| Wheels rolled over concrete, powered by the greatest and most reliable energy source ever convinced: muscle. Muscle did not require machinery. Muscle did not require a limited fuel source such as coal or oil. Muscle did not require maintenance by anyone except yourself. It was reliable and consistent. It would never let you down provided you devoted yourself to effective cultivation.
Peddling along the paved path of the park came Eryka on her new pedal bike. Dressed in a pair of skin tight, lined with insulation for warmth, tracksuit trousers and top came a figure on a bike. She was wearing appropriate protection in the form of elbow and knee pads. Eryka came to a stop at the top of a hill, reaching towards a bottle holder attached to her bike's frame. She withdrew her water bottle and took a deep drink from it as, despite how cold it was, she was dehydrated and more than a little hot.
"Dieses Fahrrad war ein guter Kauf..." She absently mindedly muttered to herself, returning her bottle to its holder as she took in the view. She had seen few other people out today which was honestly not surprising. It was winter. Winter was cold and that meant most people, sorry most weaklings, often used that as an excuse to stay indoors. Did they not understand exercise was the ideal way to stay warm? The body produced a lot of thermal energy when it was placed under exertion.

| The cold sucked, but being in the crowded orphanage all day when it was cold and nobody wanted to go outside sucked more. With everything that had been going on, Tamsin hadn't even had a chance to finish her new book yet. Luckily, she didn't have the internet or know anyone else who read the books, so spoilers weren't a problem but...
Still, she had wanted to get out of the orphanage for a little while and be alone with her thoughts, maybe do some light training. She couldn't really do much in the way of training her fighting skills, but she could train her body.
So, dressed in a short, well-used shorts and a tank top with a sports bra underneath, Tamsin was jogging around the walkways of one of Sunlake Palms' bigger parks. This one had a wide, paved trail for cyclists and joggers alike, and there were only a sparce few individuals using it. Not that it particularly mattered who was using it or why.
As Tamsin was running, she noticed a profile that looked familiar. She came up behind the cyclist and slowed to a stop, just passing her and looking over her shoulder. It was the Cadet she'd met that day with the boys - Officer Eckert.
Tamsin eyed the bike the woman was using, jealousy thinly veiled behind a stoic expression. "Oh, Hello, Office Eckert." She wanted to say more, but found herself caught between her admiration of Cadets and her fear of them.

| As she was in the midst of admiring the view, and planning what route she should take to return home, Eryka heard footsteps approaching. Normally she wouldn't have paid them any notice but then? The owner of these footsteps spoke up, addressing Eryka by name in a voice that was familiar. Eryka twisted her body to look towards Tamsin, servos in her prosthetic whirring slightly as she rested her prosthetic upon her bike's handle bars.
"Hello civilian. Tamsin was it? Yes I remember. What can I do for you today?" As far as Eryka knew, it was impossible (or just really unlikely) that this civilian was here for social reasons. Eryka noticed the focus of Tamsin's gaze was not on Eryka herself but on the Cadet's bike. Curious. Was Eryka owning a pedal bike, as well as a motorbike, really that strange? Fitness was important after all. It was definitely worth inquiring about and that was exactly what the Cadet planned to do.
"You are staring at my bike. Is there an issue with it?" It was entirely possible that Tamsin had noticed something Eryka hadn't for she was, after all, not incredibly knowledge about bikes. She knew how to ride one and that was about it.
