| With a groggy yawn, Kuzi would roll over in his sleep and mutter in distress to himself about how he didn’t want to have any more ice cream today. It wasn’t a very uncommon occurrence for the young Dreedle to murmer to himself constantly in his sleep, though tonight he kept rambling on about different bad things instead of his usual peaceful or happy rambles. Granted a lot of different horrible things had happened recently, both that he had to deal with directly and horrific sights of various messed up mutilated bodies and mutated monsters. Really nothing that the peaceful natured Dreedle should really had ever had to see. Though none of that had caused him to feel too out of place. Obviously it worried him and he wanted to get to the bottom of it all, though he knew he had Denki at his side on a moments call to deal with any sudden issues which calmed his mind a little. Yet… There was something about that book he’d read last night that had just got to him the wrong way. It had distressed him… Especially how he couldn’t quite put his mind on exactly what the eerie pages were trying to point towards. Various different ‘nightmares’ had plagued the pink fluffs night as he tossed and turned, eventually accidentally falling straight out of his bed and thumping onto the ground head first. ”Nrehhh…?” Rubbing his head with one paw, the unrested Dreedle would begrudgingly open his eyes to notice his face compressed against the same very book he’d read before sleeping last night. With a start he’d shove himself up and away from it, quickly flipping the stupid book closed and shoving it back on the shelf he had it on before. With a sigh, Kuzi would peer outside to try and get a sense of what time it was… Which to how tired he still was, he was disgusted by how late through the day it was already. He had things to do today too! Urgh… Man maybe he wasn’t cut out for all these seeker stuff. Being tossed around and battered up he could deal with, or at least had been able to so far. But losing sleep over it? Sleep was important! No sleep was no fun. Well not that sleep itself was the fun part, it was just hard to have fun when you had no sleep. You know? Regardless, after grabbing a quick snack to eat and being moaned at by his parents for looking so tired and that he should go to sleep earlier, which. Granted, yes he did go to bed later than yesterday though that was out of his control and really wasn’t the whole reason why he was so tired now! T-though telling them the real reason why he was back so late last night would prooobbaabbllyyy not go down to well so he’d just casually nod and agree, say sorry and that it won’t happen again. The usual get out of jail free cards! Anyway, with that all out of the way, Kuzi would set out on a little job he’d picked up earlier in the week off a notice board, kinda similar to how he got that whole MOM job last night. Though… He hoped this one would be way more peaceful! Honestly, he wasn’t much for sticking to one job, it wasn’t really in his best interests. He liked trying new things and just helping out the little guy who needed a helping hand here and there, so job wise he was kinda a free roamer, up to do anything anytime! As long as no heavy lifting was involved, oof. Todays little job involved him heading over to the commercial ward, the job was actually extremely simple and well… Almost sounded like it was designed for him. See there was this old couple who owned a small antique shop named Antiques Angels in the commercial ward, it didn’t really get a lot of use. Not that the couple minded, it was just that the man of the place had to be off for a while due to an injury of the back. Simply the wife wanted a little helper to be about the shop, greeting those who came in, making sure no ones up to no good and in general keeping the old lady company. Which he knew he’d be great at keeping them company! Plus it always seemed like either kids or those of old age appreciate someone of his size and looks, they took the whole ‘cute’ aspect of it a lot better. Oldies seemed to like having something to fuss over, which, as much as it wasn’t ideal it worked fine. A lil’ attention here and there never hurt anyone. ”Heyo!” The fluff would call out cheerfully as he entered the shop five minutes before he was due to arrive, not to his surprise the elderly woman had a smile plastered on her face as soon as she saw Kuzi. The pair introduced themselves and the basic rundown of what she wanted Kuzi to do was explained, which as he expected wasn’t anything too difficult. Especially as hardly anyone came in all day. In fact only two people came in the entire time Kuzi was meant to be there, the first was this strange centipede like person. Whom, the Dreedle would greet enthusiastically and show around the various trinkets and oddities that he was told about. Though he didn’t stay long, he did end up buying this odd looking necklace with various different teeth attached to it! The second person to come in was a younger girl with bright neon blue hair that seemed to emanate an aura of light on its own… She was a little more stubborn and didn’t seem to want to listen to anything Kuzi had to tell her, though he did his best anyway to keep her entertained as she took a peer around everything. The pink fluff seemed defeated when they left without buying anything, though a small pat on the head from the old lady and her reassuring him that it was no big deal, loads of people stumbled in and out of the store all the time without buying anything would perk him back up. The end of his shift was spent with the woman whom he’d learned was named Kellsy, telling him tales of all the different world that herself and her husband had explored. When they were younger they used to always go on expeditions to the different worlds Junction explored, and that was where most of these nic-naks they were selling came from. Their desire to share all their discoveries with the world before they passed to the next was a humble one, and something Kuzi wished to learn from as he’d wish the woman good luck in her future and took his leave. He’d be sure to pop by the shop again in the future! Learning more about all of the adventures she’d gone on would be awesome! T-though for now. With all the fun out of the way, the drag of how tired he really was would suddenly fall on him again. Bleh, time to get home for a good nap! After dinner of course. ~Work Thread Complete~
