"Callie! Are you alri-" 8D would be dumb struck by the reflected attack, enough to barely take note that Zavie managed to tame one of the fluffy bats. Callie was down and looked really hurt, luckily she was able to avoid the second attack... That would have done her in for sure,but she still looked pretty banged up. 8D wasted no time in going to her side, but was stopped in his tracks almost instantly by Callie's sudden change... Wh-What was this? "C-Callie?"

A-Oh.... OH my... OH MY! AHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! What is this!? OH dear Callie I knew you were capable of glory but this? This horrendous wanton destruction! Ehehehehe! This demon you carry is... It's magnificent! Oh I wonder if dear Zavie's little pet can do the same... It would only make sense. This changes things, oh yes this changes many many things.- Grins couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he watched Callie slice the two remaining bats in twain-This could work- As she carried on with her game he felt something inside him twitch- OH! You like that to Gangy? Well this is just peachy! At last we agree on something....- Grins recoiled slightly as Callie turned her attention on the second bat -My oh my! The boy would happily give the bat his medicine. He felt somewhat bad giving it away... But he really didn't need it with his powers and Callie and Grind by his side! Plus, to be honest, the bats didn't seem too strong... The medicine would probably treat the bat better than him or his friends.

The boy would smile as the bat flew too his side, though, when he turned back to the battle, the boy wasn't prepared for what he witnessed. He had missed Callie getting hit... But if that was all, he wouldn't be this terrified. What he saw, though, was his friend tearing the remaining two bats to shreds. The boy would yell for her to stop, but by then he was too late. What had gotten into her? It was awful!

"Vassal, hurry. There is something terribly wrong with your ally. Her weapon has lost control of his vassal!" Proxy would state in a rushed tone of voice. The boy didn't know what to do. It was terrifying to see his friend this way. He'd take a step back, but only for his new bat friend to bop him on the back of the head.

"I didn't join ya for ya to just wimp out on me! C'mon, pal! We can save your little friend! Squee squee!" the bat would say with a toothy grin. The boy would nod his head. He was still terrified... But he still had to make sure Callie was okay! He promised to keep her safe, and he'd do just that.

Though, regardless... Something felt terribly off about Grins. Was he not concerned about her? Even the girl's shadow was worried for her safety. This troubled the boy greatly... Was he trustworthy... Was he really their friend? Was he... Using them...? It felt like that in that moment. Making a joke about a close friend when she was clearly not herself. What was wrong with him...?

"H-huh...?" After her strike against the second bat had connected, Callie felt a sudden surge of life enter her as she felt control of her body come back. A strange sensation flew over her as her body shifted back to its original state and she fell to her knees. "W-woah... W-what in the... What just happened?" She'd shake her head to try to bring herself to her senses before dusting herself off as Terra explained everything to her in her head, tucking away her tail and pulling her hood back over her head as he spoke. Luckily it seemed Telos had been preoccupied and hadn't really noticed what was going on. Not that she herself really knew what just happened, in f-"ACCKKK!"

A sudden blow launched Callie across the arcade, leaving her to tumble in pain as she landed. Everything was a blur of bright colours and patches of black. Her ears were ringing and just as she tried to lift what small part of strength she had left up off of the ground, coughing up the dust that had flown into the air as she landed before another blow took her breath away entirely. "T-th-this game... I-isn't fu-fun... A-anymore..." Her words were too quiet for anyone to have heard as she finally passed out.

The smile on 8D's face quickly faded as Callie hit the ground, completely ignoring the blows his body seemed to take. Her body made a sickening thud as it landed, the sound reverberated through 8D's metal skull for a moment before he dropped his hammer and approached where Callie fell. To those paying attention, all would seem to stop for a moment, all sound dying out quickly, only to be replaced by 8D's booming footsteps. It took him only a moment to reach where Callie lay. He regarded her for a moment with blank eyes before kneeling down beside her."Fanged one... Take this..." Seemingly from nowhere 8D produced a small bead and pressed it against Callie's forehead, it shown for a moment before shattering, breathing life back into the fallen fox. As her breath returned to her he would pull her head into his lap and gently stroke her hair, scratching behind her ears gently... just the way she likes...

"Shhhh... Everything is all right... You're ok..." He would say with an uncharacteristically somber voice"Trapped one... Heal us please, Unlisted, cast another Bufo, you still have enough SP for a few more casts, after this round we will have time to use items..." No mirth would enter 8D's voice as he held Callie.

The boy breathed in sharply, the attack hurt horrendously, and it knocked him back a good bit. The gargoyle was fast, and it had taken its revenge on the loss of the bat friends. He couldn't really blame him for acting out the way he did... Those poor bats weren't strong in the slightest, and if not for Banter's ability to fly, there would be no way he would've survived the attack that was launched at him.

It took the boy to realize that a sharp scream had been produced though. He was so preoccupied with making sure he didn't get hit more than once, and making sure it wasn't a lethal attack, that he hadn't noticed the attacks the gargoyle had landed on Callie. When the boy saw her land almost lifelessly after the second attack, the boy would stare wide eyed. He couldn't believe what he saw.

He'd stand there for a moment before Proxy registered the commands Grins had given him. He didn't even quite understand what the name he had been given meant. But he knew Callie needed his help. And he promised to keep her safe and to make sure they'd stay together. With a determined nod of his head, he'd rush over in front of them, a healing aura pulsing out of his body.

"I will keep you safe! No matter what the cost!"

"Squee squee! Let's do it then, Zavs!"

At that moment, Telos snapped out of it with the force of the blow that hit him. He saw the little girl fall, then be revived, and that set him off like nothing else.
She should not have fallen, he should have.
And it burned him like nothing else.
He tried to activate THAT maneuver, powered by a sheer rage, but all he got was the same message that he had gotten before:
ACCESS DENIED. AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED TO ACTIVATE OM SYSTEM.
"Then I guess i'll have to do it myself. DEMON!" He yelled at the gargoyle.
"Pick a god and pray." He said to it in a then calm tone, but with all the force behind it, and fury blazing in his eyes, then striking with Kopaka Nuva's blade as hard as he could.

"Mmm...?" The girl would open her eyes slightly and look around confused. She could hear familiar voices surround her, getting louder and clearer as her wounds weakened. "W-what happened?" Still slightly dazed, Callie would look around her surrounding area slowly remembering where she was and what it was she was doing here. Finally her gaze would fall on 8D who she just noticed was holding her and petting her hair. She'd smile weakly up at him as she felt strong enough to lift herself back off the ground and gave both Grins and Zavie a hug. "Thanks guys... You're the best."

"D-don't scare me like that again..." Terra would say to himself, he wasn't at all enjoying the past few minutes... Yet at least his little girl seemed under control now.

Locking eyes with the beast that was trying to ruin her no death run, Callie would shake slightly, honestly quite scared of what could of happened if her friends weren't around to save her. She really didn't want to get near that thing again if she could help it... Although... Then she remembered something! Now she had never actually tried doing this before, yet it seemed as if the big ugly bat thing was stunned for some reason so now would be the best time to test it out. Plus it totally wasn't just so she didn't have to get near that thing again. Pulling the Delicate Delight out from its holster, Callie would do her best to aim.

"Hmph.... You're welcome Callie." 8D would sigh in a contented voice as Callie regained her footing and continued the attack. He would turn to the Cat Prince and smile warmly to him."Thank you Zavie... Now let's finish this shall we?" Grins stood and cracked his neck before summoning Crusader to his side.

"Alright Crusader, lests see if we can finish this meany off and head for the big boss!... Hey that rymed!" Grins chuckled to himself as the tiny rabbit at his side looked on in disbelief.

"No it didn't boss! Off and Boss don't rhyme at all!" cryed the rabbit in protest.

"Y-yeah they do! It's a slant rhyme! Gah Just go poke the dang thing!" Scolded 8D, steam coming out of his ears.
