"Well, it's a bit more complex than that." Selenus would begin, matter-of-factly. "A Papillon Heart requires two Plumes OF Dusk the same way a human brain requires two hemispheres: One of them just doesn't have the same effect. One takes care of handling the body, and the other takes care of handling the mind. You'd be a robot yourself if you didn't have a second himsphere, only following the orders and code of your primal animal instincts." Frog should honestly be grateful that he was capable of making choice and having opinions, it was only less of 0.000000001% of life on Planet Earth that carried that capability, and it wasn't exactly a choice of his to be born with intelligent thinking. "No, I'm not a mind-reader, you're just easy to read." He chuckled, thinking he'd finally gotten the hang of harmless back-and-forth.

"Oh, does somebody have self-esteem problems?" It was honestly a bit of a shicker for the robot wolf. "If there was one thing I thought indisputable about you, it would've been your confidence. Honestly, I was kinda surprised you were unable to hook up with that other dinner guest that you very clearly had sexual tensions with." Selenus didn't actually detect any sexual tensions, he was just being a bit of an ass. "In all seriousness though, I don't think you're annoying, just a bit excentric."

"Yada-yada. This is worse than geography, but since it's somewhat parallel to biology, I'll grant you a pass." Frog feigned disinterest at Selenus's explanation of the Papillon Heart and how it worked, even going as far as to compare it to a human brain, and, as much as Frog always enjoyed pretending to be super smart, he didn't wanna accidentally get a couple of facts wrong because he was sure the supercomputer with feelings such as Selenus would definitely not give him a moments repraise afterwards. And he was not yet ready for a robotic canine to start giving him actual shit. He smirked at the bot's comment about being easy to read. "Well, you got that right." He chuckled. "I admit it. I'm easy to read. Fine. But I'm still kind of really embarrassed you of all people- oh, why the hell not, of all people would be able to read me, since you're...a robot and all that stuff. Y'know."

Frog raised an eyebrow in annoyance. "How does that mark me as someone with self-esteem problems, eh? I'd say the complete opposite that would also tie in with that little theory about my indisputable confidence. Because I say that I'd hate another Frogerio because of my inherent assertivity. Hah. What're you gonna say to that!? But yeah, thanks, I guess. You're not the first one to tell me I wasn't annoying. All just empty words. Hmph."

"Oh, and what the hell is this about me having sexual tension with another 'dinner guest'?" Was he talking about Brit? Frog's face imediately turned bright red with the very thought about it. "Y-you don't even know what you're talking about!"

"...Thank you, Frog. That means a lot to me." Selenus was honestly grateful that Frogerio decided to call him a "person". Gabe hade done something similar this morning, but he'd never really rejected his intelligence, which is why Frogerio saying it felt like more of a step forward. "Eh, don't get too caught up about it. I may be fully intelligent, but my ind is connected to a machine with a visor and a CPU, so I can't not forget anything or not notice something that's in my line of sight. It's... actually, slightly overwhelming sometimes." Selenus chimed. It wouldn't be the first time he's been called perceptive, though in reality it wasn't him that was the perceptive one, it was the machine he was bound to. "At any rate, I'm the one person you should've most expected to be read by."

"...I was joking, but thank you for confirming my suspicions." Hook, line and sinker. The bait had been taken. "So who is she, huh? Classmate of yours? Girlfriend?" For now he'd let it go after recieving a reply from Frog; he didn't want to find out how much it took to really piss him off. As the two progressed further through the alleyways and blind spots, Selenus would notice that they were reaching the edge of the Backlight District. Seeing a taxi stop on the other side of the road from the alleyway in which they stood, Selenus stopped in his tracks. "Alright, this is as far as I can go. There's a taxi stop on the other side of the road, you should use a cab to take the kibble bags the rest of the way. Here..." Selenus used his tail to open up a small compartment under his hip, revealing a small stash of VC. "How much do you think the trip home will cost you? I can give you the money."

"U-uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhm...............what exactly is it that I've said that means a lot to you..?" Frog looked at the robotic beast in confusion. He didn't think he'd said anything we-oh god no. Great, Frogerio, you called the damn thing a person. Kudos. Applause. Hooray for you. Just...what was he thinking!? And now he was faced with Selenus's happiness regarding the fact. He was even getting all squirmy and warm inside himself. There was no turning back now. Only turning away from Selenus to blush away from the thing's 'perceptive' view. "Well, y'know, because emotions are fickle things...so you've gotta have a good grasp at them to be able to read them, regardless of your perception..." He rushed his words, sticking his hands into his pockets as they kept creeping along jagged alleyways.

His blush only grew larger as Selenus kept prodding on about Brit and him and their relationship. N-not that they had a relationship. N-no way. Frog shook his head. "If I told you who she was, I'd be compromising her security. Hmph. So don't ask." In truth, he wanted to just avoid the question at hand. When they reached the endline for Selenus and the thing offered money, Frog shook his head even harder. "Don't give me money, I can handle myself. You've already done enough anyways, so you're just imposing on me this way. I'm grateful enough you helped carry the kibble." Honestly, he wasn't looking forward to riding in a taxi, but he didn't seem to have a choice.

Selenus mentally shrugged. "Alright, suit yourself. I can't go any further here, so if you'll excuse me I'll be getting back to my own business. Take care." And unless he was stopped, Selenus would once again disappear into the shadows.
