal human's.

—Strength Name: *Crunch* *Snap*
—Description: Masayoshi doesn't kid around, his jaws are very strong and pack a punch. While his teeth are very sharp and his jaw bones very strong, he doesn't really make use of this unless absolutely necessary, preferring to stay on no side until something extreme happens to make him consider the opposite.

—Strength Name: Ally of Justice
—Description: While he remains impartial, Masayoshi tends to help out people he finds possess a sense of justice and are on the side of good rather than evil, this usually tends to him siding with Philemon-aligned individuals, rather than Nyarlatothep-aligned ones.

—Strength Name: Extremely nice
—Description: Masayoshi isn't aggressive to anyone at first and usually lets himself be pet and even sometimes turns around for a belly rub occasionally. While he does find this enjoyable, it does mean that you need to earn his trust first and foremost to be able to communicate with him on a deeper level, seeing as he won't really find someone interesting enough to "talk" to unless they have bonded beforehand.

—Description: Masayoshi knows when people are talking to him and can easily understand human speech. Though this depends on what the ones conversing are talking about, seeing as he doesn't really know complicated phrases, seeing as he's just a dog.

—Weakness Name: Bleeding Heart
—Description: Masayoshi will do anything for his owner, be it murder someone or even do her homework (to the best of his ability as a dog). This means that, if his master is threatened, he won't hesitate to kill a person, no matter who it is.

—Weakness Name: Weak structure
—Description: Masayoshi can be knocked down very easily and rapidly, seeing as he has no real combat training aside from pure instinct, meaning his posture is usually very easy to read, being also very feral. In combat, this translates to lower defense than usual.

—Weakness Name: Weak lungs
—Description: Due to his medication, Masayoshi possesses very weak lungs, having trouble breathing, he usually needs to take a break away from battle to recover his breath, meaning he can't take any actions every four full rotations (three in between with the fourth being a rest turn).

—Weakness Name: Distracted as all hell
—Description: Masayoshi doesn't tend to pay attention to people that aren't his master, therefore, their movements are usually unknown to him unless being called out on it. Tsutaba doesn't really care what people do to him, though, as long as his master gets out safe.

—Weakness Name: Vulnerability
—Description: Due to his pills being a variation of the ones meant for humans, Masayoshi gets a lot more side-effects than a human would. One of these would be the weakening of his immune system, making him much more prone to getting sick and even affecting his brain to a certain extent. In combat, this translates to being 15% more likely for either kind of Ailment to hit him.

The Background

History: Not much is known about Masayoshi's life before he became a test subject, though what is know is, he's the first of his kind to "successfully" wield a Persona, albeit only through the use of Suppressors specifically made for dogs. During his entire life up to him being brought to the care of his master, Masayoshi had been a test subject on a side project, one that ended up creating not only the animal variation of Persona Suppressors, but also the first animal to be awoken to The Potential artificially, making it so the same researchers who worked with humans could also now work with other animals.

Masayoshi was brought home to a loving family by one man who was a part of the research team, one doctor Thomas Light, a kind man who always kept him safe and out of harm whereas other researchers tried to perform inhumane experiments on him just for the sake of speed. While Doctor Light certainly performed to the same results the other researches wanted, his methods were different and didn't hurt Masayoshi, making it so he took a liking to him.

One year after he was taken in, Doctor Light and the rest of the research group assigned to Masayoshi died while trying to research another, more aggressive hound, leaving only Masayoshi and Doctor Light's young daughter, Roll. While Roll could already be considered a woman at this time, being aged at 18 at that point, she still felt the shock of her father dying. At that point in time, only the research group could replicate Masayoshi's medication, though shady underground researchers were also developing the technique, and after the research group went under, Roll turned to the underworld to help Masayoshi stay alive, ending up having to work two jobs.

After all this, Roll ends up working at home most of the time as a seamstress, though she also works every day, though not most of the day, as a waitress at a maid cafe, Masayoshi normally accompanying her to work while staying outside guarding her.

At this point in time, Masayoshi only thinks about how to free his master from being unhappy, seeing the stress from working to jobs is killing her slowly and he can't watch it anymore... for that, he tries to look for ways on controlling his Persona without Suppressors, seeing as he can understand why she works two jobs and why he needs to take the medication.
