Appearance: Standing at a whopping 5'3", she is by all means 'short.' The fact that she is also over 200 pounds doesn't help at all make her look taller. She has come to accept the fact that she will forever be like this. At least she can change her looks, right? When she can afford it (which is not often) she likes to dye a lock of her hair a muted red, which she will allow to fade back into its more natural mud brown color. Recently, she got a hair cut, turning her long hair into more of a bob cut with bangs that get in the way. When they do so, she pulls out the hair clips or a head band to keep them out of her face. Her brown eyes are hidden behind ordinary, rectangular glasses, which should help frame her face but don't at all. When not in the school uniform, she can be found in jeans and a T-shirt of some sort. When cold, she likes to put on a military jacket decorated with buttons of all shapes and sizes.
Personality: When not hiding behind a more likable facade, she is quiet and takes the time to analyze everything about her surroundings, putting it in the back of her mind for future reference. Because of her 'powers of observation' she is able to find little hidden connections between friends and tends to be the 'go-to gal' when others want advice on various situations. She acts older than she seems, and therefore keeps a dangerous habit of bottling her emotions until they spill over and she cries into a pillow before eating her feelings. She also has a terrible habit of staying up late and not doing her homework because she already understands the material.

—Description: Though she tends to be uncomfortable in most situations, very few people would ever be able to notice it. She keeps her mask, and keeps it well. Only when she is home or with friends does she drop it for her more normal personality.

Weapon Description: A three section piece of bamboo that is a little under six feet tall. In each of the sections it is hollow, so someone drilled out holes so it could be played. She does play it and badly. She's trying to get better, but her fingers are too far apart to do any good.

The Background

History:Well, it all started when she was born.
What, she had to be born to grow up to the person she became, right?
Anyway, Nanami grew up with a mother and a father. Her mother usually worked, leaving her with her dad. He liked to sleep though, so it gave her plenty of things to be bored at.
Naturally, she turned to the television. She quickly learned from it, soaking up all of its information, and skipped an entire grade level early on. Of course, the led to her being bullied and called 'fat' and 'nerd,' drawing her more and more inside her shell. She didn't stand out anymore to try and fit in, though she did occasionally say some outrageous things to get her ostracized even more.
It was when she moved to Ueitawa that things really changed for her. She hadn't expected to come here and not get bullied. Didn't expect to make friends. And certainly didn't expect to get god like powers by facing her worst fears. But, that was a story for another day.
