A hazy fog... A distant voice, and one not so far away... Implanting something that was there all along. A distant shore on which a far off ship is approaching port...
Then, something snapped within Toryuki, just as the claws of something much larger began their final encroachment... Something pushed it's back. Give this power to resist HIS corruption a form.

A sickening thud echoes through the chamber...
The corpse on the crucifix has been let free, the cloaked figure darts down a passage deeper into the catacombs. The corpse lays motionless for only a moment before shambling to its feet, clouds of steam rising from it's exposed muscle and sinew.

Moving in a suddenly violent way while looking at the void pirate ahead of her, Toryuki growled, before biting down savagely on her left hand, the mint blood dripping down onto the floor as she screamed out in a mixture of rage and pain.
In a flash of red mist, the shadowy figure of what a human would call a plague doctor hovered behind and over Toryuki, large even compared to the tall Dystoran warrior. A soft glow emanated from the lantern in its hand, Toryuki moving her hand in a way reminiscent of gripping a weapon, different blades materialising in her hand as she adjusted to her new power, before letting each one fade away. Content that she understood her new power, Toryuki crossed her arms beneath her cloak, looking ahead of her as her persona loomed over her, its lantern glowing brighter and brighter. "Let us bring them down... Nightingale!"
Passive Boosts: +15% boost to Light skills (Justice Arcana Boost)

—Strength Name: Ruthless —Description: "You chose this path like I chose mine. You get no remorse." Toryuki, when it comes to death, stopped caring a while ago. For this reason, she does not hesitate on any blow she tries as a killing blow. Toryuki deals 15% more damage with dex attacks.
—Strength Name: Embodiment Of War —Description: "Death awaits you. Death awaits me. It's akin to a dance. Shall we partake in one of our own?" Battle hardened and pretty violent in combat, Toryuki is, in a word, violent, and prepared to end lives for her cause. She deals 10% more damage with Light skills that deal damage.
—Racial Strength Name: Second Wind —Description: A race known for insane durability, Dystorans are known to be able to come back even from the jaws of death. This vitality can, in some cases, reach unprecedented levels of strength, with some cases recorded at being dead, and then getting up and complaining that their grave was too cramped. Toryuki is no different, having a reputation among her fellow rebels for being tough, even by Dystoran terms.
If a Dystoran takes an injury while unconscious that would lead to a fatality, the user regains consciousness and regains 5% of their HP instantly. This ability can only happen once per combat, and only if the user is attacked while unconscious, or if the damage would be otherwise fatal. In PvP, this also applies to damage that would be fatal from "normal" damage, however if it is because of "normal" or "real" damage rather than HP inflicted damage, then the user does not regain any HP.
Negative Passives:
—Weakness Name: Way Of The Many Blades —Description: "You try using this many weapons. See how efficient you can be with them." Toryuki uses a lot of swords. A significant and ludicrous amount. Getting a precise blow with such weapons is unlikely at best. Toryuki cannot crit with her dex attacks.
—Weakness Name: Enraged —Description: "You dare? You DARE?!" When angered, Toryuki is hard to calm down at best, and one that knows the right buttons can push her to the limit. Toryuki has a 10% higher chance of being afflicted by the Rage ailment, and will last an additional turn than its normal length.
—Racial Weakness Name: Bizarre Physiology —Description: Due to the odd make up of their blood, neither heat nor cold are preferable circumstances for Dystorans to live. This in turn leads to both cold and hot being, in extremes, dangerous for Dystorans.
Both Ice and Fire element attacks have a chance to crit (10%) those of Dystoran blood. This also means that Fire and Ice attacks cannot be absorbed by those from Dystor, no matter the circumstances.

The newly born Persona's light burned and seared the flesh of the creature. In a fit of rage and fear, it lashed out, trying to strike Toryuki with reckless abandon.

The creature howled in pain as its efforts were reflected back at it. Thus combined with Toryuki's slash severe the creature's arm and left it stumbling. Forgetting it's now seeping stump, the corrupted being drew a flint lock pistol from its belt, took aim, and fired.

With the bullet firing at her, Toryuki prepared to unleash her own tirade once more, forming a dagger in each hand as she unleash a single slash in the shape of an X across the cabin boy zombie.

Toryuki's flurrish of blades severed the creature's other arm, letting it fall limply to the floor. Now losing torrents of black Ichor from both arms, the creature let its jaw fall as a bold of icey energy began to form in its mouth.

The creature fell to the ground in a heap of broken limbs and black ichor, Toryuki's final bolt of light severing it's head from it's body. With it's demise, an silence would once again take hold of the chamber. The only sound beyond Toryuki's own breathing would be the distant patter of rain, and perhaps... Calliope music?
"Tzzzt Keep moving..."
A voice pieces not the void of silence, but the confines of Toryuki's own mind...

Shaking the blood from her self inflicted summoning wound, Toryuki picked up some of the black ichor, via a container of some kind for convenience sake, before listening to the voice inside her head. Removing the Emperor's End from her back strap, the Dystoran soldier took her newly finished weapon in hand as she nodded, taking light footed steps deeper into the temple, holding her spare hand that was not on the rifle to her head as she spoke, as if to an ear piece that did not exist. "Is that robed figure from before my target?"
Whether she had an answer or not, the Dystoran did as initially instructed, moving on.

The distance patter of rain would continue to sound in the silence for a while longer before the voice answered the warrior back as she began to move. “Tzzzt Impressive you actually listen. Ssshzzzt Prehaps you can be of use after all…” There was static in her mind as she posed the question. “You should focus on escaping this places. Sssh..zzt zzt…But if you think you can, then you could try your luck at trying to find the robed man and apprehending him. Zzt zzt.”
The path ahead would widen slightly until before the warrior rested three paths: one that led downward, one that led upward, and one that was level with her…

Looking ahead of her at the diverging paths, the Dystoran paused, crossing her arms in thought at the voices words. "Delving into this without understanding of what I am dealing with may perhaps be a bad idea. The uninformed are the weakest of all. Tell me, which direction would make for the best exit, and if I leave now, would such a place be traversable again, or will this be my only opportunity to apprehend the robed man? If this is the only time possible, then I will attempt to delve further, but I admit I am hesitant to be risky with so little information. Please advise."

There was static once more in her head as the Voice seemed to consider her words before responding. "Ssshh. Tzzt. You came down to get here, so up is out; however, we cannot say for certain how many chances you'll get like this for Junction ever changes. Zzztt. Zzztt. Chances close off and Lady Luck moves on. We cannot make a decision for you, but we would advise gambling. Dive into the unknown and see what is there. Maybe it be the robed man or treasure or more. Taking a leap sssh tzzt fun, but the choissss is yours. Sh-Sh-ssss."

After listening to the voice in her head that lied among the static, Toryuki began to crack her neck, not bothering to reply this time as she decided to heed the advice. Take a gamble, eh? If up was the way out, then down was the way further in. Treasure or robed man, either would provide enough answers to satisfy her. The voice was right, and she knew it. Junction changed. This unpredictability meant that she couldn't really afford to hang around.
So, she chose to go further down into this temple of bones, still mildly weary from the previous fight, but she knew that, worst case scenario, absconding was an option if she needed - even if she preferred to avoid such a tactic as this was a one shot mission.
