A little update

As you all can now see, Shadow Selves are now a class here for characters. Originally we had no intention on making Shadows playable, and they were only going to be NPCs. But Term pitched the idea and I thought it was rather interesting. The class isn't officially up and running as of yet, but we are accepting people who wish to try it out. Honestly, we'll only be taking about three people for it. Maybe four, who knows. But they need to be active and people we know will be able to find the kinks of the new class so we can make sure they are properly balanced with the rest of the site. I suppose if you're interested testing them out, you can contact Term Paper and ask him, or you can send me a PM and I'll forward it his way. Other than that, that's about it.

Alright Commoners, I've noticed things have been so hard for you folks around here. So I'll be making things abit easier.

There will now be another way of earning stat points, and it's as simple as roleplaying. For every two social links you form with someone, you will earn four stat points for one of your stats of your choice. For topics where you form more than one social link in it, it won't count towards this (unless it's Judgement or something). Meaning you need to have a one on one, full encounter, for that social link to count towards your potential semi-rank up.

You will add the stat points on your Persona Profile where we can keep a solid check on it. Any questions? Ask me. Also this is starting just now, so that means everything you have so far does not count. I'm not that nice.

An update to the last update. These stat points can be put in HP, SP, or LK. Once again we're nice, but not that nice. You'll have to build up hitting power the good ol fashion way. Term Paper has told me to pass this message along. It is also now every three social links you form with a character, meaning you're going to have to work hard for it. Ultimately this means I will be grading Social Link topics alittle harder if you want it to count towards your stat points you can potentially earn. So there's the good and bad news of this. Anywho, carry on.

Alright so after every third social link you have with one of your social partners you'll have a chance of earning four stat points. Instead of it just being for HP SP and LK, it'll be for all your stats. HOWEVER, Philemon (when approving the third social link) will use a randomnizer to determine which stat gets the four points. Why am I doing this? Well, because I'm a jerk <3

Term Paper

It's official. We're changing seasons! Winter is coming over and Spring is here. So this also means the third years are even closer to graduation. The official date from this moment forward is March 20th in rp time. That's basically it.

This was supposed to be put in with Nyarlathotep's update on the stat upgrade regarding Social Links. Judgement DOES NOT count towards it. So if you get multiple social links in a topic because of the Judgement Arcana, you will either need to only accept one of the social links or accept them all and not get the stat boost later for having three social link topics with a specific other. This is clarification after it was brought to my attention.

Two updates. One I forgot to make awhile ago but Term reminded me.

After your characters leave Limbo, you will need to wait 72 hours before being able to re-enter the supernatural world. This is because your body needs rest, as the properties of that world put much more strain on humans than the real world. We are following the tradition of P3 and P4 with this aspect.

For Velvet Attendants:

On your Persona Compendium Profile, make a list of people who have agreed to be your Attendant's guest. These will be the people you can take skills from when you link with them. If they are under another Attendant's list or they refuse to give you a skill after you link, you can not copy their skill. It has to be voluntary, you are not skill thieves.

A few new updates with one being rather big.

1. The item "Vest of Victory" is getting a serious nerf. No longer will it add 50 points to your ppstr stat or Pmstr stat.

The reason I am doing this is because you're buying this item, using it to beef up that one stat which makes the enemies stronger aswell, but it leaves the rest of your stats behind, making the battles harder on yourself.

So instead, it will be lowered down to only a mere 15 points, however you may add these points into HP, SP, PPstr, PMstr, DX, or Lck. You'd have to choose which stat the points would fall under. Also the price on this item will also be dropped significantly, only costing 10,000 Vc in the Velvet Commodities instead of the 25,000 it is now.

Those who bought this item at full price will be refunded the money they spent on it. Link me to the topic you purchased it from in an PM, and I will go to that topic and add the funds back.

2. Tertrakarn and it's magic cousin Marakarn will now only be able to be used on one party member at a time. This means once you use it, it will only cover one person in your party, and not every single person like in P3. It is going towards the more P4 route.

3. Guns are going to be allowed for any type of character class if crafted by a Nihil soul. ASSW will be able to start with them. Instead of it being a revolver only, like before, it can be anything (don't be stupid though, something that makes SENSE) but will be designated only to PvS combat against Shadows/etc. For PvP fights, we'll still be sticking to just the revolver and a small deduction to damage if you MUST have a firearm.

All Equip items are now applicable in PvP. Even equip items that previously were not. This is effective immediately.

New Arcana was added to the site list. They will be available for the following events after the Ueitawa Limbo scenario.

New Ailment skills are coming to the Persona skill list soon. Expect them today or tomorrow.

It is now possible to social link with NPCs. I will be making the topic for sign ups for this soon, so keep an eye out. You can see their Arcanas under vital information.

New Turn Order Rule:

So its come to our attention that we really don't have any rules when it comes to turn order in combat. So, let's make one now.

In PvS. Turn order will be determined the first post of combat. Meaning if you posted first in combat, then you'll be the first to post all following times.

Now however! There are moments when someone can post before you, such as taking an attack for you. But that will only be for that specific turn, and it will all go back to normal unless they decide to take another hit for you, and so on.

If you are downed in combat and a revival bead is used on you after your turn is passed, then you'll have to wait until the next round of posting to go.

Thus meaning if Player A is downed and revived within the same turn but after they'd normally make their turn, you'd have to wait until the next turn (after the opponents) to attack.

This does up the difficulty alittle, but also makes you use strategy during combat. Make sure you choose your line up and who posts before who carefully, cause it can make or break a battle.

This will be effective immediately after all current battles end.

As you've probably seen, a few areas have been taken by Limbo. If you live in one of these areas, you will need a topic from that area attempting to escape to safety. If you do not have a Persona and you're stuck in that area, you will still be able to move. You won't be like the Lost like all the other people there. I'd recommend getting a user to come get you though. Even though you will awaken during your escape regardless. But just letting you know.

To add to the last message, I'd also like to add the Tokonosu region will be getting replaced with a side event area named the "Time Castle".

It will act the same way as the Tokonosu area, but will have stronger story elements. This event takes place in a zone where all characters from all the stories on our site can come together. From deceased characters, to demon summoners; anyone. Time Castle is a dungeon that goes by floors, and each floor has a boss that you must defeat to move onto the next floor. While you're going through a floor you cannot switch characters, however you can join late.

When you join this side event, you are given a Secondary Arcana and another Persona (your stats are reverted to how they would be when you just are starting). This secondary Persona will only be able to be used during the Time Castle (however there will be items you can grab so you can summon your main Persona from the main story aswell temporarily). Between each floor will be a social floor where you can form social links with these fellow players that are traversing the Time Castle. Between social floors you can switch which of your characters you want to use (can't use multiple at once.) You can join and drop out whenever you want. However for ease, only a team of five can tackle a floor at a time (unless everyone agrees they are willing to sit through a long wait for everyone to post). Also if you're going to join, I don't ask you be very active but atleast keep people in the loop if you're not going to be posting on time. It's imperative you all cooperate and work together to reach the top of this strange castle.

The time castle will have its own area for Secondary Persona templates. However I implore you to choose a secondary arcana you like, because it will be canon for your character for story purposes later. The new Arcana that were added to the lists can also be used in this event.

Since this area is purely taking place in another area entirely where Time doesn't exist, it doesn't matter what character type you are, you all can work together without any worry of your god denying you of your Persona.
