Appearance:
Sporting the look of a usual older teen, standing at roughly 5'7 (175 cm), and weighing 158 Pounds (72 kg), one would say Nea should blend in with his fellow mates well. However, even though he seems like a typical laid-back teen, there are a few features in his visage that make him stand out. The most notable would be his ears, that are slightly pointed for an unknown genetical reason. And the second, sort of special trait, are his sharp looking canine teeth, which tend to be quite the surprise when revealed. Those, are not natural though, as Nea had them sharpened surgically a few years ago, much to his parents' displeasure. The rest of him more or less fits the norms, his build slightly muscular, but still lean, with the muscles not really showing unless one would look very closely. He has messy dark blue hair and eyes of the same color, although they sometimes seem almost black. His cheery attitude pokes out a lot, and his emotions show on his face quite clearly, often being caught up in a wide happy or excited grin.

When it comes to a get up, he's not very choosy, but prefers to wear clothing that allows him to move quickly and efficiently, not being the type to stand still. Even with that, he sort of enjoys wearing a school type uniform, albeit in his own style, aka not buttoned up and overally messy. His most used color variants are black and blue, but he won't shy away from other colors either, however he tends to pick colors that complement each other rather than just a random mesh up, which shows he has some sense of fashion, even though he usually looks like a messy brat. Sometimes he wears random accessories, like a chain attached to his pants' pocket, just to seem cooler, so whatever he'd choose would definitely not be anything girly. He's definitely not a classy guy, and even though he can be goaded into wearing a proper uniform or anything of the like, he's entirely convinced that it doesn't suit him at all.

There is a small change after he recives his Persona. When it gets summoned, it cloaks Nea in bluish flames, making it look as if various parts of his body and weapon were ablaze. However, it holds no actual effect beyond being fancy, and possibly decieveing Nea's opponents in regards to his abilities, as his Persona is sort of a trickster. He also has the ability to make the flames appear on his own, without summoning his Persona when he draws his soulbound weapon, but that one is a choice and he doesn't have to do so in that case.

~Tsume~

Nea has a male arctic fox named Tsume that he keeps as a pet. It's about as big as a medium sized dog, and its fur is white as snow, with very dark gray, almost black eyes. He got it as a parting gift when he was younger, from a local zoo where he was helping out, until he had to move to a different place, and thus quit his job. He had raised it from the time it was a little cub, and it is unwaveringly loyal to him. Tsume almost always follows Nea around, trotting after him wherever he goes, unless he is told not to. He listens to Nea's every word, and obeys him happily. Generally, he is quite the friendly fox that likes the company of humans, and will not attack anyone unless Nea is in danger or tells him to do so.

Personality:

At a casual glance, Nea seems like a cheerful guy, that loves going about and having fun in any way possible. Which for the biggest part is true. In most cases, he would be the one in a group to always keep positive and tell everyone that it'll be allright even if the situation seems grim. One would say that he's an optimist, however it's not really that simple. He believes that if we do not give up, we can change the situation in our favor, no matter how impossible it seems, that we should fight for what we want, even if it appears as an unreachable goal. Even if we do not have claws and fangs like animals do, we can still fight and defend ourselves, and we shouldn't forget that. That's why he always keeps pushing forward, no matter how many obstacles he has to face. It's practically a philosophy he lives by. A motto of a sort.

He has developed a strong fighting spirit, and is always the one to accept a challenge, or butt heads with someone, of course in his mind he does it in a positive way, even though it might not always end up in the same manner. He loves to see people take their chances at life, instead of sulking around in depression, and will try to inspire others to find their courage if they appear to lack a resolve. However, he can be quite brash in his ways, stunning others by being way too outgoing and not having a problem to talk about anything, even touchy or embarassing stuff. He doesn't shy away from contact with anyone, and is quite a wild one. Always on the move and doing something, be it making small talk or engaging in a mock fight with a friend.

With his attitude, he rarely gets insulted or angry, and takes most comments jokingly. The only things that can manage to irritate him are when someone calls him by his last name, which he greatly dislikes (and he practically never fails to mention that he doesn't want to be adressed by it when introducing himself) or talks badly about animals. He is quite the animal lover, and he loves spending his time in nature playing even with wild animals, such as wolves. He thinks of them as great friends, and is adamant in his views that they should be acknowledged too. Afterall, humans evolved from other animals, so there are things in common. He will always go out of his way when an animal is involved, and is not ashamed to admit so, being quite the honest person. He doesn't think that lies are a good way to get close to people, and therefore, he usually chooses to tell the truth, unless the situation is dire enough to require a little white lie. Living with wearing a mask of lies is not living at all in his opinion, and he goes by that a lot.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Description:
Nea is very efficient when it comes to dealing with animals. When he was young he spent a lot of time with them, and has developed a sort of connection to them. He can easily go around even dangerous ones, such as lions without getting harmed and will instead play with them as if they were just cuddly kittens. He can even convince them to help him out or do a favor for him. This is mostly seen with his pet fox Tsume, who obeys his every word.

—Description:
With his frequent trips to the nature, and hanging out with his animal friends, Nea had eventually trained himself up to be able to keep up with them, thus he is quite the adept runner, and can move pretty fast when needed.

—Description:
Given his independent streak, Nea always wanted to be strong enough to stand up for himself, and he frequently works out, and sometimes even brawls with animals to keep himself in shape. Even if it doesn't show on his physique much, he has quite the power in his body, and can perform many feats others would have found hard with ease. One wouldn't want to get punched in the face either, as it would hurt a lot.

—Description:
As Nea believes everyone should make their stand, he is quite hard to take down mentally. It might appear as stubborness to those that don't know him well, but he just wants to show that one can get what they want by trying hard enough. Thus, it is hard to make him submit to anything, if he doesn't agree to it, and will not allow himself to be controlled by someone else's words.

—Description:
Nea has quite the eye for detail, and is good at noticing the little things others often overlook, even though he doesn't always bring it up. This allows him to see through camouflages much easier, and pinpoint others' missteps much quicker. He is also quite good at reading people's faces, and seeing the subtle changes in their expressions, altho he is not always too accurate at guessing their meaning.

Nea pretty much goes with the flow of life, and while he loves to seize his opportunities, he tends to be way too positive about things. He often takes dangerous situations lightly, which can bite him in the butt later, when he gets into a mess that is not as easy to get out of as he originally 'thought'.

—Weakness Name: No Brakes
—Description:
When he does something, he goes at it head on, not thinking about consequences of his actions, until he is about midway in his 'plan', whatever it is. Which is when he starts to realize that maybe, just maybe he should have given it a run through in his head first. It can easily cause him to worry over his strategy while he's in a fight, pissy at himself for not thinking in advance.

—Weakness Name: Pay with Pain
—Description:
He tends to be a little careless with his physical strenght, and often overdoes it, getting too caught up in a fist fight, or just a vigorous work out, which can pretty much leave him with sore and painfull muscles for a few days. It hurts like hell, and yet he still forgets to tone his output down all the time.

—Weakness Name: Speak the Mind
—Description:
Nea doesn't particularly put much thought into what he says either, and usually doesn't take in mind that what he's going to say could offend the opposing person, or generally worsen the situation he's in. He likes to say exactly what he has on his mind, whatever the consequences. Gets in the way when he's supposed to play pretend, as it is common for him to mess up by saying the wrong thing.

—Description:
Nea is very obviously attached to animals, and can get quite down and unhappy when he sees or hears about something bad happening to them. It is one of the few things that can provoke him to act completely irrationally, and make a total mess of everything, not listening to reason at all.

The Background
History: Nea lived a fairly normal life for a kid in a smaller city, his parents being responsible and attentive. He grew up similarly to his peers, and started to have different hobbies only later on in his life. It started at the point when he got a little kitten as a present for his birthday, as an 8 year old. It was a cute little thing that loved to play, and he got attached to it very much, not wanting to leave its side at all, only doing so reluctantly when it was school time. It could be said, that that was the time when his interest in other life forms started. He began going to the zoo and similar places, to see other animals, wondering if they were similarly awesome as his cat. Finding out that it was enjoyable, he started going to the nearby forest when he went out, instead of playing with his friends from school. His parents never really found out, and were quite surprised when he started taking on unusual interests and even took a part time job at the local zoo. But they let him be, as he seemed happy the way he was, and he was getting a lot of praise from his employers too. He was really sad for a month when his cat died four years after he got it, and that was when he adopted his resolve to fight for his future no matter what. He wanted to be able to make his life the way he chose, and not just watch on as it went by. He worked hard during his next few years, both at his job, and on his own skills and strenght, until the time he turned 16, when his parents got an offer for a job in a different place, and they chose to move away. That was when he got his pet fox Tsume, as the guys at the zoo knew that if someone was to take good care of it, it'd be Nea. With that, he left off, and lived another two years in a different place, however he was having troubles adapting, as there wasn't much opportunity for his interests, and thus when he got old enough to live on his own, he decided to go off again, hoping to settle somewhere for a longer period of time. Just before he left, he had his front teeth altered to look like canines for unknown reasons. So far, he hasn't told anyone why he did it, but most people assume he just wanted to look cool.
