Knock Out! (Gabishi)

Genji was hungry when the class break started. It wasn't a far run from the third floor to the second floor. But there was one thing that the third floor lacked that the second floor had. Vending Machines. Something to eat that was filling, plus it wouldn't be hard to get that and get back to class on time. It was the perfect plan and it was hopefully going to work, but Genji was a pretty good student, so he would even run if he had to.

The descent to the second floor was a long and grueling one, the hunger was eating away at his core, making him dizzy and sick. Genji never reacted well to being hungry, but he's a teenager, so many others could probably relate to his problems. The hallways weren't as crowded as usual, this wasn't a time of the day where many students went out into the hallways. Genji figured that most students were smart, unlike him, and ate breakfast before coming to school. Genji would've eaten breakfast, if he didn't accidentally sleep in, so it was a choice between breakfast and being on time. Genji chose the latter and here he was, on the second floor, at the vending machines.

The vending machines were screaming Genji's name, they were filled with a bunch of delicious and healthy food that would fill him right up. He would insert a coin into the machine, the food would pop out. It was a pretty easy and delicious plan that Genji made up for himself. Genji reached into his pocket and grabbed about 110 yen, it was enough to buy him a granola bar that would hold him over until lunch. He inserted the money into the machine and the bar fell out. He reached in to grab it, unwrapped it, and basically shoved the whole thing in his mouth.

Genji didn't have much time to enjoy his granola bar's amazing flavor, though. He heard a small cry for help coming from the adjacent hallway and another yell that was from a harsher, more brutish male. Genji knew immediately that it was bullying. He walked over to the adjacent hallway, to see a smaller boy shoved against the wall by another boy, who was not paying attention to him. Genji mustered up the intimidation that he could get and decided to walk and shout at the same time. With his relatable side gone, hopefully he was able to get rid of this bully easily and turn him in. As he got closer, he shouted, "What the hell do you think that you're doing?" As his Disciplinary Committee sash flew in the air of his brisk walk, he hoped that his sash and shout were enough to end this easily.

Gabishi just woke up since he was sleeping all the morning classes. He looks around and saw some of his class mates that where eating or going out from class. Like always no one was near him, even when the lion his sleeping everyone was scared of him. Gabishi grabbed the book on his table that he used to cover his face while sleeping, even thought he bet that the teacher knew about that. He put the book back to his bag while making a loud yawn noise from his mouth. The yawn was so loud that surprised a lot of his class mates. Gabishi slowly got up from his chair while walking heading out of the class. He put his hands inside his pockets searching for something.

Gabishi kept searching something inside his pockets, until he heard a scream not really far from his place. SInce he was bored and still searching for the thing in his pockets, he decided to head towards the scream. Reaching the place, Gabishi saw something that he really hated. Someone bigger bullying the weak. Gabishi took a deep breath before releasing it. Finally Gabishi found the thing that he was searching for a long time, Money. He took out a lot of coins from his pockets, finally he can buy something to eat to fill his stomach. But suddenly on of the coins falls over towards the bully. Slowly he walked towards the coin that felt over to the foot of the bully. Without hesitation, Gabishi put his hand to the bully shoulder and pull him as hard as he can sending the bully flying back. The little man who was being bullied become surprised, and confused at the same time.

Gabishi lower his body to grab his coin back that was on the floor, while the little man just keep looking at Gabishi confused. Gabishi put the coin back inside his pocket, while looking at the little man What?. The little man become more scare while looking at Gabishi. Suddenly Gabishi heard a scream that was approaching them. Me? I just wanted my coin back.... Gabishi said with a calm face at the boy who just shouted.

As Genji got closer to the bully, he saw that another student larger than him grabbed the bully by the shoulder and threw him back. He hit the wall hard and ran away. Genji didn't even think of the possibility at first, he was rather caught off guard by it.

As he approached the larger kid who threw the bully, he turned towards the student that was smaller than the two of them. Genji told him, "He probably won't bother you anymore, so you're okay." Genji watched the kid quickly nod and run off. He turned towards the larger student. His stomach then dropped to queasy hell.

He knew who this kid was, but he didn't know him well. His name was Ogami Gabishi, also known as Hikuro. Apparently he was a nuisance in the school, but from Genji has seen so far, he was pretty okay. Unfortunately, he would have to bring him in to the Committee Room in order to get the story and punish the bully. It might be difficult.

Genji spoke up, "Hey, uh, thanks for helping me out. That guy was known for bullying before. Maybe you scared him out of bullying others. You're well known for being a punk, huh? That's bullshit, you're okay in my book. Unfortunately, I have to get your witness account in the Committee Room in order to make sure he's punished. I know you might have a bad opinion of the Student Council, but I'll make sure no one messes with you, okay? Genji looked up to him and gave him his word, he would not break it, he even said that in his eyes. He was hopeful that Hikuro wasn't going to give him a hard time about it.

Gabishi was really happy that he got back his coin, even thought it seems that he caused another problem at school. Gabishi look at the little kid that was still confused and scared at the same time, it was kinda pissing him off but he tried to calm down. Gabishi look that was another student approaching them. The brown haired guy talked to the little guy trying to calming him down, and quickly leave the scene. Like always not thanking Gabishi, like any person that are helped by him. Gabishi look at the brown haired guy that was a little shorten then him.Somehow Gabishi kinda remember him, but his memory was so blurry to remember. Maybe he knew him when he was still in the first year.

Gabishi remain silent while looking at the brown haired guy, in his mind right now was for looking for food or smoke a cigarette the problem was where. Gabishi look around, there where not much people around there. Maybe because everyone got scared of Gabishi while he helped the little kid. Gabishi look at the brown haired guy that was talking to him. No problems... Gabishi replayed while keeping his calm down. Maybe that's was one of the few times that someone said thanks to Gabishi. Gabishi was still looking at the brown haired man. Huh? The Committee Room? Gabishi got a little surprised hearing that since he only remember bad memory from that little place of the school. And don't start with the Student Council, he bet that he was in the blacklist of worst delinquent in school.

Ok.... But if it's just a waste of time, then i will go somewhere else. Gabishi just nodded at the brown haired boy, even thought he didn't want. He was still hungry since he didn't touch any food from this morning. He didn't really wanted to wait time since he was really hungry at that time. Especially when a loud noise come from his stomach Hmm... Sorry... Gabishi said a little embarrassed while looking at the brown haired guy.

Genji sighed in his mind. He was happy that Hikuro was willing to go to the Committee Room with him, even though he would probably turn around and leave. He was sure that there were some people that would give him funny looks or try to tease him, but Genji would put a stop to that if it was necessary. "Bad people" aren't all bad, they can have some good in them, too. Genji honestly didn't think of Hikuro as a bad guy, though. He never had a run in with him, but apparently he fights a lot. Genji didn't quite understand what the fuss about fighting was about. There were many other members of the Disciplinary Committee that constantly fought and beat up the deliquents of the school, so if Hikuro was considered a bad person, they were honestly no better. Genji didn't have the best opinion of his fellow Committee members, so he liked to do things his own way, his third year status helped him with that.

Genji was about to leave for the room, when he heard a large growling sound. He turned around to see Hikuro embarrassed and saying sorry. Genji immediately realized what had happened. Hikuro must've been looking for something to eat when the bully started harassing the weaker student, so he didn't get any time to eat. Genji pushed his hand into his pocket and reached around for some change. He had enough. He decided to thank Hikuro for his help by buying him some food, that would be a great way to lighten the mood and get the bully in trouble. Genji counted his change, he had enough for anything in the machines. Genji went to the machines, turned towards Hikuro and asked him,

"Hey, as thanks for helping me with the bully, why don't I buy you something? It seemed like you were trying to buy food when this all happened, so how about it buy it for you?" Genji smiled at Hikuro, appreciating all of the help he was given so far.

Gabishi followed Genji are they where walking towards the Committee Room. He really have bad memory of that place since his first year at Kizuna Academy. He was a good boy since he wanted to start over but in the middle of the first year, some students of the school knew all the bad things that happened in Gabishi's middle school. Bad things that he never did, well…. maybe two or three but that was only to help others. He only wanted to help others, and people started to treat him like a beast. But luckily there where some people that treat him like a normal being. Gabishi look around as he saw some students starting to whispering to one to another. Maybe they where talking about Gabishi got in another trouble since he was following one of the Student Council.

Gabishi really hated that feeling of other people talking behind his back. No one was talking behind his back when he was in the Athletics Club. But since he caught in a fight between members he decided to leave the club and become the infamous delinquent by the name Hikuro. He even forgot why he got that nickname. He even bet that a lot of students forgot his real name and only remember his nickname Hikuro. Gabishi look at the brown haired guy as he offers some food Hmm, thanks….. but i don't want to trouble you…. Gabishi said as he look at the others students spreading more rumors around the school.

Gabishi look back at the brown haired students, even thought he saw him somewhere he totally forgot his name so he decided to ask. …. By the way …. whats your name? Gabishi was totally clueless, maybe because he cut a lot of class since the start of the second year.

They were getting close to the Committee Room. Genji was happy that Hikuro followed him this whole way. Hikuro turned down Genji's offer at food, but Genji wasn't offended by it. He just let it go as they continued down the hallway. Genji was then asked his own name. Apparently Hikuro didn't know him. It didn't matter though, not many people knew him, especially those who aren't in the same year. Genji thought this would be a good time to introduce himself. "My name's Kano Genji. I'm a third year, which is probably why you don't know me. This was certainly a nice way to meet, huh Hikuro-san... Ogami-san? Uh..."

Genji had no idea what to call him. Yeah, his nickname Hikuro. But what if he didn't like that name? Genji certainly didn't want to mess anything up with his new buddy that helped him out with the bullies. Reputations are the worst. Genji certainly knew that. He just wanted to get his name right, especially if he didn't like going by Hikuro.

As they got to the Committee Room, he entered in and made sure that Hikuro was following behind. When he entered with Hikuro, there wasn't much time before others started staring at him. They were both from the Disciplinary Committee and from the Student Council. The younger members started to stare in fear, while the older ones snickered at Hikuro from his past. Genji glared at all of them, ready to snap if they spoke up. Luckily, none of them said anything, but that doesn't mean that they wouldn't. Genji went to the back of the room and got the papers to make a report, he pulled out a chair for Hikuro and said, "Sorry about that, they're just jerks. Now let's just get this cleared and you're done. Thanks for being so cooperative. It's really helpful to me."

Gabishi keep following Genji to the Committee Room. Gabishi sweat a little looking at the door of the room. He was trying to forget of all his bad memories of that little place. Gabishi just took a deep breath, while everyone was looking at them. Gabishi look at Genji as he introduce himself towards Gabishi, yeah... he kinda remembered that name when he was in his first year, but still blurry. Well, I'm sorry about tha Genji-senpai... By the way my name is Gabishi Ogami, i bet that you already know.... Gabishi said as follows him to the Committee Room. You can call me whatever you want senpai.... but if you create any strange nicknames like those guy, i will totally be pissed off... And you know what happen if i'm pissed Gabishi said while pointing other students with his head.

Gabishi didn't liked his nickname, he always get a little angry when people call him Hikuro. Gabishi entered the Committee Room while following Ganji. He look around for a moment and saw other students inside the place. Like always people look at him like he was a freak of nature, and that always made Gabishi a little mad. But he tried to calm down a little. Sup? Gabishi said as he followed Genji to the back of the room. He said that to the other students in the room. Some of them where scared and others angry to saw Gabishi inside their room. Miss me? Gabishi said with a smirk on his face while looking at the other members. He didn't want to make anyone scared or angry, he just wanted to help someone else. Gabishi look back at Genji while giving a chair to Gabishi. Gabishi slowly sit down and look at Genji. They are always like that when they look someone like me Gabishi said as he look around for another second before looking back at Genji. So what part have to be cleared?

Genji glanced back to his other Council members. He was kind of frustrated with how they acted towards Gabishi, but Genji could only say stuff to them, he couldn't force anyone to do anything. Even if they were physically forced to shut up, they wouldn't do it. Gabishi seemed to be very upset about it, so Genji tried to reassure him by insulting them. "I wouldn't worry about them, Ogami-san, they are just a bunch of idiots who can't get over one thing. They can be stuck up and act like they are above everyone, so don't let that get to you. It's just something that happens, what matters is that you haven't been in trouble as of late and that you helped me take down a bully. I go by now, not the past."

He continued onto the actual questioning, "It's not much of a questioning, but what I need from you is basically what you saw. It's not going to be much more than that. Once you tell me what you saw and what you did, I can just basically add that to what I saw and we can make sure that the guy never bullies anyone ever again. After this, you can go on and do whatever you want. I will tell you though, you are helping me out a bunch by doing this, so I want to thank you again."

Genji gave Gabishi another reassuring grin. He didn't want any hostility towards him, especially since he didn't know what could happen if he made Gabishi angry, by the way he threatened Genji before, he wouldn't be surprised if there was something that could set him off. But does that mean Genji didn't trust him...? Nah, Genji was pretty neutral with him right now.

Gabishi crossed his arms on his chest while listening towards Genji. He felt a heavy pressure from the people around him. It was normal for Gabishi to felt that pressure since everyone always treat him like that, well except some people who treat him like any normal being, like Genji. Gabishi just ignored them while still looking at Genji that was talking. He was trying to calm down, but it was kinda difficult since he can't smoke any cigarettes in the school grounds. Even thought sometimes he do it while hiding somewhere. Above everyone just because they joined the student council? Pffft Gabishi made a little laugh sound as he can't believe at what he listened. It was true that many people joined something to get more over others, but for Gabishi, Genji wasn't doing such thing. Even if your on top someone else, you will be lower that someone else too..... Up in the sky there is another sky... Gabishi said as he look around. Or someone else will bring you to the ground.... someone like me.... Gabishi continued to talk since he kinda didn't like the "People standing on other people thing".

Gabishi look at Genji that continue to talk, he want to know what happened back there. When Gabishi stopped the bully. Well.... from my point of view, i was getting out from class and i just wanted to grab something to eat. I was looking for some money and my cig- Gabishi stopped as he didn't wanted that someone else know that Gabishi bring his cigarettes on a school ground. Yeah, i was looking for some money and coins when suddenly i heard a scream not far for me. I decided to go there and saw the bully with the little student. Gabishi said as he put his hand behind his head while thinking. So.... i made a little excuse, i made a coin fell over to the bully feet.... and i throw away the bully back making the excuse that he was in the way for me to grab my coin back, and then you came to the scene. Gabishi said as he crossed his arm once again. Gabishi hated to tell lies, that why he only told the truth from his mouth.

That's what happened from my point of view. Gabishi said while looking at Genji hopping that he get the story right, even thought Genji know from the start. By the way senpai, i liked when you quickly ran towards the scene trying to help the other student, i just hope that the other Student Council members are like that Gabishi said as he raised his voice a little hoping that the others hear him. Suddenly Gabishi's stomach made a loud sound, Gabishi have to find food or he will be totally hungry for the next class. Well, that all from me Gabishi said as he stand up from the chair and walk towards the door. He slowly opened the door and look at Genji Well... Genji Senpai..... it was nice meeting you. Gabishi said as he exit the room while looking for food.

Genji heard the whole story from Gabishi. He would write everything down in his report that would say that Gabishi helped out Genji. It would be kept in a record that the staff and faculty could see. Maybe this will help Gabishi look like a good student. Genji thought about it as he wrote it down, some teachers did, some didn't. It didn't matter, though. It was still in there. Genji would listen to the rest of the account and write everything down diligently.

When Gabishi was done, he would leave before Genji could even say goodbye. He was a little sad that he couldn't say goodbye, but he thought that Gabishi was cool with him. Gabishi was cool in his book. He wouldn't let others put down his rep, that wasn't fair. People can change. Genji certainly knew that, with his life and all. He thought about his own Persona and wondered if he could change as well. He didn't think about it too much. He had a report to write and a bully to punish.
