The Cowlick (Frog)

Frog was kind of starting to get a weird vibe from Zaku for a moment. The way she looked to the side at him and blushed was unlike her initial shyness. The Cowlick's actions suprised him even more as it lunged into his face. He ran the back of his hand across his now itchin nose as he pulled his head back and asked Zaku for the address. When she gave it to him, he nodded contently and decided to dismiss the oddness of the girl's behaviour. However, her blushing and actions still portrayed an uncharacteristic level of intensity he'd not yet seen on her and it only seemed to go further and further up.

It was starting to get to him as well so he turned his head away from her to hide his own awkwardness over the situation. "Uhm, Zaku, are you alright? Were you out in the sun too much yesterday or something..?"

Zaku tried to calm down, this wasn't an Anime or a Manga, it was real life, just because he was being nice and talking to her didn't mean he was interested. After all who would be interested in her? she was seen as the odd one in the school, people always made fun of how she looked, or talked, any that found out always made fun of the fact that she was a cosplayer and anime fan, she highly doubted that anyone would be attracted to her, so more then likely he just wanted to be friends.

But that wasn't a bad thing, at least she could have a friend right? But..what if he was only being nice like this because he wanted something from her? like the training she had offered? after all he did come to her seeking help for his fencing, and he mentioned having heard that she had been great with a sword when she was at the fencing club....then again he didn't seem the type to do something like that...but then again then again she didn't really know him all that well.

In the end she relaxed a bit, the fact was Frog, like most guys, wasn't actually interested in her, but maybe he actually did want to be friends? at the very very least she would get another student at her Dojo even if he was only trying to get to know her to improve his fencing skills.

Having calmed down she realized that he was talking to her and she looked up a moment, that embarrassment gone, but replaced with her normal social awkwardness "Oh...umm..y..yeah Zaku is fine! Zaku!" she said as her cowlick stood at attention before relaxing again into an oddly question mark like shape "So just remember to do stretches before coming over okay? Zaku? And also remember that Zaku may have students there too okay? Zaku?" she said as she looked at him her cowlick seemingly keeping that question mark look at she waited for him to answer.

Frog calmed down a bit too, reassured by how Zaku seemingly reverted to her usual brand of shyness. He gave her a smile and then turned back to look straight ahead. "I'll make stretches...uhm...if I don't end up forgetting or well.....thinking it wouldn't be necessary." He did that a lot. Very often he'd just overlook the advice he's been given and just did things his way. It worked for him on a short term but screwed him over in the long term. Also he came off as inconsiderate whenever he did that.

"Oh, alright, more people means more fun, I guess?" He raised an eyebrow, not quite enjoying this news. More people meant more people that would mock him and stuff and that sucked. It pushed him away from every sport he'd ever tried, so yeah. "Hey, so if that's all then, we'll see each other tomorrow, right?" He scratched the back of his head.

Zaku actually shook her head to him saying he might do the stretches "Umm..y..You will need to do them..l..learning to use a sword...w..will be tough..and..and if you don't p..prepaire properly ..y..you will only hurt yourself. Zaku" she informed him as she looked at him, popping another bit of her lunch in her mouth as she continued to eat, she then pointed to his half eaten sandwich "A...and umm..y..you will ne..need to make sure you eat properly too...Zaku" she felt a bit weird telling him what to do, but considering he was going to be coming to her Dojo she wanted to make sure he could actually do the work he was coming down to do.

She then looked to him about the fact that more people would be there "W..well if you d..don't w..want other people to be there...t..then..y..you would..h..have to come today...Zaku" she said as she popped a bit more food into her mouth and chewed as she waited to hear what he had to say, he made it rather clear that he didn't want others around, though she didn't understand why "B..besides...s..students at Zaku's D..dojo are..n.nice..Zaku" she said looking at him. but as he asked if they were good she nodded a bit "Y..yeah i..if you want to s..show up to...tomorrow th..then yeah w...we can meet then. Zaku" she said still a light blush on her face as he took a sip from the thermos she had with her.

Well crap, he couldn't make it today when there wouldn't be people. He wasn't gonna specifically try to make it. He'd already decided he was gonna come tomorrow, so that was what he was gonna do. Thankfully if Zaku could wager for them, they were probably really nice...since, well, she seems shy as all hell, so she wouldn't be able to train them unless they were nice as well.

"Sure." Frog nodded and smiled, getting up. "See ya tomorrow, then. I gotta go back to classes. It was nice meeting you here." And with that, Frog closed their interaction for the day. At least now he's had some new plans for the day after, so that was always a plus.

Zaku looked to Frog and nodded a bit it seemed he had plans to go later on at least she hoped her other students wouldn't mind him getting most of her time, they had a good grasp on things, and she needed to teach Frog, not that she was planning to do anything like focus only on him though, but she wanted to get him caught up with the others if he had no training at all "O...okay Z...Zaku will see you then. Zaku" she said as she waved to Frog and then watched him leave, her cowlick wagging back and forth a bit, but after a while she got up as well, he was right it was time for classes so she headed out herself.
