[Chapter #0.1 - Awakening]

Yup. They are dead. Yeah, that's awesome! Do it again! "That's good. That's great work." Cain had never seen a Koala before, though now it was dead. Gone. Deleted from existence. That's just what happened when you get wrecked in this sick and twisted world. You can't even curse your enemies, you just stop existing. Damn, that would kinda suck though. He sure hoped he didn't get sent to the trash bin like the rest of them, but clearly he didn't have to worry about that, for he was most certainly the strongest and could out-Persona anyone who stood in his way by just not attacking them because he couldn't make it attack. Perhaps it would be a good idea to try and learn that later, but now wasn't the time, and even if he had the time, no one needs a Persona, you just gotta know how to beat someone to death with your own two hands. Cain was already rather experienced with that, he just helped beat the shit out of two weird people-animal things, and he was feeling rather invigorated, as if he had the energy to run really fast for a few metres without losing any breath, but he decided to conserve himself regardless. Only a fool would let themself get so riled up unnecessarily. As an expert of taking it easy, he would never fall for such a cheap trick. Just keep trekking on as if you were a gamer on the way to the next level, don't waste your MP rushing all the way to the final scenario. Ideally, there wouldn't even be a final scenario. They could just plug walk their way to Mr. Engyneer and have him vibe check the engine with ultimate easiness. It was all going pretty easy until suddenly, Cain called out “Wait! There's more monsters close by.” According to the COMPs, they were far enough away, so the urgent outburst wasn't needed, but it should have got everyone in the group's attention. He kept on stumbling and mumbling ahead. “Yeah, I'm gonna destroy them. I'm gonna... do it,” Damn, this ship was kinda big though. Where they storing all the funny cats, though? Maybe he'd pet one if he had time afterwards. Everyone loves funny cats, the brown ones and the red ones. That funny cat do be wagging its tail though, but wait, don't they puff their funny tails instead? Whatever you do, do not touch the funny cat's puffy tail! What the fuck!

Agni disappeared to where ever he goes when not called upon. Tykal stood there the heat from Agni's fires faded with the dissipation of those creatures that had just been taken out. Tykal looked down and sighed. Something just felt wrong. He felt invigorated while using Agni but these Shadows simply weren't after defeat. Would that happen to him he got hurt like that. The cold creeping sensation returned. He continued to follow the others folding his arms as if to keep him warm, but really it was simply to close himself off. A sort of body language that humans do subconsciously. Tykal practically screamed with it how much he didn't like any of this.  The tug of anti-space strengthened as they turned and faced the new enemies. Tykal looked over at Cain as he spoke. True it was kill or be killed but these Shadows exist, regardless of the fact they threatened everyone else. Was it right to just slay them like that. What if they felt pain, emotions, what if we were to them the threats. Tykal stayed back some from the fight. He entered within threat range but he seemed hesitant. He looked up and spoke before anyone made their move, "Captain." he spoke calmly with a tinge of uncertainty in his voice. "These Shadows we're fighting, do they suffer?"

It was an odd question. Prey doesn't question a stalking predator when it claws back unable to run. Tykal had been mulling over idea since he defeated the last two. He refused to carve bodies for a module because he didn't want to desecrate the dead, but they were dead. They could suffer no more pain or agony. The act alone only harmed their dignity. That was too much for Tykal to do. Though just mere moments ago he used a persona to ignite shadows out of self preservation. How was that any less wrong. Perhaps he was thinking on it too much. Two more enemies blocked the path. Now that he thought on it, would he cut them down too. Cain seemed to enjoy it. Truth told when Agni was attacking Tykal felt a rush of power and euphoria. A simple pleasure that opened his eyes, like when one first tastes sweet. Afterwards it was hard not to want that feeling again. Human think themselves more evolved than to fall to such urges they're always so in control despite the fact their behavior is just as primal as the animals they look down on. Logic was supposed to triumph over base emotions and behaviors. Kill or be killed. What to do.

He was indeed taken off guard by the shadows' assault. "Uwah! Uwoh..." That bear that just attacked his suddenly changed its focus to the guitar man. "They can try to sneak up on me all they want, it will never work! I'll just kill them!" He pointed to the small marsupial. "You won't get away after touching me! Neither of you!"

OH FUCK is screaming across Johnny's mind when he got ambushed the Koala is trying to claw Johnny's eyes out Johnny thought it was all over for him but then the Pink Guy blocked the Koala attack on Johnny. "Pink Guy are you alright my dude?" Johnny felt sorry for the Pink man who Johnny never caught the name of. Come to think of it Johnny doesn't know anyone name here. He will definitely have to ask later because just referring to them by their appearance might be a bit much. Whatever Johnny already knew the danger the Koala presented. Johhny was concerned about the other thing boosting the Koala's defense. Yeah no, this won't fly.

"Hey you the Koala your are gonna be in whirlwind of hurt once I am done with you." Johnny started to play his guitar body again to summon his persona. "Namtar let's send this koala sky high!" Namtar appeared uncoiling its snake like body and begans to roar unleashing a gust of wind from its wings.

"Of course! I am unkillable!" Cain kept his arms raised, putting himself between the enemies and his allies while pointing towards Tykal. "Burn that thing up! I won't let it attack you!" Fire worked last time, so surely it would again.

Tykal didn't have time to debate over the morality of harming shadows. They were on the attack and his allies had already been struck once. Cain cried for Tykal to blast the thing with fire again. Tykal's body practically moved on its own as Agni appeared behind him ready to release another onslaught of flames.

Stats and Action:

Both shadows were knocked over now, and this was the gang's chance to go all in before the creatures retaliated. "It's time to end this!"

The enemies had fallen, but at what cost? Cain did not know, or care very much. Now that the immediate threat has been ended, the pulse of his heart began to ease up a little, and he spent some time standing to regain his breath. Such a bizarre situation could easily impede upon one's easiness if they weren't prepared. Looking down at the wrist-mounted COMP, he noticed they weren't even halfway there yet. What the fuck! That wasn't very easy. What was easy was the invigoration he felt after game ending those monsters. He felt like he was approximately 9% stronger after that last fight. A deep strength innate to his soul. It is true that with trials come personal growth, so perhaps an onslaught of sentient black holes was a good thing. This realisation encouraged him to keep on pushing forward. Without a word, he took off running once again, still in the direction of the engineer. After a few moments he remembered that the original point of all this was to save the engineer so everyone didn't die. Hopefully they would succeed in not dying. Luckily, he came prepared. If something got close to him he would just beat the shit out of it again with the power of Persona and sheer fury. One of those shadow things might come up to them and say “-A------I-----e------h----- --- -----u ---------l -p------ b-g c---g-us,” but whatever the fuck that means, it won't prevent Cain from saying “Vibe check” and game ending it right there by shoving a 4,200 degree bundle of rebar stuck together with super glue down its throat, killing it instantly, not through physical damage, because they probably just eat all matter they consume, but by being so irrecoverably horrified by the C-Man's imposing aura of gamerness. Unfortunately, it seemed Cain did not currently possess either rebar or super glue. Perhaps he could obtain it somewhere else on the ship later. After reaching another corner with nothing of immediate significance around it, he did the unthinkable. Not having noteworthy thoughts about the lack of things to think about. Where were all those shadows, baby? Did they kill them all? Hopefully not, he was looking forward to securing those epic victory royales and unbridled spiritual and physical power that came with the higher levels of the battle pass. Every moment you ain't grinding, the enemy is also grinding. That's why the second bear was more powerful than the first. He wouldn't let those marsupials get a lead on him.

Johnny tried to catch up to Cain who was running like crazy, like god damn how many cups of coffee did this dude have before he was teleported to this ship. Who knew the group was going to get attack by Marsupial shaped shadows. Johnny is dreading to think about what will come next. The phrase fake it until you make it enters Johnny's mind at the moment, no matter how uneasy he is feeling at the moment he needs to look on the bright side, he is finally free of that horrible disease he can now move beyond his home.

Johnny kept moving through these metallic corridors "I wonder if Anti space has something other than Koalas to hurl at us. I am starting to get really sick of those fur bags." Out of all the things that could've attacked him Lizard people, Space Pirates hell even a giant brain that controls a hivemind but no it's more than likely it's going to be another koala. "Oh what are we going to run into next a bird? I was honestly expecting more nightmarish creatures, but if we're just going to keep running into animals I think we should be ok." Johnny had a swig of confidence added to him. Yes through Namtar's power Johnny felt pretty safe from all these Drop Bears that are likely hanging from the roof of the ship. For some reason, Johnny wanted to talk to the other people who were in the group with him just to break up the monotony of these rusty hallways.

All this rust can really dig into the soul and can get you down. This ship looked it was once a proud vessel now it looks like a shadow of its former self. Catching up with the Pink Blur this spaceship and the koalas this might actually be some good song material later down the track. Yeah a song about Drop Bears that will electrify the modern music scene, Johnny was now just brainstorming ideas for new songs. With all the crazy stuff that happens Johnny is sure he can write a few good songs about his experiences on this ship.

Johnny started to sing in so this whole process went faster for him."Making my way through the ship running fast these shadows are running amuck now." if Johnny could play his guitar right now with impeding his running capability he would've delivered a tasty guitar solo to go with those lyrics to try and boost the morale of the group.

Action:

"Everyone, wait..." The Captain's hologram appears in front of Cain and Johnny. "Enemies are approaching from all sides. It's as if they're being drawn to you. Could it be..." He glanced at their bloodied Modules. "Regardless, you must fight now."

Three Shadows surround you. However, one of them, the one reading as Slogutis, slowly gains color to its form, almost as if solidifying in some manner.

"A Demon." The Captain says. Mianna would be able to recognize the Demon on her own. It was a fully materialized form of a Shadow-a true manifestation of Potential drained by the Anti-Space!

Tykal clenched his fist as the shadows came from all sides. "AGNI!" he roared as the captains borrowed persona appeared behind him holding its hands up for the Maragni he had used it for.
