Cornered [Mass Awakening 1/2]

The loud sound of glass shattering into a million pieces broke the silence as an android leapt through the window of a 10-story building. She had hoped that by going into the tall highrises, the demons would've lost her tail, and she could easily just sneak her way out of her mess from there. But of course it wasn't that easy. She could hear the angry growls from Bastet's Watchdogs which were sprinting after her, even as she jumped. She had sent out a distress signal a few minutes ago while on the run, hoping that someone would've heard it, but...

It would seem her cry for help had fallen on deaf ears. She kept running down the street, brown eyes scanning the area for any possible escape routes. She turned a sharp left and took a shortcut through the Supermarket, zig-zagging between different aisles to hopefully throw the watchdogs off, though they didn't seem to care, smashing through the shelves as if they were made of naught but cardboard. "Shit..."

She ran past checkout in a hurry, and through the long-since dead automatic doors by kicking her way through the glass... Only to be met with a fallen over building. She was cornered.

After realizing her mistake, Abzu sighed, and turned to face her pursuers. Well, if she was going to go out... she'd go out fighting. She had no intentions of surrendering herself to them, not after all the pain they had caused her.

Scouting out the area around him to find ways to avoid the gathering demons, Drak would soon take shelter in an old Supermarket. The longer he waited, the more demons that gathered, he was soon losing patience. Sighing and going further in to search for supplies as to not waste time, he mutters "What the hell is going on? I took this way to avoid that chaos."

Soon his peace would be interrupted. The sounds of demons breaching the walls, shattering glass, and tearing through the store can be heard. With a sigh, he readies himself, waiting and seeing where these said demons will appear. Watching the chaos before him, he would notice the strange behavior. They were clearly chasing something or someone. "I could have sworn the survivors were elsewhere.. What is going on?" Stepping from the remains of the canned goods aisle, he would see the destructive path of the demons before hearing the sound of the glass of the front doors being broken. "Someone clearly didn't prep.. That's a dead end." Sighing, he approaches the sound, drawing his sword and readying himself for a fight.

Once he arrives to the front of the store, he would see the demons surrounding the girl. Muttering curses at her stupidity under his breath, he places the blade of his sword on his shoulder before carefully approaching and shouting from behind demons, "I can NOT begin on how stupid you're being. First you attract their attention and then flee. You don't flee to an open field but instead find yourself a corner. You're begging to die, aren't you? It's not that hard to scout your surroundings before pursuing your objective. It just might save your life next time!" He huffs and shakes his head, hoping his yelling attracted the attention of other people so he doesn't have to die in such a miserable place just for some stupid girl. "With that said... En Garde, you ugly mother fuckers! May death always haunt your kind!"

Beverly huddled underneath the blanket as she made her way to the sounds of something going on nearby. She wasn't exactly in the best mood since not only was she freezing and finding almost nothing except a few blankets to help keep her warm, but also because of the headache she had from what ever that message was. Hell she wasn't even sure how she got it she didn't have any receiver or anything.

Climbing up on top of a pile or broken shelfs and rubbles Beverly saw the origin of the disturbance as a group of demons seemed to have cornered a person and then another person had come wielding a sword looking like they where about to start a fight. Beverly not wanting to miss a chance to kick some demon butt and save people while she did, leveled her rifle at the demons and fired a shot between the cornered person and the demons (totally meant to do that wasn't a miss nope not at all) "You demons must be really dumb if your making it this easy for me." She said as she stood on top of her high ground.

Helanna had left the people she was helping behind for now in a safe location, after she had gotten that sudden headache and message in her mind, she had no clue what it had been, but if it was correct then it meant there were people in need of help here, and she was going to help them, it was one of the reasons she was out here after all and she wasn't about to Shirk her duty, not to mention their situation sounded bad, Demons coming after people? Well she could try to lend aid as best she could to allow then time to escape, something she learned a while ago that her gun was useful for even if for the most part it couldn't do to much to the Demons.

The cold region though was what many would consider an issue, however Helanna had the Kit needed to make travel there quite easy, the heavy cloak and Thick insulated Greatcoat did a great job keeping her warm, as well as the thick fur hat, boots, and gloves, all of which were waterproof and insulated, Things she had needed when Traveling to this area to get over certain terrain between here and her home Vault. So this place's strange weather was of no concern to the Large woman.

Traveling along though finding the exact place was proving a problem and as she Traveled she heard yelling and then the report of Rifle fire and her head turned in the direction that it came from, there was a building between her and where she heard but she moved towards it regardless as she hoped there was a hole on the other side that would allow her exit.

Traveling through she could hear the sounds of demons through small cracks in the walls of the building and as she looked for a means through she was able to see through a slightly larger Crack, a girl trapped by demons, with a boy behind them, and another girl up father, seeing the entire engagement down the line of Demons between the Boy with a sword and the girl Trapped by the fallen building she had trekked through to get to this point.

Lifting her Minigun the Barrels started to spin up letting out that low drone as she muttered a prayer "Gods above please Let this Wall give way... Though it's strength once sheltered people it now traps them with those that would end them, May my Rounds pierce through the Concrete and rebar, to allow safe exit for those trapped" she said as the Minigun reached full speed.

On the other side the only thing that could be heard was the low whirring of the Weapon...before all Hell let loose and it the sound of the weapon Firing Sounded out and the wall started to get pulverized , the Demons being hit but a massive Deluge of rounds and while it wasn't doing much to them, the Sheer volume of rounds hitting them was forcing them to slide to the side, clearing the space between the Boy with the Sword and the girl that was trapped as the Demons where pushed to the opposite side of the area from which a cloud of Pulverized Concreate settled and Helanna Stepped out holding her Minigun steady on the Demons Pinning them for now.  

Striding forward the Woman Towered over everyone Present as she took up the spot that the demons had been forced to Vacate due to her weapons fire, and she released the trigger to call to the three "I have made you an exit...." she said before spinning the weapon back up to get ready to pin the Demons once more if she had to.

"How about you make yourself useful?" Abzu bit back at Drakon, her now black and red eyes focused on the enemies in front of them. The Demon dogs snarled at the newly arrived company, obviously not expecting reinforcements on Abzu's end. Regardless, they charged onward fearlessly. Or perhaps out of stupidity.

"What does it look like I'm doing, little girl?" Drak bites back, his eyes locking with the Fallen Manticore C. He charges forward and enters close combat, striking at the creature's throat and luring its attention away from the rest, giving the gunners some space to shoot.

Beverly was caught off guard when a very large woman literally blasted her way into the confrontation. Not wanting to let the opening said lady made Beverly jumped down for her her spot and charged the same demon that the sword guy attack.

Abzu took the sudden change in situation to rush in and Tried to Bring her elbow down HARD on the head of one of the Demons

As she watched the Others attack the Demons she was surprised to see them actually dealing damage to them, just a moment ago her Bullets had done nothing but knock them about from the sheer volume and velocity of the bullets, and here these three Youths were attacking and even Harming these creatures "Gods Above..." she said surprised before suddenly she felt it once more... that headache again. and she was forced to close her eyes as the pain increased, even with the Battle going on in front of her the Pain in her head only increased.

Soon the Pain fully blinded her as she fell to her knees holding her head with one hand now "No...gods... I need to help them...." she muttered as she held her head the sounds of the battle Vanishing soon as well, Before she heard a voice.

"Do you Wish to aid them? To help the Injured? to prevent Injury? to aid in pushing back these Creatures that look to despoil the land and the souls of the people that live in it?"

[color=yellow}"What? Who are you?"[/color] she asked as she opened her eyes the pain still there but her eyes opened wider as she seen everything around her seemed to be... frozen...

"I am the great healer... the Bringer of Remedies.. the Cure all.. but most importantly I am Aid in this moment of Need....Do you Accept my help?" the voice spoke with almost an urgency.

Looking at the frozen world around her even as her head felt like it was on the Verge of splitting in two, she looked to the fact that the Demons were right there, that they three Youths had suddenly attacked them instead of running through the exit she had made.. the situation could only get worse from here... "Yes...... I accept your help... but Who are you?" she asked.

The feeling started to grow... but at the same time the pain itself started to fade "I am Thou... Thou art I... Call on me and I will lend my Strength to you... Say my name... Asclepius...." the voice seemed the Vanish as it said these words in her mind and the world started to move once more.

Everyone else would see the Large woman fall to a knee holding her head, and then suddenly her eyes glowing white as she stood back up Snow blowing away from her as a sudden Pulse of Energy came from her and she Spoke.

"Oh God Of Remedies and Healing, god of Medicine and Health, allow me to cure this affliction on the world that is known as Demons...Oh God Asclepius... Aid me!" she said as her Minigun started to rev up faster then before, and the Etching on it and markings of Angels started to glow as she opened Fire A spectral being appearing beside her

While distracted with the things in front of him, Drak didn't notice the noise of the first volley of bullets from Helanna. Upon entering combat, however, he notices the distinct hum of her gun starting up, giving him a surprising jolt when a hellstorm of bullets come from outside his line of sight and hits the manticore in front of him.
Keeping a mental noted to ask what the hell was that later, he quickly recovers and reinitiates battle.

When he takes a step forward, he feels the air around him grow cold and everything seems to slow down, taking an eternity. A soft, sweet voice enters his ears, "Kill.... free.. soul... Death... guide.. Styx.." These words echo and repeat, slowly engraining themselves into his head as new words fill the void between the others. His vision blurs with darkness as time resumes for him.

For the others, this all but takes less than a second. Drak steps forward and a dark, menacing aura builds up around him before bursting out, creating a shadowy form.

This form soon condenses in on itself, turning into what looks like a playful ghost wearing a skull as a hat.

The moment it appears, the ghost thing covers the sword. When it does so, Drak opens his eyes and softly mutters, "Sanctifying this hollowed ground, I will hereby kill you and free your souls. May Death guide you across the River of Styx." before slashing in a wide arc, somehow striking all three Manticores.

Bevery stopped when the very large lady started to glow and then unload her her minigun and just watched as some human like creature appeared from inside of her. Then man who was fighting had a shadowy creature appear out of him that then knocked down two of the enemies. With all this going Beverly was unsure what to do so she just punched at the last standing enemy.
