— From a private school in Penecia. You wouldn't probably know, though. — He responded immediately, giving a light shrug along. It wasn't a topic he was favorable to talk about, and judging by his deadpan expression, it wouldn't be hard to deduce his transfer wasn't something he the student longed for. Rather, he was there because...he didn't even know why. Odd as it sounds, Shunnosuke particularly had nothing against Zela Academy, but everything against the circumstances of the sudden decision to move the boy from another school. — ...unless you're from Penecia, which I assume it's not the case, am I right again? — He said, lifting one eyebrow with a cocksure smile, while placing both elbows on the table and letting his chin rest on his crossed hands. Respect to a senior? He had none. Instead, he'd treat him as any other student from his level or below.

A school in Penecia? There wasn't any public school there, as far as he knew. But there was a pretty ritzy academy there. Julian remembered passing it a few times when he was walking around that particular island, trying to find something to hold his interest. "Oh, that place. Yeah, I know it." The teen nodded lightly. "I don't live there, no, but for all the time I spend there, I probably should." he chuckled lightly at the thought, realizing he barely saw more of San Malarus than the street that led from the subway to his house. Maybe he should make an effort to do that or something. Couldn't hurt to be a little more familiar with the area, right?

"I'm surprised you'd want to switch from that place to a school like this." Of course, Julian could tell from Shunnosuke's voice and whatnot that it probably wasn't his choice to move schools, but he didn't exactly want to blurt out that information. What was the point? He'd rather be told up straight, anyhow, instead of coming up with conjectures that were probably wrong.

Does he look like the kind of person who'd want that in first place?? Only someone naive enough would not realize that no, he wouldn't want to move schools. That or he was fishing for declarations on that subject, much like...himself. From what he knew, that wasn't the case.
— Really? So, I'm not suitable for a "school like this"? — He, who'd rest his face at palm, let a lighthearted chuckle out of his mouth after the obvious sarcastic tone in the last part. Whether it was Julian's intention or not, Shunnosuke received that as a compliment: it was a sign, perhaps, he contrast with the likes of the local average student, which was enough of a reason to be relieved. Of course, there's always the possibility of being wrong, but his ego wouldn't allow him to have this perception.

— And you? Do you study here since your freshman year?

"Not unsuitable, per se. It's just..." Julian paused for a second to prop his chin in a hand and draw his lips in a thin line as he thought for a moment. "...You're just different from most people here." That was probably the closest he could get and still be polite. It wasn't the aura, or his face, or his clothes...it was just him. Something in his gaze and the way he acted, mostly. But he didn't really want to say that out loud.

The teen couldn't help but laugh lightly and shake his head at the question. "Nah. I'm like you, a transfer. I used to go to a school in California." That was only for a year, though. A fun, interesting year, but still a pretty short time in comparison. "Did you go to the Penecia school for a long time?"

— ...I'll take that as a compliment, thank you. — He delivered to Julian a soft, conscious smirk with a narrowed gaze. He wasn't stupid to not notice what Julian meant, but the guy had at least enough respect to not be blatantly rude and straight-to-the-point about it. Well then, it's like he say: you cannot always be loved, but you can always be feared and respected, right?

— California, huh? That's far from here. — He mentioned, in a nonchalant fashion. While it was true he was wondering how come his upperclassman exchange a life in California, land of paradisiacal beaches and wealthy neighborhood, for a life in the small Azores archipelago, he wouldn't inquire on that. It's not polite in first place, and perhaps the reason wasn't something so pleasant to be worth telling. — Yes. I was born in Penecia. There wasn't any reason to move to another place, so I studied there for my whole life. — The boy finally answered, with a self-respected smile. Predictably, he would take pride on living a privileged life at his hometown. All in all, Zela was nowhere close to having a bad name of a school. It's just..."someone who met the sun would never satisfy himself with a star", as belittling as that sounds, is an accurate comparison in the younger's mind.

"Yeah. The plane ride was hell in itself." Julian smiled lightly, remembering hoe chaotic the move had been. The trip wouldn't have been so bad if their flights weren't delayed for hours. Sitting around for so long left him with pins and needles in his legs, which only got worse once they actually boarded the plane and were forced to stay in their seats for hours. Yeah, that hadn't been so fun.

Shunnosuke seemed proud that he'd gone to that other place for so long. Maybe he just really liked Azores? Well, Julian couldn't fault him for that. He'd only been here for a little less than a month himelf, but he was starting to like it. Besides, what was wrong with liking the place you were born?

Before the teen could say much more than "You ever-", the teacher clapped her hands and called for dismissal. Well, apparently this conversation was coming to an end. Julian threw his pen back into his backpack before standing and slinging the bag over one shoulder. "Looks like this is where we part. Nice talking to you Shunnosuke. See you tomorrow, yeah?" Smiling and waving slightly, the dark-haired teen followed the swarm of students rushing out the door, trying to hurry to his calculus class before the teacher decided to mark him tardy.

Shun raised an eyebrow and smiled at Julian's comment about the plane. Didn't he like it? Plane rides were a paradise...except, maybe, the part where you have to stay sit for hours. But still, it's a luxury he would welcome whenever it's possible, better than having to take a full bus to work, with no seats available, like his father told once when he was just a High School teacher.

And talking about the teacher, the current one ended his lecture and announced the class had come to its end. Oh? He didn't even notice time flew by. It's not like Shunnosuke was the type to chit-chat during class time, but it was either that or get bored trying to perform the assigned task with efficacy. If it wasn't for Julian, he'd probably die trying to achieve a satisfactory result.

— Right. I see you around...”sempai”. — He said giggling a bit at that sentence, standing along the senior and picking his briefcase. It's kind of an weird feeling to befriend someone who's one year above him, rather than someone from his classroom, but he was glad it was a nice young man instead. So maybe, maybe that school wasn't as despicable as he though...

Well, time to head home. He still have time to practice his sewing before meeting Julian again in a Home Ec class, and of course the younger wouldn't want to embarrass himself with his (currently working in progress) poor skills.
