| Tomoe Kyokudou No one is exempt from being a criminal, just like no one is exempt from being a genius. Everyone has limitless possibilities. To say that one has no options would be the most disgusting of lies.
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Tomoe Kyokudou Aliases: N/A Gender: Female Age: 20 Birth Day: August 15, 1993 Arcana: The Temperance Evoker: Tarot Card Place of Residence: Shibakuzoi School Year: Graduated Class: N/A
After School Club: N/A
Part Time Job: Part-Time volunteer at Shiba General Hospital
Appearance: Tomoe is on the taller end of the spectrum, at 5’11”. She is however rather slim for her age and only weighs a measly 110 lbs. She has long brown hair that reaches down to her lower back. Her eyes are periwinkle, and she has a fairly healthy skin tone of white. She tends to watch herself in terms of hygiene, so her general complexion is kept well groomed. Tomoe normally wears more formal and semi-formal clothing, so she will be seen more often with button-up shirts, a baize coat, tie, along with short shorts and tights to maintain comfort. The closest she will be to casual is wearing collared shirts and pants with a belt. Another time she will be seen wearing something different is when she is at her part time job at the hospital. There she will be wearing mostly her same clothing but with a lab coat over it all that she keeps around her.
Personality: Tomoe is in short, a philosopher of sorts. In long, she is a very calm individual, that is not often taken off guard even by the craziest of things. She is more curious and willing to question anything and pretty much everything as an aspiring philosopher/ethics teacher of sorts due to her constant skeptical nature. Her interest in medicine and science is a hobby on the side, and she tends to things like that in her spare time after graduating from Kizuna Academy a couple years ago. She enjoys the quiet serenity of any scenario and yet, will enjoy a peer’s company at almost any point in a day. Tomoe though in particular enjoys talking or discussions as much as she can handle it, and does not shut up, no matter how much you may want her to. She is not hyperactive, she just likes delving into the thoughts of other people. She is the rushy type though, and does not normally tolerate trifling things and tries to keep control over what happens around her, while prioritizing things that are not exactly normal. For example, she will rush through food or eat something small, which overall leads to her poor body figure, or interrupting one’s talking to get on with it, which can lead to her unintentionally annoying someone else. She also does not have much knowledge over personal space, so it would not be uncommon, especially in one of her emotional episodes to see her get huggy, or perhaps touch one’s shoulder; those scenarios being the lightest ones.
Tomoe is perhaps spoiled for lack of a better term, as after moving to a foster home as a child, she has almost everything. She does not seem to expect anything to go wrong in her future or anyone whose futures she cares for. One would call that foolish; she would call it pure optimism, even if she admits that it can be blind at time. This makes it all the more emotionally destroying when things go unexpectedly for her; add on her emotional trauma as a child brought on by her parents, this causes her to be emotionally unbalanced over all.
Implied before, she has a sort of personality defect; specifically Borderline Personality Disorder. She never was truly normal after she left her parents and has developed an emotional disorder which largely consists of her reacting in ways that do not match various situations. For example, in battle, where one might be scared, she would laugh as though she was enjoying herself, or be rowdy, not because she lives on thrill, but because her brain has more or less switched modes. Despite that, she’s still pretty sane and acts normally around people for the most part.

The Background
|
History: It is hard to say whether Tomoe’s life started good or bad. All that she remembers from her early years was the worst parts of it. She was the only child of a mother and father in some small town she cannot recall to this day. At the young age of four or five, her father would lose his job as an anesthesiologist and take up any act one might think of in order to drown that pain; namely drugs and alcohol. It was caught rather easily by her mother, which resulted in fights between the two, often becoming physical. Despite the parents’ ability to simply separate, they seemed to continue an endless cycle of abuse and apology as though it was their life now. On top of that, the violence would soon turn to Tomoe from both parents. Their projection caused them to both blame her and abuse her for the next six or seven years of her life. She had lived in a small town, and the residents would avoid the family, so they would be completely blind to the things done to Tomoe, even when she would leave during the night to sleep outside somewhere. One particular night during another of their attempts at recovery, they planned a dinner with new people to the town, though the dinner would go sour the minute the new people would arrive when Tomoe’s mother started a fight with the father and then turned the abuse to Tomoe once more with either a wooden spoon to the arm or a boot to the back. This scared the residents off, but it would not go unpunished, when the police arrived sometime in the night later to take Tomoe away and arrest the parents. Tomoe has not seen nor heard from them to this day.
Tomoe didn’t survive her parents unscathed. She began to show symptoms of what her psychologist later in life would diagnose as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). When she was put in a care center, it would only begin as various emotional outbursts, on the extremes of either amazingly violent when she used a toy to hit another kid, or really depressed where she would stay under her bed for a day or so, refusing to even eat. But luck would finally find her within a month when her future foster parents would find her under the bed talking to herself. It would take a simple “It’s okay, you don’t have to be mean. I can eat” from Tomoe that caused the parents adopt her and move to Shibakuzoi, Ueitawa. From then on, she had a very nice life with the exception of her BPD that would remain with her. Therapy did help it, but she still has not recovered to it in full. She still gets into some arguments, skips meals and avoids her parents every so often, but they are much more caring to her, and she is left much better off.
In her life at Kizuna Academy, she was in a mixed crowd with everyone. Some teased her for being crazy, others thought she was interesting or eccentric from her shifts in personality, and some became her friends. Her friends kept her going through school, graduating at the top end of her class, and only got better to a small degree with their help. Even though she does not talk to many of them anymore after graduation, she still does remember them, and in their honor and perhaps her own, she now spends part time studying to become an ethics professor for college or to maybe return to Kizuna Academy after graduation despite the incidents that took place some time ago. In her free time, she occasionally volunteers as an intern at the Shiba Hospital in organization of various things like books or medicines, which gave her knowledge over certain types of medicine and their effects.
