Floor 1 - Space of Arrogance

Thankfully, no one seemed to have major objections to the path Lori suggested, most actually staying rather quiet. Maria said something about prefering the light over dark, but that was about it. Sharaku was a bit surprised that the group wasn't more talkative. He wouldn't say he himself talked a lot, and yet so far he had the feeling that along with Lori, they were doing most of it. It wasn't that he was uncomfortable with it, but it was a rather strange feel, even if he did not seek company often. Maybe it was the strangeness of the situation creating this kind of atmosphere. Who knew? Still, it wasn't going to change the fact they had to face this. To be honest he would have prefered not to, but life wasn't always fair, so you gotta do what you gotta do, no matter how unnerving it is.

Either way, he had to admit that Lori was pretty fast even when she slowed down. This time he was actually glad for having long legs, because he wasn't sure he would have been able to keep up with her otherwise. Slightly busy with thinking, he barely managed to stop when Lori motioned for it, and gave her a side glance, wondering what she was up to. She was quick to explain, seemingly having some knowledge about the Shadows already, or battle strategy at least. Well, he couldn't complain about that, as that meant they might have a better chance getting out of there. ''I would agree on not getting ambushed being a good idea. Having the first move is always a better way to go if possible.'', he would say simply, not really finding anything to disagree on. This seemed like a good enough strategy. And he was definitely sure he wouldn't want to get jumped at without warning by those things. They gave enough creeps without that.

''Very well.'', he would nod at Lori's request to come with her, putting his hat back on meanwhile, even if he didn't fix his hair yet. It would get in the way of fighting otherwise, that was a sad fact. 'I should consider a change of style if things like these keep happening..', he would sigh mentally, as he waited for Lori to give them the go. The way she counted down with her fingers actually amused him a bit, but he wouldn't say anything, not in the mood to get attention to himself by commenting on it, cause if he did, it probably wouldn't sound very appropriate for the situation they were currently in. When the time came, he would follow after the blonde, even if not particularly pleased about the upcoming fight. But he would go on nevertheless, aware that there wasn't much choice, and he wouldn't want to get left behind. For a moment he wondered what happened to those who fell behind back then. 'Hopefully, the didn't get themselves in too much trouble....'

Maria would follow Lorielle around wherever she went, being ambushed did not sound like a good idea. It was like the seeker in hide and go seek being caught by a hider! That was so backwards that being ambushed couldn't be good! Trusting in her elders to have a plan she would skip merrily along after the group. She assumed that those that were left behind had something important come up, like maybe they had to go play a game of Candyland! That would be an exciting adventure all in itself! As they were moving the fairy princess would ask if they were willing to get to know each other a little bit better. Maria was all for this idea as she quickly spoke up, "I love giving hugs to people! Would you like one? I also like fluffy things, reading and candy! Lots and lots of candy!" It was almost like she was not aware they were in danger! Rather it was a fun
game to her!
