Appearance: Chancelor is of slim build, often described as a depressing figure with gloomy tones. His dimples on his cheeks give definition to his broad features despite his slim shape. Chance has jet-black hair that is a bit scruffy. He usually has purple around his eyes from the lack of sleep he receives. His clothes are normally overly fancy for the occasion, but he tries to stick to his long-sleeve with a black vest over it, a psychadelic bowtie, dapper dress shoes and black dress pants. He stands at 5'6".

Alternate Appearance: Chances dones a dark trench coat with purple lining and heavy cuffs, as well as pants and boots to fit the attire. They are more like a slum lord, but it is mostly a play on the aspect of rich and poor and the fashion between. While the darks blend in with the night, he created his costume as a desire to be seen as eccentric and foolishly flashy. His mask is a perfect replica of a young boy's face who only sees sadness and wonder.

Personality: Chancelor, to put it simply, is quirky. Quirky in many aspects as he likes to take unorthodox approaches to what he deems to be an over-saturation of social stigma and set rules within this society. He often gets caught up in the battle between light and darkness, stretching across all metaphorical mediums as he cannot decide on subjects without considering the affect on the slippery slope of life. Chancelor cherishes friendships but also constantly experiments and challenges them. He is rather complex as often his relaxed front doesn't do much to teach his friends of the deep layers of indecisive personality traits underneath.

—Description: Despite yearning for friendships, Chancelor is an independent thinker. This is strong enough to prevent him from being socially manipulated, but may impede teamwork in moments where he strongly disagrees with a situation and does believe that there is another solution.

—Description: Chancelor is not an out-going person outside of his music. When he isn't performing, it is very difficult to convince him to be part of a team and not be independent. This extends to all social aspects, and even when performing he tends to keep to himself.

—Description: When something riles up Chancelor and cultivates his passionate side, he can tend to think irrationally with how to deal with the situation. Such as trying to get revenge on someone who has wronged him in just the right way. This essentially causes him to have irrational vendettas, given someone has made themselves a major enemy.

—Description: An inevitable aspect of his indecisive nature would be the inability to go beyond leaning towards one side between the deities. While this can change, his indecisiveness will prevent him from full commitment. It mixes with his introverted nature, but is really mostly his indecisiveness and not just the introvert nature of his.

The Background

History: Chancelor Vann was formerly known as Chamberlain von Vance, the heir to the Vance family's fortune when they lived in Germany. He didn't live in Germany himself, however he made frequent trips as a child. Once he had the chance to meet most of his family, he had felt an inescapable depression, something he couldn't cure on his own. It made him realize a miracle or tragedy was needed to rip him from his family. To rip him from the abusive grips of his parents and older siblings, he needed something like the Eternal Divide. He was lucky to have been roaming Endymion once he escaped his parents while they were on a business trip.

Once the immediate family of his were severed from the rest of the Vance clan, they had clawed and fought for their wealth. His parents saw him as the true heir while his seven siblings had all wanted their share, and the share of the others. Chance wanted none of it, knowing it was blood money collected from the losses of others. From the destruction of communities, societies, civilizations. His family had accrued a cursed fortune, and it had hit his family in the worst ways. A brother of his had died in a bar fight, another dying from an overdose. A third brother had been killed mid-robbery while a man defended his property. His youngest sister had kept to her room for so long, being the most pleasant. But Chance found her covered in dirt and dead of starvation.

Another one of his brothers had died trying showing off his skills with a crotch-rocket to his friends, running all the way off a cliff and into the full force of a semi truck. His two older sisters had their own lives, the oldest mysteriously disappearing. Due to the lack of worry or research, he automatically assumed it was the mob his family was involved in and her tendency to embezzle that made her "disappear". The other sister had contracted HIV years ago, eventually dying. It disgusted him, all of his siblings that had clawed for the wealth had all died in their own special way.

Chancelor was a bit of a wild card, though. He wasn't quite afflicted in the same way, besides a bottomless emptiness representing his depression. His parents had become more and more controlling and punished him harder each day. Eventually, seeing an opportunity to begin life anew, he had run away from home and used a part of the money they gave him for recreational use each week to create a new identity. He hides within the lower-end parts of Vista Park under the moniker Chancelor Vann. He even lost weight from being fat and died his hair jet black from blonde.

After a few years of barely scrapping buy as a kid, he eventually registered himself for school, ready to change his rough situation and wanting to earn an honest coin. He didn't want the blood of the Vance family on his soul, though at times he did feel their taint.
