| Shuusei HatsuharuCrying does nothing to change the situation
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Shuusei Hatsuharu Aliases: Shuu Gender: Male Age: 18 Birth Day: February 7 Arcana: Hierophant Evoker: Gun (P3 Style) Place of Residence: Hayabusa School Year: Third Year Class: (We'll fill this in once you're approved. This will be your class in school) After School Club: None Part Time Job: None
Appearance: Standing at a height of five feet six inches and weighing at a hundred and twenty-eight pounds, Shuusei has a thin, rigid body build, sometimes appearing scrawny to other people when he's actually not.He also has outstanding crimson-coloured orbs and a slightly pale skin complexion. He usually wears an aloof expression on his face and when he is thinking, he somehow ends up looking like he's scowling instead. He also has unruly black hair - somewhat. Under the sunlight, it sometimes appears dark purple or dark brown.
Shuusei's still somewhat conscious of his almost slender body, often donning baggy tees and sometimes layers to conceal his actual body size. Occasionally, he would wear a beanie. That's always good for bad hair days. Oh, for Shuusei, it is a must to wear sneakers.
Personality: Kaori's death took its toll on her her brother. Shuusei, as a result of this incident, has become a rather insular person. However, this is rather hard to point out because Shuusei acts so normal. He's able to adapt to any situation and quite frankly, it's rather painful to watch. The boy desperately wants to love, to trust others, but he does not want to let people in because he's scared of getting close to someone, only to lose him or her, much like what happened to his sister. Basically, he doesn't want to be hurt. So, the number of people he trusts are rather few in number, keeping him aloof and secluded.
Shuusei's a rather selfless person. It seems that there's nothing wrong with that, which is partially true. There's always two sides of a coin though. While he doesn't mind helping others, Shuusei isn't the kind who would say 'no' either. If one were to know this aspect of him, it wouldn't end too well. After all, people would make use of his docility. Shuusei knows this, but he could never find the heart to say no, neither did he have a reason to. Instead, he decides to stay away from people as much as he can. He doesn't want to concern himself with others.
Also, Shuusei's quite stubborn, although one could say he's motivated. When Shuusei wants to do something, he would stick with it all the way. The downside is that sometimes he tends to take it too far. Although he would be rather focused on work, Shuusei would be forget about his own health.
Acting like everything is okay after his sister's death, and people thinking that he's fine, is a clear sign of adaptability. Then again, that's one of his strengths. If anything, the boy was a mess underneath all that normalcy. If he could only be truthful to himself. However, it's the same thing that's driving him to be so motivated. One would ask why is he working so hard and not living a normal life like how other children should be living? Well, it's not as if he's gonna say that studying was his way of coping with his sister's death.
Quiet and reserved are the words to describe Shuusei. That's just how he is. If not, how would he be close to his noisy sister? Small talk just doesn't cut it for Shuusei. It's not that he's suspicious of anyone, it's just that he usually doesn't know what to say. Having isolated himself from the rest of the world, Shuusei doesn't know how to express himself.
He's traditional in the sense that he's conscious of age roles. Having been born first, he's always felt the need to play the colder role as compared to his sister who could play the more lively role because she's the younger. This also links back to his inability to express himself, which was a burden to him (not that he minded, of course) and combined with his withdrawn personality, it is even more of a burden now.

The Potential
|
Strengths: —Strength Name: Dancing —Description: Introduced to dance from one of his few friends in school, Shuusei got into it as well and is rather decent at it, buy only because the muscles used in dance are the same ones used in martial arts.
—Strength Name: Martial Arts —Description: He used to do martial arts when he was younger. Although he may not do much of it now, his muscles may still remember the techniques.
—Strength Name: Considerate —Description: Let's say if two people were talking, Shuusei's not the kind who would rudely butt in. If anything, he'd wait till they finish their conversation.
—Strength Name: Rational —Description: Shuusei is anything but impulsive. Since he already has the tendency to push aside his feelings, it makes it easier for him to analyze a situation and figure out a solution.
—Strength Name: Patient —Description: Having an annoying, lovable sister around sure taught Shuusei how to withstand many things. Although, he still has a limit to his patience, but he can stretch it quite a bit.
Weaknesses: —Weakness Name: Abandonment —Description: He doesn't take abandonment very well, and is rather paranoid of people leaving him in the same manner as his sister. He counters this by pushing people away once he feels that they're getting too close for comfort.
—Weakness Name: Reserved —Description: He's pretty much an introvert, not talking much at all. That's how he is, and because of this, it's hard to know what he's thinking about when even at his best, he still keeps to himself. Sure, he doesn't mind knowing about people, but Shuusei refuses to let people know about him.
—Weakness Name: Docile —Description: The problem with him is that he doesn't have the courage to say no. Shuusei usually doesn't like to anger or hurt other people anyways. He's totally prone to manipulation in this way though.
—Weakness Name: Stubborn —Description: Sometimes, his motivation can prove to be a bad thing. Although it is a good thing to be driven, Shuusei tends to neglect his own health, physically and mentally, in the process of working hard for what he wants.
—Weakness Name: Insomnia —Description: He often can't sleep, often being plagued by nightmares from the accumulated psychological trauma since his sister's death
Soul Bound Weapon: Kyoketsu-shoge
Weapon Name: Meteor Weapon Description: It's a double-edged blade with another curved blade near the hilt, angled at 45 to 50 degrees. However, instead of a ring attached with the chain, it's just a metal chain with a weight at the end of the chain. The chain is about 15 feet long, and the blade itself is about 11 inches. Weapon Image: Looks something like this, but not as rusty Weapon Attack Type: Slash Weapon Element: None

The Background
|
History: Shuusei and his sister were born and raised by their parents in the bustling city of Tokyo, Japan. Shuusei had always been someone who placed others above himself. It was probably the influence of having a little sister, and caring parents who would usually remind him that he's the older brother and that he should be taking care of younger ones well. There was no doubt that he truly treasured his family, to the point he gave up time with friends to be with them.
His family was unlike most families in Japan. His parents were traditional to a certain extent, but they never forced their beliefs and traditions onto their children. Shuusei's father would often tell Shuu to take the time to explore as much as he can, and not to fear the unknown. As a result, Shuusei was often very curious and open-minded, willing to try out new ideas. Shuusei was a rather reserved kid, in contrast to his sister, who was carefree and spirited young girl. It was a common sight to see the younger Hatsuharu child dragging the older one around. He couldn't say no to his beloved sister, and he would usually let her drag him around. He wasn't the kind who would voice out his true thoughts. Even if he didn't like it, Shuu would just go with the flow. Kaori once complained that her older brother was hard to read and all Shuusei did was just gave her a knowing smile of the sorts. Not that he was keeping any secrets from her, but that was just how he was.
Shuusei hated it when people attempted to pry into his mind. In fact, there was a time that his little Kaori had prodded him incessantly to reveal his true thoughts, Shuusei snapped. His voice dropped dangerously low, and he had threatened his sister that he would destroy her cellphone if she continued to do the same thing again. To Shuusei, his thoughts were extremely private and no one else should ever know what he was thinking. Actually, Shuusei just hated people knowing his real thoughts because he was scared that his vulnerabilities would be the very thing that destroyed him someday. He didn't like appearing weak, and he also hated it when his emotions got the best of him. If one were to see it from a totally different perspective, Shuusei was afraid of saying his true thoughts because he was scared of losing control over his emotions.
Shuusei wasn't one to indulge in his studies back in those days. In fact, he absolutely hated it. Although he liked to make his parents happy, he would attempt to avoid homework whenever he could. I mean, what kind of kid actually likes homework and studying? He would often be seen reading comics or playing video games. His grades weren't exactly the best in class, but he wasn't the worst either. His favorite genres of games were mainly role playing games or fighting games, and it was during then that he had developed an interest for martial arts. When he turned thirteen years old, he asked his father whether he could take up karate, to which his father easily agreed. However, that open-mindedness of his was not to last.
Shuusei's fear of losing loved ones only came into place when Kaori was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the young age of twelve. Shuusei was only fourteen then. The sudden news threw the Hatsuharu family into a great state of disarray. No one really knows how Kaori had gotten struck with such a condition, and it hurt to see the youngest's health deteriorate day by day. Although Shuu's parents did their best to provide money and support for her to get better, Kaori eventually passed away.
After her death, Shuusei was greatly affected by it. Still, he was well aware he needed to be strong for his family. He bottled all his feelings of frustration and grief, and acted as though nothing much has changed. Instead, he directed it towards his studies. His academics became a method for Shuusei to cope with his negative feelings. However, ever since he devoted much of his time to his studies, he has not practiced martial arts since then, even after he transferred to Kizuna Academy when his family moved to Hayabusa from the city.
