A Hungry Lion

It was a cold night in Nadashiki, like always this streets were filled by teens delinquents that are meeting with each other. They where talking with each other, joking, and even other random things. Suddenly the delinquents become more silent when a rather tall figured passed them. It was a tall man, with spiky red hairs. He was wearing a black lather jacket with a fur collar and a white t-shirt inside that. He was also wearing some dark blue jeans and a pair of black militia boots. In his right hand there was a cigarette, he slowly raised his hand and put the cigarette between the lips. He slowly took a deep breath and suck the smoke that the cigarette was making, and slowly released toward his nose. Damn, its him..... A delinquent said as he slowly walked away from the red haired man. So that's Hikuro? His cute.... A girl who was near some delinquents said. But Gabishi ignored all of that and continued to walk straight looking for something to do.

Gabishi look around and just realized that people where walking away from him, like usual. He keep walking while smoking his cigarette to calm down himself a little. Even thought the cigarette didn't give him much effect, it was still helping him to calm his nerves. He really hated when people get scared of him without any reason, but he can't do nothing about it. Suddenly Gabishi yawn since he was totally bored of all that. People look at him like he was an animal, a monster that if he gets angry he will haunt them, but that its only rumors and gossip created by some delinquents that where afraid of him. People where still talking about him but he just ignored all the sounds. Plus he was totally bored since today wasn't his swift at work.

Suddenly a loud noise come not really far from Gabishi, it was his stomach that was giving the signal that was empty. He was hungry now and decided to look for some food around the area. He walked until he spot a sushi bar. He was into the mood to eat some sushi. As he decide to enter the bar a girl scream not really far from him. Suddenly Gabishi ran toward the scream without wasting a minute. In a quite street there was a girl that was surrounded by three guys. Gabishi just walked toward the guy near him and poke to his shoulder. The delinquent quickly turned around WHAT THE ........ . Before the man can even stop his sentence a straight punch landed on his face sanding him in the ground. The other two guys quickly freeze and look at Gabishi F*** its Hikuro!!! The two man grabbed their fallen member and quickly ran away. Gabishi look at the girl, she was wearing the same school uniform as him. The girl got a little scared and slowly bow toward Gabishi before she ran away. Gabishid decided to go back to sushi bar since he was starving.

Walking with his arms placed in his jacket pockets, Naito was making him way to work. Walking the streets of Nadashiki while being well dressed was almost a death wish, but he did it anyway. Naito knew full well that the people of Nadashiki had it out for those on the upper side of society. Their ongoing feud with Nokawia was one of the most dangerous attributes to the Ueitawa region, after all. This was the main reason Naito had specifically chosen to get a job in such a low down area. The turmoil would breed strong followers to his cause in the future. After all, if you wanted true control, you need to control all the masses. Not just the rich, but the poor aswell. Getting to know Nadashiki people was important, and thus getting a job at a cheap sushi bar seemed like an adequate first step to achieving his goals. Naito's thoughts almost were strong enough to keep his attention from the screams several meters ahead. However, they finally breached his attention, and thus the silver haired student would stop and watch the scene ahead. Apparently three wannabe gang bangers were harassing someone. Naito was used to seeing such a thing in Nadashiki, and thus was ready to walk around the scene. However, a red haired student would arrive on the scene and apparently save the girl from whatever sort of foul deeds the three fools had planned for her. When they ran away, they ran right pass Naito. The silver haired perfectionist wouldn't even blink their way. Instead, he looked towards the red haired male who had just saved the female. "Interesting to say the least. Apparently there are those in Nadashiki that aren't entirely useless to society." Naito spoke out loud, but no one was really paying attention to his words after such an event.

Either way, the silver haired boy would start his advanced towards the one called "Hikuro." It looked like the guy was about to head into the Sushi bar, which conveniently was Naito's current destination, so perhaps it was fate that they would meet this day. The boy would follow Hikuro through the doors of the establishment before raising a hand and clearing his throat to get his attention. "Hikuro, was it?" Naito spoke with a blunt tone as he crossed his arms across his chest and glared at the red head. "I am Tsurinai Naito. I believe you attend Kizuna Academy aswell? That was a foolish, yet brave thing you did for that young woman out there. I half expected you to join in the fray and have your way with her aswell." Naito's tone was slightly condescending, but he was interested in the student before him. "Why did you help her?"

Gabishi just entered the sushi bar and searched for an empty seat. Some of the people got scared of him, like usual. He was pretty femouse around there, since he caused a lot of trouble around there. Gabishi quickly spotted an empty chair that was facing toward the sushi bar. When he was about walking at the empty spot, a man behind Gabishi called him by his cursed name. Gabishi slowly turned around with no expression on his face, and look at the man. The man was a little shorter than Gabishi, and have long silver hair. Something strange caught Gabishi eyes, this man was wearing some fancy clothes. That means that the silver haired guy wasn't from around here. Naito? Hmm.... Gabishi said after hearing that name, he dosn't really remember the name of people who aren't interesting. Naito also mentioned about Kizuna Academy, the school that Gabishi is going, or he was since this days he skipped a lot of classes just because he was bored. Many people that where in the Sushi bar were suprised hearing that, almost no one knew that he was still a high school kid. Gabishi decided to ignore him and walked towards the empty chair until Naito mentioned something else. Naito mentioned that Gabishi was a fool but a brave person. Naito also mentioned that he was thinking that Gabishi was going to join them into doing such bad things to a girl. Hearing that Gabishi quickly stopped and turned his head to Naito, there was anger in Gabishi's eyes. He was compared at the same as those delinquents. Some of the people in the sushi bar decided to quickly pay and to leave the sushi bar, since they got scared of the situation. Gabishi got a little angry about it I'm not the same as those punks!! Gabishi said with an angry tone before he grabbed the empty chair and sit down.

Gabishi took out a pack of cigarettes and a silver zippo from his jacket pockets. Than he took out a cigarette from the pack and put in his mouth. He slowly grabbed the zippo and light up the cigarette. Gabishi took a deep breath and slowly released the smoke from his mouth. He was trying to calm down himself because of the silver haired guy. Gabishi grabbed the ashtray and put the ash of the cigarette there. Why not? Gabishi quickly responded to the question that Naito asked to him. That girl needed some help, so i decided to help her.... what if those guys actually rape her? and what if she was someone close to you? Gabishi said while still smoking his cigarette. He wasn't trying to provoke Naito but he wanted that someone else was aware that if don't help someone else, karma will follow you. Gabishi didn't like to ignore other people help, even thought many people don't thank him. Gabishi was still smoking waiting for someone to take his order, hoping no one was afraid of him. Standing his ground, even after the fire headed male gave an angry glare, Naito simply narrowed his eyes. Rumors were correct when they spoke of how Nadashiki residents reacted to simple situations. The way he cleared out the entire Sushi bar with just a display of emotion was impressive. That was power that couldn't be bought. If this guy became an ally to Naito, controlling people in Nadashiki would be that much easier. The user calm expression on Naito's face would now be replaced with a rather sly smile. It was time to test this man's mind to see exactly what type of person he was. "If it was someone I knew who was close to me, they'd be able to handle themselves. It's a dog eat dog world, and the weak get crushed beneath those with the power to claim control. Though, it seems as though you're not a stranger to such power. The way you flaunt it is surprising. I'm sure you have just as many enemies as myself." Though Naito was supposed to be clocking into work at that time, he chose to instead walk over to the same table as Gabishi and take a seat. Pulling out a chair across the table from his own, the silver haired student would take a seat. Folding one leg over the other, and keeping his arms crossed over his chest, he sat with class. With his long bangs covering his left eye, his right would remained focused on the objective at hand. "Either way, Gabishi, I was impressed with your demonstration out there. Seems to me like you're an unsung hero of Nadashiki. I wouldn't know though, since I'm rather new to this region altogether."

"I take it you've been living out here for the majority of your life?" The boy suddenly switched the conversation off the young woman and to something else. His tone of voice was still surprisingly calm, considering the circumstances. If the man were to act hostile towards him, he wasn't know to be a hand to hand fighter. Infact, he saw it as a shameless form of fighting and would take no part in it. Without his blade, he literally lacked the capability of causing harm to another with his own strength.

Gabishi was still waiting for the chef or waiter to come to take his order since he was already starving, especially when he punched the delinquent that was trying to rape the poor girl. He kept smoking his cigarette still trying to calm down after hearing the words of Naito. There was almost no one around the sushi bar thanks to Gabishi that scared some of them. Gabishi put the ash into the ashtray before responding towards Naito. Yeah, its true... we live in a fucked up world. Gabishi look at Naito's eyes. Even thought the way that Naito was speaking kinda pissed off Gabishi, it was all true. They lived in a world that the weak were used by the strong, but that was the circle of life, the circle of life that Gabishi kinda hated. When Naito mentioned that Gabishi wasn't strange to such power he look at his hand. Yes he have the power to change things, but he was using in the wrong way. Gabishi just wanted to help people, but people just feared and hated him. Enemies? Just look around. Almost everyone in Nadashiki want to kill me. Gabishi said as he put the cigarette into his mouth and took a deep breath and slowly released the smoke from his nose. He was just hoping that Naito wasnt disturbed by the smoke that the cigarette caused, but Gabishi can't do anything about it. Gabishi look around and still no sign of a waiter or chief coming to take his order. After a moment he saw Naito coming to sit near him, strangely he wasn't disturbed by the silver haired man. Gabishi look straight at Naito's eyes as he continued to talk about the earlier event. G-good that you enjoyed the little show... Somehow Gabishi become a little embarrassed when Naito said that he was impressed by his strength. Not many people praised him since Gabishi's dad died, and that was a long time ago. A hero? Pffffft.... I already told you, everyone in here are scared of me or want my head off. Gabishi said as he finally put the bunt of the cigarette into the ashtray since the cigarette was finished.

Yeah, i live here since i entered Kizuna Academy and since my grandpa kicked me out from his house Gabishi responded with a smirk on his face, even thought he was strong around there, he was also kicked by an old man. That's why up in the sky there another sky, and below the ground there's another ground. Gabishi took a deep breath before releasing it, since he was bored and no one was taking his order. And what about you? Where you come from? Gabishi asked to Naito, since Naito mentioned that he wasn't from around there.

"Heh... Interesting." Naito thought to himself as he listened to Gabishi's response. For such a person to keep their cool when Naito basically condescended their way of thinking was impressive. Waving a single hand infront of his face to keep the spoke scattered, his eyes would remain focused on the male sitting across from him. "Living in an area where everyone wants your head is rather impressive. Atleast you haven't tucked your tail and ran. You've earned my respect: don't take such a thing lightly." The silver haired student would lean back in his chair and close his eyes in thought. "Before I came to Ueitawa I lived in a region further south called Kiyomi. Unlike Ueitawa, which is basically surrounded by mountains, my hometown can be seen as an area in the center of attention. We even had our own artificial island where most businesses and schools were located. I've got to say, it is much more impressive than Ueitawa." Naito spoke with his usual blunt tone, even though he was basically insulting Gabishi's home. "My parents saw me as a threat, and so they sent me here to make sure I didn't ruin their lives. It's humorous yet sad at the same time." For once, Naito began to chuckle beneath his breath as he did find it slightly funny. "If someone would have told me I would have been sent away because my family saw me as a threat years ago, I would have burned them on a stake for being a witch. Muah hahahah!" The silver haired boy would laugh out loud at his own joke, even though it really wasn't so funny. However, his laughing would suddenly die out, and the calm expression would take back its mantle upon his face.

"Anyway, Gabishi. The only way you're going to get these people to treat you like you want to be treated, while keeping the innocent safe from the corrupt, is by claiming control of this area. If you control what's going on within this territory, you can basically control the crime rate aswell. It's quite simple." Naito crossed his arms over his chest again, as he narrow his eyes and give an intense glare towards Gabishi. "You certainly have the power to accomplish such goals, after all. And perhaps you could get some service aswell, if you had such power. Heh..." The last comment was more directed at himself, since he was the one who was to be taking orders. Yet, he still didn't clock in... What an employee he was. Certainly one of the month.

Since no one was going to take his order Gabishi decided to take out another cigarette from the box that was in front of him and once again put on his mouth. He grabbed the silver zippo that was on the table too and slowly light the cigarette. Slowly he puts the zippo down while listening to Naito. Respect? Maybe it was time to gain something like that Gabishi said with a smile on his face while smoking his cigarette. Gabishi didn't really wanted to gain respect, he just wanted that people stopped to become scared of him, well at least one of the many people wasn't scared of him. Gabishi look at Naito as he talked about a little story of his life. He change his and lay his back to the wall give his side to Naito but his eyes was still looking at him. Gabishi wasn't really mad that his hometown was insulted by someone like him, since even Gabishi didn't care much about that place. At least he have a place to sleep, eat, and educate himself even though he cut a lot of classes when his second year started. Suddenly Gabishi expression changed when Naito continued talking about his life. He can't believe that guy was kicked out from his hometown because his parents where scared of him. Gabishi freeze for a second before coming to reality again. This man was mad, but somehow Gabishi wasn't disturbed by that. Gabishi just smiled while holding his cigarette, so it was true that above the sky there is another sky. Somehow Gabishi was felling that Naito was much more feared than Gabishi, even thought Gabishi just knew Naito some minutes ago.


Claming control of Nadashiki? Gabishi was surprised to hear that. It will take a long time to do so, and especially with everyone that wish you dead. Gabishi said as he put cigarette on his mouth and smoke it, creating some grey smoke around him. The problem is that everyone hates me from normal people, delinquents, some low level yakuza, and even the police since i caused a lot of problem to them. Gabishi made a gun gesture with his hand and pointed to his head. I bet that if i cause much more problem and trying to gain control over them.... they will not hesitate to shot me. Gabishi said making a gun effect sound and smile towards Naito. Even thought they where talking about crazy stuff, Gabishi was slowly having fun. And what if gain all the control? I can't command them.... I'm not a king, i'm much more like a mercenary. Gabishi said as he put the cigarette on his mouth and continued smoking it.

"Tch... The Police, huh?" Naito mumbled to himself as his right eye would twitch. He despised authority figures above his own. This meant the police was automatically on his dislike list, which made them potential hindrances in the future. Slamming a hand down on the table, and standing up from his seat, Naito would flick his hair out of his eyes. "A mercenary, eh? That's perfect, because I have a distinct skill when it comes to commanding others. You could say... I'm your modern aged parallel of an Emperor." The silver haired student would cross his arms over his chest while giving an intense glare towards Gabishi. "I have a proposition for you, Gabishi Ogami! Join me, and I'll help you keep this city maintained." Naito gave a self confident chuckle, as he tapped his temple with his index finger. "With my intelligence, and your own strength, Nadashiki's crime rate could surely be controlled within the year. That's if you listen to my directions, and follow them without hesitation, of course." The boy would cross his arms over his chest and walk to the side of the table. "I plan on controlling all of Ueitawa before I leave at the end of the semester. With your help, taking Nadashiki will be much faster than before. I will not lie, however; violence will come behind the proclamation of dominance. People don't like being controlled, but they're like children when they're free. They need to be nurtured, or they end of making violent cesspools, such as this. Though Nadashiki will always be the foreground for gangsters and violence; it will be a worthy accomplishment if we lower the crime rate, even by alittle. Atleast making it so a young woman can walk home without the threat of being raped." Naito would nod to himself while narrowing his eyes. He knew getting rid of Nadashiki's record was already impossible, and would only be possible if the city was wiped out entirely. That was not on the agenda... He simply wished for control. His final goal wasn't to become the saint of the world and eradicate all the violence in it. No, that would be boring.

Gabishi was still smoking while listening to Naito, he can't believe that a boy as his age was already thinking about things like that. Gabishi took a deep breath and slowly released the smoke from his nose. An emperor? Gabishi was kinda confused when he heard that word. This wasn't more the time of conquest places to become stronger. Gabishi keep his silent while listening to Naito. Naito plan was kinda exaggerating, but he was true. Someone have to change Nadashiki to become more safer for other people and Gabishi can't do it alone. Even thought he like to help others, this time he was the one that need some help from someone else. Gabishi put the ash into the ashtray and keep smoking his cigarette. Controlling all of Ueitawa? Really? Gabishi almost choked on the smoke that was in his lungs. This man was not only smart but crazy too. He still believe that Gabishi was still talking to this man but strangely he wasn't mad at him either, just a little irritaded. Until when Naito mentioned about that thy need violence for the plan. Gabishi quickly snapped and give another angry look towards Naito that was standing. Why violance was always needed for fixing things. But Naito was still right, the crime rate have to be lowered or bad things would happen, or even much worse that happened earlier. Gabishi put the bunt of the cigarette on the ashtray and finally released the last smoke that was still inside of his body. He slowly stand up and look at Naito. Gabishi still don't know if he have to believe him or not. For Gabishi, Naito was talking about crazy things, but that where are all facts. Hehehehehe.... Oh well Naito, i will give you my help.... Gabishi said as he walked passing him But if anything goes wrong, i will hunt you down... Gabishi said that since he was still not sure about Naito true intentions about controlling all of Ueitawa. He needed help to lower the crime rate, but he didn't need to take control of a city.

Naito gave a smirk while beginning his advance towards the exit of the establishment. "Then this is the beginning of a wonderful partnership, Gabishi. Ask the manager here for my number. We'll keep in touch." With that said, the silver haired student would walk out the front door as the manager yelled from behind the counter. "W-wait, Naito-kun! You're supposed to be working right now! W-wait!" The head chef would facepalm as Naito didn't even look back. He had accomplished his goal for that night, and working wasn't on the agenda. The average student would be worried they they'd lose their job, but Tsurinai knew they needed him more than he needed them. With his usual smug self, he was gone from the scene.
