| Emporium Stretch:
The Emporium Stretch is an area run by players, and contains a list of shops run by the players in Endymion. It is possible for any person to run a shop, however they must have a strength that caters to being an owner of a shop. Each shop should provide a service to the people. This means each shop should be able to raise one's social quality, however; it should only focus on raising one Social Quality and not multiple. You may also sell unique items at your shop. Shops can only be open during a certain time of day, and not 24 hours. **Your shop should be completely different than shops already existing. This includes NPC shops.**
Running your Business:
Want to be successful? Well you better bring something to the table others have not. Being a shop owner isn't too demanding, but if you want to make any sort of profit it's going to need to grow. Shops are categorized by ranks, and there are a total of four ranks. The lowest rank is 4, while the highest is 1. This will determine just how much your shop raises Social Qualities and how powerful the items you create can be. The only way to raise your shop's rank is by having customers buy your product, and sending the funds made to the Government to allow your services to grow.
Rank 1: The Highest Rank of a shop. Shops that are rank 1 can raise one's specific Social Quality by 8 points when spending time there. The items you can sell at this level rivals items with the same potency of Soma - Megidolaon Gem - Balm of Life - Etc. Can hold x20 of each item.
Rank 2: The Second Highest rank of a shop. Shops that are rank 2 can raise one's specific Social Quality by 6 points when spending time there. The items you can sell at this level rivals items with the same potency of a Bead - Precious Egg - Dekaja Gem - etc. Can hold x15 of each item.
Rank 3: The Third rank of a shop. Shops that are rank 3 can raise one's specific Social Quality by 4 points when spending time there. The items you can sell at this level rivals items with the same potency as Revival Bead - Chewing Soul - Medical Power - Fierce Sutra - Agilao Gem - etc. Can hold x10 of each item.
Rank 4: The lowest level of shop where everyone starts. Shops that are rank 4 can raise one's specific Social Quality by 2 points when spending time there. The items you can sell at this level rivals items with the same potency as Medicine - Snuff Soul - Dis-Poison - etc. Can hold x5 of each item.
To upgrade your shop, you will need to donate a percentage of your profit to the Government.
Rank 4 to Rank 3 - Government needs 15,000 VC made from your shop's services.
Rank 3 - Rank 2 - Government needs an additional 50,000 VC made from your shop's services.
Rank 2 - Rank 1 - Government needs an additional 150,000 VC made from your shop's services.
This is not something that's to be maxed out in a day, as you can see. However, if you create creative items that are in high demand, you may skyrocket amongst your competition. Also, it's worth noting that you cannot donate your own personal VC to ranking up your shop. But must be through the profit you made through your own business. These prices are subject to change on the state of the city // balancing. The money made in your shop is yours, and you can do whatever you wish with it.
Providing your Service:
To provide your service, you're going to need merchandise. However, merchandise does not grow on trees. You're going to have to go out and get the needed materials to sell. These gathering topics will take up time in your day, and you will need to type a minimum of 1000 words to gather supplies for the merchandise in your shop when you're running low. You can only hold an finite number of stocked items at a time, so to replenish this stock this sort of topic is required. You can either use this topic to restock your shelves, or spend 5000 VC of your store's earned profit (or your own) for the shelves to be stocked automatically. When doing these stocking topics, all items in your store will be maxed. The topic must have some coherence in regards to what you're selling and/or providing.
Remember these are human based shops, so they shouldn't be too abnormal or you're breaching into the Velvet Attendant class. Keep it down to Earth to a certain degree. Any questions; ask Xombie or Philemon. - Code:
