How indeed would they make sure it wasn't a trap? Well, the Cadet only had to think for a moment to come up with an answer.

//"Isn't it simple? I'll drink it first. If it happens to be a trap, you can dispel it using a Patra Gem, or Lisa can subdue me if the worst comes to pass. Nothing more to it."// Shiina spoke with a completely calm and straight face as they approached the drink. Maybe they could keep going now. But before actually picking it up, the Tsurinai made sure to consume one of her remaining Snuff Souls to restore her spirit back to how it should be. And thank goodness too, she was really getting exhausted from all the healing...

The taste of the drink was sour, yet sweet at the same time. Whatever enchantments that were previously on the beverage had been removed with the slaying of the Cheshire Cat, thus making it drinkable for any and everyone. Whether it be the protection of the Cheshire Cat, or some other divine retribution, the drink did no harm to them. However, it did alter their senses abit. What would have normally shrunk them to a smaller size did something completely different with the Cheshire Cat's essence within them. The drink that was once used as a trap had now given Shiina a mild state of delirium. The once bloody, abnormal Wonderland had now became an actual beautiful paradise within her eyes. The same paradise the Terrorist, Alice, saw through her own eyes.

With this new insight of the land, and what it held, previous abstractions would be removed entirely. Thus meaning, she could proceed further within the dungeon without hindrance of any mind boggling gases or enemies. She was truly becoming this world's Alice.

This world's Alice? Maybe the original Alice thought so, and in any other occasion, she'd be correct. But no, Shiina wasn't here to take her place. This fantastic kingdom, despite its wonder, didn't daze the Wild Card or have her in complete and utter disbelief. She wasn't this world's Alice because she wasn't surprised. She wasn't this world's Alice because she would fulfill the role of Alice's enemy.

//"You know the expression 'walk a mile in my shoes'? I wonder how much of this is truly real. Kono sekai wa... hontouni subarashiidesu."// Shiina really had to get out of that habit. //"Seems like the drink is safe, if a tad intriguing. That intrigue can be left for later, however. No matter how mesmerizing an aspect of this world is, our objective lies at its end."// A chuckle escaped her lips as a pair of knives returned to her hand. Once Alice was in chains, this world would be no more. Was that sad? No, not really. After all, the Cadet held no love for a false reality created by a Terrorist's powers.

This Wonderland would fall.

Once Shiina reassured her about the lack of danger the liquid posed Athen proceed to sip some herself. As soon as she swallowed it a strange sensation overwhelmed and the world around began to alter as if by magic.

"W-woah! This is certainly not what I expected. So this is how Alice perceives this place. She must be even crazier than I thought."

The girl said as she began to get used to the new reality. Athena remained quiet as Shiina led the way forward.

"I'm starting to think this place is not Alice's creation. If she was the architect of this place she wouldn't need the help of the cat nor the liquor to traverse through the fog... however that would mean that there is someone bigger behind her."

Shiina raised an eyebrow. That was indeed a fair point. If Alice could just travel around uninhibited, why would she leave those devices that let them do the same strewn about in her place? To give them a fighting chance? Heh, as if...

Maybe that person is someone who's simply more capable than our target here... if such is the case, though, it may be more tactically sound to simply apprehend Alice and escape without facing that person. This is our first mission, after all, whoever is able to create a world like this might just be out of our league."// It didn't hurt to think rationally for a bit here. Even if rational was the exact opposite of what this world was.
