Appearance:

Yatagarsu is a lightly tanned skin red head with the look of your typical bad boy trouble maker. Like his personality, his appearance comes off as a foul mouthed young man who talks more than he listens, and has a vulgar way of going about things. He stands at the height of 5'7 and weighs approximately 146 lbs. He is no way muscular, but at the same time he is not obese. When compared to the average person, you could say he was parallel to body size and disposition. He has dark red hair and interesting amber eyes that can appear orange in the right light. Typically he wears a black beanie on his head, a white hoodie with a black over jacket; black cargo pants, and finally black boots aswell. On his wrists he wears black prayer beads, possibly symbolizing he is religious, or just wearing them as a fashion statement. Around his waist he wears to red straps he can trap extra luggage on and on his back is an easy sack he can carry his skateboard whenever he is not riding it.

His skate board itself is custom built with red wheels, black background, and a red insignia burned into the center of the fine wood. The wheels were modified to be looser, allowing free flow momentum and speed without need to constantly brake or stop full strides. The board is also lighter to allow higher jumps and to perform tricks much faster and easier. Since Yata had been riding this board for the majority of his life, it has become a valuable asset for him, and a sort of trademark. He's almost never seen without it.

When it comes to displaying emotion and expressions, Yatagarasu is not a stranger to it. If he's pissed, you'll tell from the snarl. Same if annoyed or happy. He's never been the type to hide how he is feeling so his expressions display easy on his face and play a major part of his appearance. In the end, this becomes his biggest flaw because since he looks so troublesome, people get the wrong impression of him even when he's looking to do good. This bring unwanted intimidation, even when he's not trying to be intimidating.

In Orgia Mode that he has called his Overdrive phase, his skin becomes darker and the appearance of flames come across his body (Picture seen above). The main difference is his body begins to smoke as if he was on fire himself, and his iris take a keener yellow/orange gaze that make it appear as if a fire is raging inside his soul. Though he is still human, with the plume of dusk implanted inside of him through experimentation any supernatural readings would get a mix of both his human side and supernatural properties. Over his heart is an X shaped scar where the operation took place to infuse a plume of dusk within a human host to see the results. When in Orgia Mode, this X glows a bright orange aura. Other than this, there are no other signs that show he has had any such operations or was crafted as an experimental weapon.

Personality:

Yatagarasu comes off as a reckless anarchist without a cause. He has a vicious streak that precedes him and is a brawler with every meaning of the word. Self control is an option to him, but he can't help but cause alittle trouble from time to time. He believes it keeps things interesting, and ultimately keeps him happy. When he was a child he had a very bad run in with his house burning down, and though people would think this would have him fear fire; he marveled at the destructive power it held. Though this fire claimed the lives of his parents, he still respected its power. This made him into what some would can a arsonist, and though he does not burn down buildings he does show fascination when it comes to the essence of flames itself. Like the thought of flames, the boy believes himself to be a destructive force. With his attitude, foul mouth, and over all appearance, one could even say he was born in the flames himself. Even when showing affection or respect for others, he bad mouths them. However, his badmouths come more off like him attempting to praise them with a ridicule such like "I've done it faster but I GUESS that was pretty cool." and the like. One could even call him a Tsundere when it came to display emotions to his peers. This is because he was raised in a household that never really emphasized on the benefits of having friends and others by your side even though it was an orphanage. So he mocks others who rely on friendship, but he isn't above working with others if it's for a common goal or if he just generally likes them.

When it comes to hobbies, Yatagarasu has a high talent when skateboarding is involved. As a child he enjoyed the feeling of being free when skating, and as he grew this feeling of freedom and true mobility blossomed into a potential future profession for him. He has become so adamant about skating that he partakes in various events hoping to make it his job in the future to either create custom skateboards for others or to compete in events against thousands across the globe. One could say this is the one passion keeping him on the right track and not making him fall into a life full of nothing but trouble and crime. His skateboarding has gotten him involved with a few friends that do cause trouble around the city, and they could be classified as a "gang"; but Yata himself just sees it as having a fun time. For someone like him, taking life too seriously isn't the way to go about life. It's all about the moment, and whatever happens happens. But if you can beat the shit out of that "whatever" then do it and change things to how you want it to be. Though he doesn't particularly understand you can't beat everything into submission with violence, and that violence in itself isn't just a game.

When it comes to hospitals, doctors, and orphanages; Yatagarasu has a strong dislike. It came mostly from the orphanage he grew up in selling him off to be used in experiments that involved infusing Plume of Dusk into human hosts to see if they'd develop the same as a conventional Anti Shadow Suppression Weapon. When the experiment proved to be a failure, he released from the orphanage and forced to raise himself with other failed test subjects. Little did he know these very kids would become a member of a gang of skateboarders that took them in and showed them the ropes of life. When it comes to those others, he shows a high level of respect even though he's still not a firm believer of friendship or partnership. When it comes to Doctors or Scientist, however; he becomes much more violent and disrespectful. He had even contemplated burning down the orphanage that was associated with the Scientists that used him as a guinea pig for their experiments, but was convinced otherwise but the other subjects that were released. Though even then, Yatagarasu couldn't let it go, as he holds onto grudges which proves to be one of his worst traits.

When it comes to combat and display his strength for others, the teen may show off alittle but he makes sure to get the job done. Though he enjoys to give a show, he buckles down and makes sure victory is in his grasp before doing anything too extreme. Even so, he will mock his opponent during combat and even call them a dumbass if he feels they are wasting his time. He's not above laughing in their face if they fail to defeat him, or even give him a challenge in the least, making him a very disrespectful fighter.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Strength Name: Freeflowing Skateboarder
—Description: Yatagarasu uses a skateboard as his main form of transportation. He's very proficient in riding and it gives more freedom to him than those using their own footwork, allowing him to move swiftly and pummel those in combat while keeping up movement with ease. This has become his trademark hobby and skill; and it's not rare to see him doing many tricks around the area in his free time. The user can fluidly move around on both land and air making the environment their playground allowing them to kick off almost any surface and air dash, swing around lampposts and grind along rails and battle enemies with speed and style. Using this ability, the user can easily use their environment to their advantage, such as skating along walls to escape an enemy attack.

—Strength Name: Battlefield Adaption
—Description: This allows the user to adjust to different battlegrounds to use the area to their advantage, encompass the subtle changes so their own combat is not impeded, and to hold onto skills learned on the battlefield to remember later on.

—Strength Name: Speedy Brawler
—Description: Yatagarasu is by no means a professional fighter, but the speed of his attacks make him formidable in combat, even against those who have M/A training. With the proper training to encompass this latent boost of speed in attacks, he'd surely be a force to reckon with. Combined with his skateboard antics and battle ground adaption, he's quite competent in battle to say the least.

—Strength Name: Body Language Reader
—Description: The user can intuitively read others' body language, allowing them to anticipate their actions and respond accordingly. The user can tell when someone is nervous, lying, or even attempting to get their guard down.

—Strength Name: Intimidation
—Description: Yatagarasu has a rare skill of intimidating others into spilling the beans or giving up information whenever he wants the truth. This can lower down to simply beating it out of them or scaring them into telling the truth.

Weaknesses:

—Weakness Name: Poor Runner
—Description: Without his skateboard, Yatagarasu isn't the best when it comes to mobility with his own footwork. He gets tired easily when running long distances, and he's not as agile as others, making it appear he has two left feet.

—Weakness Name: The ASSW that never Was
—Description: Being human and only implanted with a Plume of Dusk, Yatagarasu does not have the same benefit as one who was completely machine. He feels pain, he can not evoke his Persona with a thought but instead with an evoker or tarot card, and among other things he can not survive in inhumane conditions. The only thing he has retained from the experimentation is the ability of Orgia Mode.

—Weakness Name: Reckless Fighter
—Description: Yatagarasu is a reckless fighter, not above putting himself in danger just to land a good blow on a powerful enemy. He'll take a beating to the highest degree as long as he can get atleast one hit on whoever he is fighting, no matter who they are. He will even perform moves that are dangerous for everyone, as long as it can display his strength to the opponent.

—Weakness Name: Hothead
—Description: Yatagarasu speaks with vulgar language, he displays immature body language, and he dresses like a trouble maker. To make things worse he is always looking for a fight, or even going so far as to pick a fight because he thinks it's a fun time waster.

—Weakness Name: Hidden Burden
—Description: Though he doesn't display it, Yatagarasu does hide his burdens and depression behind a tough outer shell. Growing up as a test subject with deceased parents and a brother that was murdered did have some effect on him, though he never shows it. Even then, this burden is like a heavy weight on his shoulders, and when he sees someone in his same position, he treats them even worse because he can relate to where they're coming from.

The Background

History:

Sora was born in a small family, housing a Father and Mother, and an older brother. Through his childhood he was the trouble maker of the siblings while his brother was an outstanding addition to the team. While his brother succeeded in life on positive notes, Sora was more focused on the destructive side of life. He became obsessed with the destructive potential of fire at a young age. During a lightning storm one night, a flash of lighting hit out his house and caused a blaze to form. The blaze soon overtook his house. With his parents asleep, only himself and his brother made it out the burning shack alive. They literally stood outside and watched the shack burned down with their parents inside and all.

Soon after the two siblings had no where to go. There were no family members they could stay with, and as such they were sent to an orphanage on the outskirts of town. The place was shady to say the least, but both boys were atleast able to stick together and cope. Atleast they thought they would. But without any family or anyone even asking about them, this orphanage played as a perfect cover for an experimentation facility.

Sora and his brother were subject to many tests that involved psychological trauma and even physical altercations. Each of them were implanted with a Plume of Dusk, a particle used in Anti Shadow Suppression Weapons that can hold one's ego, in an attempt at meshing two personalities into one and creating a new type of weapon against Shadows. The procedure gave Sora the Codename Yatagarasu, which was to be the Persona he would unlock. His brother was named Amaterasu, which was to be the form his own Persona would take.

After years of awaiting a change within the two siblings, the scientists noticed no significant change to their structure and thus the procedure was marked as a failure. Soon after, the entire experiment became null and void, as they lost their funding to continue their research. This put alot of the orphans out on the street, seeing as there was no need to keep them around if they had no use. Being the younger brother, Sora relied on his older sibling and the brother did play the part of guardian. Getting jobs and supporting them, and making sure they had something to eat atleast once every three days. This worked for them until one job that cost his brother his life...

It was a simple hit and run but it changed everything. Whoever had done it would roll his brother up into a mat and toss them into the waters off the island as if attempting to cover their trail. The body was never found, but Sora had a feeling this was what happened. They were connected, and when his brother was killed, it was almost as if a part of himself were killed aswell. After this happened.. You could say the anarchist inside him was finally released for all to see..
