Appearance:
The first thing one notices about Lance is that he is tall. Standing easily 6’4”, he towers over most others his age. He is not a hulking creature, though, and in fact earns the name Scarecrow (usually just shortened to Crow) due to his willowy build. Thin and lean, it seems as if his muscle mass has simply been stretched out to account for his height, meaning that he looks frail whilst actually being quite strong. It helps that he has the body of a runner, with toned legs and a compact torso. His facial features are sharp and angular, cast in lightly tanned skin that gives him a mature look. This is toned down somewhat by his child-like round eyes, whose irises are a striking blue. It contrasts well with his hair, which is a deep black and kept in a medium-length, windswept style.
When not preparing for a sports meet or other athletic activity, Lance prefers to always dress in a business casual style. Dress shirts and vests with slacks are his favorite, though in cooler weather he tends to trade his vests for peacoats. Perhaps oddly, he wears athletic shoes regardless of his current attire—mainly because he never knows when he may need to run or do a little parkour. The one thing he is never, ever seen without is a pair of dog tags on a ball-chain, slightly tarnished with age.
Alternate Appearance:
When donning the mask of Oniwaka, Lance becomes garbed in the same red uwagi, blue hakama, tabi socks, and straw sandals as his Persona. Around his neck hangs a set of large prayer beads, painted rich red. Unlike Oniwaka, Lance also wears a long, white haori jacket; on the back of this is a simple black circle with an empty white center that gives the appearance that something should be encircled within. Wrapped around most of the lower part of his face is a long black scarf, tied in a knot at the back of his head. The tails of the knot hang down his back, stopping at his tailbone.
The mask of Oniwaka itself looks much like a traditional Japanese oni mask. It is an angry red color with two small, nubby horns over each heavily-defined brow. Between these horns—just like on Oniwaka’s forehead plate—is the single black line forming the kanji for the number 1. A thin outline of white traces the eye sockets of the mask to give the eyes a bulging appearance when worn, creating a further likeness to the demon child. Instead of the mask bridging over the top of his nose as most do, it extends down over it, creating the illusion of the same bulbous, orcish nose that Oniwaka has. To complete the likeness, a pair of ivory tusks curve down and to the side just at the corners of Lance’s mouth.
Personality:
To sum it up in one phrase: Lance plays hard and works harder. On the surface he seems to be a pretty carefree and happy-go-lucky guy, always smiling and active. He is competitive in a friendly way, always encouraging those around him to match or do better than him. Perhaps surprisingly, he has a passion for the arts, and places great value in being able to express himself in more ways than just verbal communication. He is particularly fond of visual art and music, although he is only skilled at the latter. When not at school, work, or a meet, he spends his free time doing exactly what he'd be doing at work or a meet. That, or practicing parkour. He is also somewhat sentimental, and collects various trinkets from his successes in life.
Beneath the somewhat whimsical exterior, though, there is an intensity to Lance that generally only those close to him get to see. He has a powerful sense of duty and honor, believing that one should always stand up for what they believe is right and that they are in fact obligated to do so if they have any shred of dignity. Additionally, he places great value upon loyalty and adherence to the rules of one’s superiors; if someone manages to earn his trust, they will have a friend that will follow them to the ends of the earth, simply because they asked him to.
Unfortunately, this means that Lance often finds himself troubled when his loyalty conflicts with his sense of right and wrong. It also means that he is fairly gullible; he assumes that all people are inherently good, and often doesn’t see the evil in others until it is too late. He will blindly serve until his eyes are opened, and even then it may take him a while to truly see the harsh truth that not every smiling face is a friend, and that not every leader has good intentions.

—Description: Lance is a fast runner, and although he’s better at shorter distances he can cover as much ground as he needs to with a fair amount of speed. Since he also practices parkour, obstacles are mere objects to him. (Able to travel at double the normal movement speed.)

—Description: Having learned flexibility and agility from practicing parkour, Lance can duck and weave like no other. (+10% Luck)

—Description: When Lance bonds with others he does so quickly and deeply. When a friend is suffering—no matter how recent the friendship—his resolve to ease their pain sets his determination ablaze.

—Description: Some say determined, others say stubborn. When Lance sets his mind to a goal, there’s nothing that can sway him from it. If he gets knocked down—in a metaphorical or literal sense—you can expect him to get back up until whatever goal he has in mind is complete.

—Description: When Lance sees someone as a superior, he doesn’t question their orders. Since it takes a lot to sway him from his loyalties, it can be problematic when his mind isn’t in the right place. (Charm lasts twice as long.)

—Description: Lance is tall and willowy, which is great for a runner. Unfortunately, it also means that his bones are closer to the surface of his flesh, and thus prone to damage from heavy impacts. He’s broken limbs more than a few times. (10% more damage from Strike skills.)

—Description: When in combat, Lance relies on his swiftness and agility to outmaneuver his opponents. This means that he’s always on the move and light on his feet, which can throw his balance off if he misses. (-15% Luck after missing a physical (non-skill) attack until his next post.)

—Description: Lance feels the need to do everything himself. It’s not a matter of trusting others, and more that he feels that if he has life in his body, he should be working to accomplish his goals. He can’t simply sit back and let others do things for him, which is particularly problematic when he is sick, injured, or otherwise not at full capacity.

—Description: Lance finds it incredibly difficult to disobey superiors or defined rules. It is the one thing that trumps his loyalty in most cases, and the thing that causes him the most stress on a day-to-day basis.

The Background

History:
The Lane family is one of rich military tradition. Lance’s father—and his father’s fathers—were all soldiers in one way or another, and passed their adherence to superiors and sense of duty and justice from generation to generation. Thus, his current values were instilled within him at a young age, and only intensified as his younger siblings, Louis and Lexi, came after him. They looked up to him, which spurred him to always give his best so that they would have confidence and a sense of security. One could argue it was also where he gained his playful, competitive side as well.
Originally from overseas, the family moved to Endymion due to a change in his father’s station. They knew they didn’t have to—being on active duty, it wasn’t like they’d get to see him—but closing the distance made him seem just a little closer to home. Beyond this, Lance’s life has been relatively normal, though that may be set to change in the near future…

| Dont forget you're sidearm that can be a gun of some type. While everything else looks fine you can make your weakness only give you about 10% extra from Strike skills. But it is up to you. You can also choose to change your floating stance weakness to something else combat related but that is up to you. Just mentioning that they are scary lol. | |
