Clean your mind [Ray]

A day off from work. The best kind of days. It was pleasantly warm today, so Akane couldn't help but to go outside. She wasn't feeling like going shopping or eating somewhere, so she chose a place she was only once before. It was many years ago. Not that she wanted to remember those dusty memories, but she wanted to feel free, if only for just a moment.

It took some time, but it sure was worth it for Akane. Not that many people were around. Most of them were only passing by on their walks, anyway. She reached the majestic Oak tree, placing her hand against the bark. /"We had a picnic here, once."/ She recalled. Back when she and her brother lived with their parents. /"We had such a great time outside.."/ She let out a small sigh. But what the hell was she doing? She didn't come here to reminisce old times. Slowly, she sat down, her back against the Oak. Light breeze caressed her cheeks, tickling her a little. She couldn't help but to think of her brother, Aoi. Maybe they could come here, from time to time, and just enjoy a day out. /"That could work! I'm sure Aoi will agree!"/ She giggled and stood up. She wanted to walk around, to think about her new, awesome plan.

Too bad that Akane's clumsiness got the best of her. She was just about to walk over one of the roots that were above ground, when her foot got stuck on it. She couldn't do anything about the fact that she was about to meet the stubborn root and ground with her body.

Now then, what else was there to see? Ray didn’t usually travel too far from his home island without a reason, and Lunapa did not have much to suit his taste, however he was proven wrong once already, when he met the strange musician in this place a while ago. And, this island had much less people milling about, which was a plus in Ray’s mind. Lately he was getting suckered into stuff he had never thought about doing before, and a quiet trip to clear his mind could only do him good. Last time he had been wandering near the see and beach, therefore this once he walked along the greener parts of the island, not particularly looking for anything. If something were to happen, he figured it would.

Hm, this island was actually sort of relaxing. Ray didn’t love plantlife and such, but seeing green everywhere was....how to put it, calming? Either way, it wasn’t that bad in the end. Pacing around, he would soon break into a slight jog, as the scenery was fairly similar, not giving him a reason to walk slow and look around. Eventually he would pass nearby a huge oak tree which, funnily enough, escaped his attention until he was fairly close. He saw a brown haired female sitting, leaning against the trunk, but didn’t think much of it. There was no reason for him to bother with someone right now. And he wouldn’t have, choosing to instead run past and be on his way, if the girl hadn’t stood up meanwhile, walked a bit, and promptly tripped. Now, Ray wasn’t your ‘help people in need‘ guy, but if she fell, and hurt herself, he might just have to do something more, being the only person nearby at the moment. Not a pleasant look out for the day.

Turning around sharply, as he was just past the tree at that moment, he would make use of his speed to get over there before she had a make out session with the hard ground, grasping one of her arms to help her steady herself and not fall. Now, he only had to hope she wouldn’t get a heart attack instead, as he had been passing by from the other side, therefore she shouldn’t have seen him until just a moment ago. ‘‘Shouldn’t you be more careful when outside?‘‘, he would ask, shrugging a little, after letting of of her if she wasn’t in any more danger of tipping over. Well, he wasn’t too interested in her answer, but maybe it would make her be more careful, cause he was definitely not saving her again if this were to repeat. She better be thankfull he even went out of his way to do this.

Strength:

Akane was about to scream.




She felt a hand grabbing her arm, making her regain back her balance and avoid the unpleasant result. She was quite surprised, that there was somebody who helped her. The good kind of surprised. She steadied herself and the hand released its grasp. A moment after she could hear a voice, questioning her carefulness. Akane turned around to face the origin of the voice. Before her stood a young man, surely not older than herself. He had white hair and quite interesting attire.

"I... Yes, you're right." She replied, with a hint of guilt in her voice. It was the truth, but Akane couldn't really control her clumsiness. She quickly glanced over her legs, to check the damage. There was none, luckily. After that swift moment she nodded: "Thank you from saving me from potential injury." She then would give the young man a lighthearted smile, to show her genuine gratitude.



"I'm glad that there was somebody who could help me out."

She agreed that it was a good idea to be more careful. Excelent, now better hope she was going to follow through with that, at least for as long as he was around. That would be more than enough for Ray. She could fall all she wanted when he wasn’t in the victinity, simply because it wouldn’t have anything to do with him. Besides, worrying about someone wasn’t usual for him, so it made sense for him to think that way. ‘‘You’re welcome.‘‘, he would respond, giving a light smile in return. She did seem genuinely thankfull, so he decided not to upset her, and play along. Let’s say he actually wanted to do this...Yeah, that would do.

‘‘Right, looks like you were lucky this time.‘‘ Well, wasn’t she? He could have simply let her be. Though, the way she worded it. Someone who could help her out? Shouldn’t it have been ‚would‘, rather than could? Not that he really cared about her thoughts, but just because you could do something, it never meant that you actually would. ‘'Why are you out here anyway?‘‘, he would ask, a little bit curious as to why was she wandering around here alone. True, he had been doing the same, but he did sort of wonder what her reason for it was. Usually, he saw people move in groups, rather than completely alone.

Akane was taken somewhat by a surprise, when her savior asked her what she was doing out here. That was a good question and she had no real reason to not answer him.



So she asnwered him with a gentle smile: "I just came here to think a little. And since I was just about done thinking, I was going back home." Then she remembered she received a couple of coupons for some of the rides in work, as a reward for her hard work. Just like this day off. Akane didn't really had use for those. Most of the time she spend in work, studying or out in places where people usually didn't go to. And her brother Aoi wasn't a fan of rollercoasters, so that marked him off the already thin list.

Akane quickly reached into her pocket that she herself sew, because the dress was originally pocketless and took out the coupons. She then would reach out her hand towards the savior, whose name she didn't know yet. Good time to introduce aswell. "Here. These are coupons for some of the rides in the theme park on Penecia. I really don't need them, so you can have them as my thanks. And also, the name's Akane." She said with a smile, once again. She was hoping that he will receive her token of gratitude.

She came here to think? Well, that was an answer. Ray could understand someone wanting to be on their own to think. Sometimes people were just too loud and invasive for comfort. ''Alright then, just don't go falling along the way.'', he would shrug, reminding her a little, as there wasn't going to be someone to save her again. He doubted they would be going the same way. There was a very small possibility of that actually happening, and he sort of hoped it would not. Ray wasn't the guy to seek company if he didn't have to or it simply didn't involve anything that initially interested him.

He would look at her questioningly when she took out something from her pockets. Soon, she revealed it to be coupons for the theme park. Nice, though he wasn't sure whether he would go there. It wasn't even on his home island, and a theme park sounded a bit out of his style. He didn't play around often. But, if she really gave this out of thanks, then it would be rude of him to decline. Who knew, maybe he would have a reason to go later. Though he couldn't think of one now. ''If you insist. Might as well keep it just in case. You never know.'', he would say, giving her a light smile. ''My name's Raynar.'', he would add as he took the coupons, sticking them somwhere in his own pockets. Giving his name couldn't hurt, as she told him hers already. If he ever met her again later on. The probability wasn't high, but he wasn't so sure anymore, with the amount of strange people he'd been running into in this region.

Akane chuckled when he reminded her to not fall again. It would be great if she could do that, but she had no power to stop that from happening. She was glad when he accepted her little "gift". He then smiled and told her his own name - Raynar. Akane didn't quite know anybody with a name even remotely similar to his. It was quite a nice name, though.

"That's a nice name you have, Raynar." She said with a gentle smile. But then she recalled that she was actually on her way home, before she got saved from falling. "However, not to be rude, but I was on my way home. Let's meet again, though!" Akane added as she turned and waved at Raynar. This time she made sure to not fall again.

A nice name, huh? This Akane seemed to have quite the friendly personality. So far. Well, it was her call. He didn't particularly give a piece of mind to his own name. Ray would shrug lightly, taking that comment in, but wouldn't respond to it. There was nothing appliable he could think of saying to that. And he wasn't cheesy enough to say that he liked her name too. Not unless it was a neccessity for him to act it out.

''Alright, see you.'', he would nod, raising a hand in goodbye, as she waved at him. Well, this didn't take long. At least he still had some time to waste around here. Who knew if he was even going to meet her again. Sure she gave him a name, but he doubted they lived near to each other, which meant it would be a coincidence if he ever ran into her. But honestly, he wouldn't mind either way. He was pretty sure there would be plenty of people that'd go out of their way to save a falling lady, if she's always that friendly. 'Time to go back to walking around....'
