Appearance: Autumn stands out amongst those around her simply by virtue of how plain she is in comparison - lacking masculine nor feminine features and dressing in simple garments that clearly once belonged to someone else, not fitting her quite right as a result. Standing at the unremarkable height of about 1.7 meters, not even her height is particularly remarkable, causing her to easily become just one more body in a crowd. Her snow white bangs, broken only by a single red highlight, frames a youthful, angular-looking face and strikingly red eyes, typically partially tied back in a short, loose ponytail.
If clothes make the man, then Autumn is nothing significant, especially since her clothing is too large for her to the point where it lends her dress an almost flowing sort of appearance, shrouding her in layers of redundant cloth. Dark red, worn trousers are tucked into scuffed, laced boots and almost kilt-like dress reminiscent of the ronins of an eastern asian civilization, tied off with a simple belt and tattered sash. A loose, creased cream-coloured short-sleeved shirt similar to a blouse covers her torso, exposing the mechanical nature of her right forearm, while a torn yet still somewhat sturdy black and red garment embroidered with sun-faded floral patterns covers her left sleeve in likely useless cloth that probably wouldn’t do much to guard him against the elements. A scarf of a similar colour sits around her neck, hiding the patchwork of jury-rigged mechanical joints that make up her torso and frame.

Personality: Despite having awakened very recently, Autumn isn’t the blank slate many of her brethren were when they first came to be, possessing an almost casual but approachable indifference and caustic, sarcastic but good-natured humour complemented by a dry sense of wit. Eight years of exploring the fantastic and sometimes harrowing dreamscape of her own mind have opened her thought processes to a open-minded perspective and keen introspection, as well as a boundless patience, drinking in every detail of the ruined world she was born into with wonder tinged with both joy and melancholy, feeling both opposing emotions in equal measure.
A fair bit of a drifter and definitely a dreamer, Autumn is rather elusive, and it’s often difficult to understand her rather eccentric or esoteric reasoning at times. As a result of this unique perspective, Autumn knows much about the inner workings of the mind -- mechanical, organic, and even other entities -- and is prone to reading into the actions of others to discern their true mood, no matter what pretenses they display to the contrary. Autumn can be an ardent, silent but insightful hand on your shoulder, the calm in the midst of an emotional tempest that one may need to ground themself, or the sarcastic, dry wit to give someone a much needed laugh; both are equal parts of the android, waxing and waning like the phases of the moon or the ebbing and flowing of the tides.
Unfortunately, such insight comes at a cost to herself; Autumn is painfully aware of her own faults to the point where they drown out almost all positive perceptions about his being, and she finds himself questioning her own limited sense of individuality, wondering if she’s just an imprint his creator left on the world and not truly her own person and causing her to have a rather unstable sense of self as she questions the meaning of her own existence. She’s unsure if anyone truly knows her, or, worse, if she even knows herself, despite all of the pretenses and facades she throws up to hide this uncertainty.

This includes everything from heavy factory machinery to clockwork taken from old watches and even the springs and coils from vending machine mechanisms. As a result, physical damage, regardless of source, deals an additional 15% damage.

Weapon Description: An iridescent, nearly translucent blade that ripples with a soft green colour, roughly a meter and a third in length and three to four centimeters in width. An anti-shadow/demon weapon designed by none other than the brilliant Dr. Morgan, the Windcleaver is the product of years of refinement and dozens of prototypes. The blade’s unique design reduces air resistance and allows it to carve through even the air itself with almost preternatural sharpness, lending the blade and point an extra bite and fitting in Autumn’s hands like it was made for her specifically.

History:
Doctor Alphonse Morgan was an eccentric man to say the least, an enigma that nobody had truly been able to solve, try as they may (and many had tried).
Many of the denizens of Vault Olympia viewed his fervent, occasionally rather mad and single-minded pursuits with disdain, secretly hoping that he’d go up on one of his forays to the surface in order to gather scrap and parts and never return. Yet an equal number of residents swore by the good doctor’s talents, insisted that the man, as odd as he was, was a genius to rival the scientists of the old world. And indeed, Morgan was an incredibly gifted machinist - everything from electrical engineering to hydraulics were within the realm of possibility for him; hand the man anything broken, and, no matter how confounding or baffling the issue, he would have it singing it again within hours, never shirking or refusing any request, no matter how trivial.
Thus a decade did pass, and soon enough Alphonse found himself thrust into a critical leadership position during the vault -- much of the machinery critical to the functioning of the shelter had begun to break down -- they had been designed for a nuclear fallout, not a demon invasion, and so the doctor found himself leading expeditions to the surface to search for salvageable parts of old-world machinery.
It was on one such foray to the surface that Alphonse made a peculiar discovery - the shattered, broken husk of what was almost unmistakably an anti-shadow suppression weapon, sprawled amongst the ashes of what was an otherwise unremarkable building that had collapsed in the midst of the frigid Napoleonic Highrise, missing it’s core and quite a few key components necessary to function. Always a man who had craved a decent challenge, even with his hair beginning to gray and his body feeling the ravages of age, returned the broken machine to his laboratory and reportedly refused to leave for over a month, cannibalizing components from everything from his own antique pocket watch, broken personal computers and even an old world vending machine in his workspace that had run dry a lifetime ago, piecing together the android’s body like a child would a set of plastic toy bricks, before, finally, inserting an untouched an incredible rare plume of dusk to replace the missing one (and leaving an imprint of himself on said core as he did so).
However, despite the “completion” of the ASSW’s body, a feat almost no one had managed to accomplish, it did not awaken. Readings revealed that the machine was functional, running many processes and yet still refusing to open its eyes - Morgan chalked this up to the human equivalent of dreaming, silently begging for his creation to finally awake so that he could finally reap the fruits of his efforts. But after a year of waiting, when it seemed to the others like his hope was in vain and that he was wasting his time idling in his workshop, the unnamed ASSW was scheduled to be dismantled for parts; only to find Doctor Morgan stubbornly refusing - and for eight years, he evaded relentless attempts on his “masterpiece’s life,” despite its refusal to wake, and no one had quite the heart to dispute with him. Alas, it was not meant to be. The (partially mad, at this point) doctor would never see his ASSW awaken, a shadow attack on one of his forays to the upper world claiming his life.
It was scheduled to be dismantled not a day after those with him at the time returned with his body.
But before they could begin to tear her limb from limb, Autumn, for reasons no one could explain or justify, opened her eyes at last.

The blade needs its dimensions specified, and you have to pick either slash or pierce. Not both. Other than that, you should be good to go. | |
