"Life is full of hardships, I'm just one of the ones you have to face"
The Biography
Birth Name: Hachiro Mochizuki Aliases: The Wanderer Gender: Male Age: 31 Birth Day: March 15 Arcana: Tower Place of Residence: Lunapa Island School Year: N/A Class: N/A
After School Club: N/A
Part Time Job: Bartender, sometimes an acoustic guitar player to entertain the patrons at a local bar.
Appearance: Hachiro stands around six feet tall, making him larger than most of his coworkers and peers. He has short brown hair that spikes up in some locations. His brown eyes often have an empty or uninterested look in them. Sometimes he will cock one of his eyebrows whenever someone really fails at their attempts to amuse him. His build is not lanky, but not overly muscular. He does not spend his time working out, but his travels had hardened his body to the elements a bit. It is evident he shaves, but not to the point of a clean one. He likes his shadow, helps him maintain his rugged look.
Personality: Hachiro is best described as apathetic to the world around him. He's seen so much darkness in the human's heart that nothing really surprises him anymore, as such he can be socially distant. However, he makes an odd habit of challenging others. An example of this is when he identifies a man as an alcoholic, he will challenge the man to overcome his addiction then and there. It's an odd little game he plays with others, but perhaps it is to give them a taste of what it is like to struggle against something. Granted, he believes their struggles are far less then what he has gone through during his life. The only time he may liven up is when a person catches his interest particularly when they prove him wrong and overcome their hardship. It is his philosophy that if they can overcome their hardships then they can overcome the darkness in the human heart. If he has to be that obstacle then he is more than willing to do so, though he is not sure how far he would go. Given what he has seen, some might call him wise, while others see him as arrogant. He can give good advice, but only to those that have caught his interest, or have overcome one of their hardships.
The Potential
Strengths: (Anything your character is skilled in, such as Martial Arts/ Drawing/ etc? You are allowed a maximum of five strengths and a minimum of three.)
—Strength Name: Cool headed —Description: "Sorry, I don't get surprised by anything now a days. I've seen it all."
Hachiro has seen a lot of bad stuff in his day, corpses, crime varying from murder to rape, he's lived in poverty, he's been homeless for many years during his wandering, therefore he doesn't lose his head when faced with something terrifying or unexpected. He'll just consider it another hardship, and press on. If a person is lucky then he might shrug at their action, otherwise he just doesn't care.
—Strength Name: Adaptable —Description: "When you're a wander like me, you learn how to adapt to your surroundings very quickly. Otherwise, you end up being the guy that starved to death next to the road."
Wandering without adequate supplies, money, and the like has taught Hachiro to be adaptable to whatever situation he finds himself in. Out of food? Better hunt for a squirrel or some other creature of the wild so he can eat. No money? Get a job, or resort to robbery if you're in that kind of town. Needless to say he has learned how to survive from his wandering, so if put in a pinch he is more than capable of adapting to his surroundings very quickly.
—Strength Name: Rugged —Description: "The school of hard knocks teaches you one thing....have a tough shell."
Wandering harsh climates and dealing with the occasional wild animal has made Hachiro more durable to physical punishment than some of his peers. Not to mention he's gotten into his fair share of fist fights in some of the rougher towns he has visited. Therefore, his tolerance to physical pain is higher than most. (Defense Boost!)
—Strength Name: Awareness —Description: "You never know when some thug with a knife will try to rob you. Sharp eyes and ears will tell you when that punk decides to try it."
Some of the rougher cities that Hachiro has visited has taught him a lesson in noticing the smallest of noises. Whether it be the shuffling of footsteps scurrying for a place to hide in order to ambush him, or a clip sliding a bullet into a chamber. Perhaps there was movement in the shadows or a gleam of a machete. Regardless, his eyes and hearing are particularly sensitive to noise.
—Strength Name: Stealthy —Description: "You can't take a punk with a gun head on, especially if its an AK-47. Sometimes not fighting a hardship head on is the better choice."
Sometimes it is better to avoid confrontation when the situation is impossible to win. Thus when he couldn't confront a hardship head on, he would sneak around it to surprise it or ultimately avoid it. Therefore, he can move silently and hide in the shadows better than others can.
Weaknesses: (You must have the same amount of weaknesses as strengths. These weaknesses pertain to you and not your Persona. IE: Physically Weaker, lack of attention span, etc.)
—Weakness Name: Apathetic —Description: "What? I'm sorry that I've heard that sob story before."
Hachiro has developed an unenthusiastic approach to most conversations or encounters with others. While this tends to lend to calmness when a situation is not going according to plan. If you are looking for someone to shed a tear or be kind to you, then he is not the man. Though his attitude may change if a person catches his interest.
—Weakness Name: Lack of Trust —Description: "Humans are some of the worst creatures. We would abandon one another for money. Why should I trust someone I just met?"
Needless to say Hachiro has seen some of the nastiest sides of humanity during his time on this earth. Women sold as slaves for a small amount of cash, people tricked and led into a slaughter, or lined up and killed by children whose hearts have turned cold. Human's have a darkness in them, it festers in everyone, and Hachiro has yet to find someone who doesn't.
—Weakness Name: Harsh —Description: "You're whining about such a petty thing!? There are kids who are without shelter, parents, money, and food out there!"
Hachrio seems to have a trigger, and that is when someone complains about something that he deems to be petty in comparison to what he has seen. If someone complains about not having enough money to get a T.V. then he will often fire off a quick scolding, and not sugar coat how he feels. One would be wise to watch their words around him.
—Weakness Name: Arrogant Rich Kids —Description: "You know, I never have liked people like you."
Arrogant rich kid mouthing off nearby and showing off his wealth? Well if he has so much then perhaps he should consider putting it to good use instead of using it on luxury items like the golden watch on his wrist.
—Weakness Name: Gunshots —Description: "Guns are the way of the world. Such efficient killing machines."
Gunshots remind Hachiro of a particular experience when he was on a volunteer mission in Africa. There he watched children use guns on his co-workers, as he traveled through that continent he witnessed some of the same slaughters. He sometimes found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, and witnessed arm exchanges. The massacre of his co-workers and innocent villagers has created a phobia of guns, specifically gunshots.
Soul Bound Weapon: (This is the weapon you'll be able to summon to your hand while in combat. This weapon is special for your character specifically and allows you to fight Shadows without the need of summoning your Persona. This can be anything but a Gun (Or gun related weapon))
Weapon Name: Wanderer's Cry Weapon Description: This is a composite bow that stands about three feet tall taking a little from the height. It has a draw length of about 29 inches and a draw weight of 55 pounds. It has a sight window that allows for the archer to aim his or her shot with greater accuracy. It also has a silence (and many of the nifty tools displayed in the picture) allowing a hunter to dampen the noise his shot makes. Beyond that it operates much like a normal bow does, besides the fact that it has more power, accuracy, and speed than a wooden bow would. Weapon Image:

The Background
History:
Hachiro was born in poverty, his father and mother managed to scrap enough together, granted through less legitimate ways on some occasions, to provide and manage to send their son to school. Though when he was old enough Hachiro received a work permit and began to work a part-time job to help his parents make ends meet. Fortunately, beside the occasional illegal job, his family was fairly respectable. Hachiro's neighbors on the other hand were less respectable. Some were doing drugs like heroin, or dealing said drugs to others. Some were drunks that would stumble around at night, unable to cope with their loss or addiction. Others hired prostitutes with what little money they had. His parents tried to shield him, but sometimes you can't shield your child from the hardships around them. His most memorable experience was when he went to a friend's house only to find his friend's father in the kitchen dead with a needle in his hand. He had died of an overdose, and his friend had to cope with that loss to.
Two years after he graduated from high school, he decided to go on a volunteer humanity mission to Africa. He always had an interest in other languages and cultures, and thought what better way to learn then to go there and experience them. He was his own man now, and while his parents were sad to see him move out, he knew it would better if they had one less mouth to feed. The trip would take an entire year, and they would travel the continent going to poverty hotspots to help those in need. Hachrio was happy that he was making a difference in these people's lives. Granted, all that soon changed on one of the last visits. A guerrilla group attacked the village that Hachiro's group was working at. The leader saw the foreigners to be a source of profit, and decided to take them as ransom. It was here that Hachiro saw the darkness in the human heart that was driven by greed. Some of the members of his group tried to run, but they were gunned down. Those that didn't die from the initial escape, were used as target practice for child soldiers. Hachiro was lucky enough or smart enough to be put into such situations, though that didn't stop his captors from striking him with the occasional object or giving him less food while he was searching for blood diamonds.
Eventually he was rescued by the local army, and released after receiving some medical treatment. He was offered a ride back to his home country, but he turned it down and decided that he would wander the world a bit doing odd jobs or the occasional crime. He wanted to see if what he went through was the exception and not the rule. He was sadly mistaken as he saw lesser or greater versions of the same darkness in the human heart on the news or in alley ways. Murder, rape, drug dealing, human trafficking, you name it, Hachiro saw it. For whatever reason he began to believe that people turned to this because they were unable to overcome the hardships they faced, therefore to prevent this from happening he began to challenge people to face their hardships. Along with the apathetic attitude he developed on his travels he comes off arrogant or uncaring of others troubles. The only thing he seems to care about is their ability to overcome these hardships. Whether or not his belief about hardships and the darkness in the human heart holds any water is yet to be proven. For all he knows, he could be clenching to a false belief.
